BREAKING NEWS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS:

Luka Modric has spoken to Daniel Levy and has confirmed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur by handing in a written transfer request.

Spurs have rejected his request but once this breaks loose he will surely be on his way as it will open the door to a number of bidders.

Is that during the reported "showdown" meeting today that didn't actually take place? Modric isn't due to report back for pre season until Thursday....just saying.

I can guarantee this is not true. Modric was not at spurs today. He arrives tomorrow and will start training Thursday, yes he will meet with levy but he has not met him yet. This is complete rubbish. Any more info I have I will let you know

Just spoke to a mate at the lodge. Modric to hand in written transfer request by end of week. This is due to no names been given for transfers.

Yes i suppose the fact that a meeting didnt take place today between Modric and Levy clearly shows that no names were given for transfers to Modric in the meeting that DIDNT happen...

Modric has already said he respects the club to much to hand in a transfer request. The meeting with levy today, will go something like this. Here's 100k a week give us one more season for us to get back in top four, if not you can leave next summer.

How strange the site is called spurs rumours not facts. People in all walks of life talk at work thats how RUMOURS start. The post has not said meeting today but by end of week back Thursday meeting Friday?? Modric declares love..... don't make me laugh... Loves money like all of them. Spurs could apparently bring in Titus Bramble to replace Bassong if he leaves - he'd help out with our homegrown quota, would be cheaper than Cahill or Jagielka and wouldn't complain about being 4th/5th choice CB (whereas the other two would expect to play every week). Sunderland interested in a few of our deadwood players so could all be done as part of the same deal.

For spurs to be a top 4 team each season they need to bring in big name players who r between 20-28 for performance {Ed008's Note - This is arguably the worst post i've ever seen! :/
