looks like the mussacio deal is off levy is haggling over the price tag also kaboul is off to italy for 6 million please get rid of dawson before him

I don't think you can blame levy on this one, 17mill agreed, then other parties decide they want a big cut and all of a sudden it's 39mill getting bandid about. I'm all for paying a bit more if it gets the target we want, but honestly they can jog on if that's what it's going up to

If this one is off, then for gods sake let's sign the Celtic Dutch CB before Southampton do!

To be fair on SS News Website Villareal Chairman was quoted as saying:

"Musacchio has a contract until 2018, therefore he will be here for four more years, " said Roig.

"If someone wants to come and pay what he is worth, then we will talk.

"For the player to leave, it depends on three parties, not just one or two - he has a contract.

"If he is wanted, then for Villarreal it is fine, but only if the money is paid up front."

At this Point they wanted the release clause of 50.000.000€

Don't think one can blame Levy if this one doesn't work, there are some ownership issues and a legal case in Argentina over the ownership.

You are all fools! The deal is certainlyee not off. Spurspanyol on twitter say that the fee will not exceed 20M and we are just waiting until Villareal find a replacement. This deal will happen, we just need a bit of patience.

I was wondering where oracle is. I need him to back up my point!

We knew about these complications when entering negotiations. I'm hearing that we are still confident a deal can be struck as the player is very keen on the move

Agree with the consensus that we cannot rely on the media to judge the health of negotiations. They are the ones stumbling along gathering information to try and piece together a story.

I am sure our club now has enough experience trying to agree deals for South American targets; If a sensible deal can be done I believe it will be, although this guy has not been part of our pre-season and would not have much time to settle before the season starts; so are there any better options?

I have a suggestion, if River Plate are the stumbling block and they want more money (bearing in mind they only get a third so extra £10 mil transfer fee would only get them £3.5mil) why don't we keep the transfer at £17mil and then just give them £3.5mil on something like 1st refusal on one of their bright prospects?

Yes, he is Dutch and plays for Celtic!!!
