Everything has gone quiet on these Croatian kids, was it all just smoke in the water? Also, anyone know anything concrete about Gerard Deulofeu?

JP Spurs {Ed002's Note - Gerard Deulofeu was one of the two Barcelona players who was again discussed between Barcelona and Chelsea clubs earlier this year and Chelsea were told he would not be sold. Offers from Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen have been rejected. If a sale is possible, expect interest from Bayern Munich and also an approach from Txiki Begiristain on behalf of Manchester City. Everton, Spurs and Roma are all interested in taking the player on loan.}

Hi ed, is Leandro damiao closing on a move to Southampton, that would be annoying! {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao has complex ownership issues so it will not be an easy ride for any potential buyer that wants to negotiate a low fee. The player still says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable, but they have taken a look at him. There was been some interest shown by Dortmund earlier in the year and they went as far as speaking to Internacional about the player but they have moved their attention elsewhere now. Right now Napoli is continuing to show the most interest and it is a destination that, I understand, would be agreeable to the player - but they are not happy with the asking price. l'OM remains very interested but the price being asked is far too high for Marseille. This leaves Spurs who are well placed to look for a deal should they continue with their interest - but they are looking elsewhere. I understand that whilst there is certainly interest from Southampton, there has been no formal offer from them.}

Spurs are after targets that represent better value. Damaio won't be coming to spurs. Its been going on too long now for him to turn up

Agree4 Disagree1

Ps there's no way he is going to southampton either. Probs a smokescreen for a european club to come in and sign him

Agree3 Disagree1

The truth with Damiao is that spurs still want him but will not meet their asking price. If he wants Chelsea then there is only one reason why a player would want that £€$.

Agree3 Disagree2

It would have nothing to do with CL football and winning trophies, would it no name? Something your club cannot offer.

Melbourne CFC

Agree2 Disagree5

Melbourne stick to cricket and bbq's, you fluked the cl after finishing below lil Tottenham after spending a lot more and then just about finished above us last season. How long have you supported Cfc for? Let me guess, since 2003! Money has nothing to do with players signing for Chelsea does it.

Agree4 Disagree1

Well clearly not Melbourne, if he joins Saints then proves he doesn't care about that. I'll bet they will give him a very decent wage.

Agree0 Disagree1

Money has an important part to play in all signings, not just chelsea ones.

Jordan

LD is s****, what is all the fuss about? He spends more time in the medical centre than on the pitch! If he was that good why is NO ONE interested in him other than Southampton ( no disrespect meant to Southampton)? Answers on a postage stamp - he is pump!

Cheers

Can any ed clarify if Brazil striker Fred has signed for Shaktar please. A couple of weeks ago a Fred had been reported as signing for them but since the Confederation Cup it seems that he hasn't. Is tgere another Fred?

Also Paulinho seems to have contradicted himself, he says tgat it was just Tottenham that were in for him with Inter but today has said that he had an offer from Russia. Am a little baffled. {Ed002's Note - There are two - it is not the one who played in the Confederations Cup who signed but the one from Atletico Mineiro.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Hey Ed, the Fred that Shakhtar has signed was an Internacional's player and is not a striker, he's an midfielder that goes up front constantly.
It'll probably be a problem, thinking about Damião, because Internacional doesn't need money right now
