There's a young Algerian striker making quiet a name for himself at Parma. Ishak Belfodil... Juventus have been watching him for a while. He's being tipped as the next Benzema. 20 years old, quick, strong and knows where the back of the net is. Probably be available for around £3-4 million. Would love him in our squad. Ed, you know anything about him? {Ed008's Note - I've seen him a bit of him he's doing well for Parma your right with quick, strong decent finisher I don't think he could be 1st choice he needs to play reguarly say with Parma for like another season to judge him then.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I believe he is French and was sold to Parma by Lyon. I saw him play then and he looked really decent! Also Wissam Ben Yedder looks quite good for Toulouse as an up-and-coming striker :)

Agree1 Disagree0

A quality proven striker to replace Adebayor is needed with the exception of Utd no top 6 team give young forwards any game time in the PL and buying more young talent will just hamper the prospects we already have at the club like Coulibaly and Kane

ou812

Agree7 Disagree2

Totally agree with you about coulibaly, he's class! Harry Kane on the other hand struggles to get a game at Norwich so dont think personally that he'd get a game for spurs again

Agree1 Disagree0

Harry kanes been injured at norwich!

Agree0 Disagree0

Harrys been injured and has only just returned to fitness !
thats probably why hes not been playing, not the fact that hughton doesnt rate him.

Agree1 Disagree0

And you know that coubilly is class because?
have you watched him week in, week out?
or simply repeating whats said on here?
there are other members of that squad who are showing real talent and are great prospects, not just the beast.

Myself and 6 of my close mates travel to spurs nextgen games all over the globe! We do this because getting tickets to the lane are offen hard to get hold of, so for us it's a nice change to see our youth in action! You should try it mate, it'll get you out the house

Rumour has it that Spurs are in the process of finalising a deal that would see them bringing in a new midfielder at the end of the season. Toulouse star Moussa Sissoko is free to negotiate with other clubs, with his deal due to expire at the end of the season, and it's thought that Tottenham are working on a pre-contract agreement with him. t/s

Spurs have agreed a deal to sign Lewis Holtby as is being reported by a website, well done levy if this comes off.

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Big risk, id rather everton of made the mistake than us

Agree2 Disagree15

Risky? Germany under-21 captain, played a few times for the full national team, regular in the first team and we're getting him for free. What exactly do we have to complain about?

Agree12 Disagree3

^^ why? hes a free? biggest problem is you lose a years wages which we could make back on the transfer.. risk + pressure free if you ask me!
at that i think hell be a success from what ive seen of him.

Haymaker

Agree6 Disagree0

Big risk? 22 years old and already a german international for free? Have you seen the german national team, ludicrous amount of talent! Brilliant signing COYS

Agree9 Disagree0

A young German international, on a free with CL league experience is a risk??
Again, he will cost nothing!!

Definitely a gooner making the original comment.

COYMFS. {Ed008's Note - Guy who made that hasn't got a clue..

Work for a down market news paper..Spurs in middle of summer deal for Holtby can take 2weeks to confirm, mouthinho will see out season with porto and PSG if any club is more likely to get his signiture due to wage demands . Spurs are talking to Willian but also this would only be a summer deal as he wants to see out shaktars champions league campaign.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Spurs official site says all done subject to medical

Only took 2 hours rather than weeks for the announcement! Good post mate any more info? I've been seeing reports floatina around on twitter from Brazil that Tottenham have had a $24 million bid accepted for Damiao any truth in this one ed?

Agree2 Disagree1

Even though he got it right....he was coming to us or the from the south....he made the right choice though.

Yid mark

ps he is for sure a janitor

Agree0 Disagree1

Guys i do work for a paper. I even mentioned who but where it says (downmarket paper) that was overwritten by this site . Dont believe me try it yourself. I was imformed that the holtby deal would go through in a few weeks. However unknown to me it was rushed through can only think due to arsenals interest. The Damiao deal is also in progress but copensation and 3rd party payments are a huge issue in this deal. Spurs can agree a £20mill plus sum for damiao but between £5-10mill will be used to buy out the 3rd partys. I no this is a spurs site but heads up on Arsenal. A deal taking Villa on loan is very near.

Hi all and Happy New Year Spurs fans!
First of all I am sharing some information that I was given last night from a guy who has a corporate box at spurs, and even he said this is just talk but I thought I would share anyway. Not doing an Oracle here ;-)

The deal with Moutinho is quite simply going to be long negotiations but he has been talking to AVB a lot over the past few months and does want to work with him again. It is all about the 3rd party fee as everyone probably knows about because the clubs came to an agreement over cost c£22m I understand.
Holtby - Levy wants him in the summer for obvious reasons, and he is V interested in coming.
Osvaldo - there has been conversations with the Roma over a move (but at early stages)
Willian - We came very close to signing him in the summer and apparently Shaktar changed the goal posts at the last minute (Chelsea stepped up their interest) but we have reignited talks with them.
Llorente - Forget about it - he is off to Juventus!
Eriksson - Ajax will hold out as their will be a bidding war but JV has been speaking with him and he is very interested in coming - saying that if AC Milan come in and offer him £150, 000 a week what would you do... go there!
Sneijder - This is an interesting one, VDV has something to do with this as he put the two in contact together. Sneijdder wants out of Italy all together as he is fed up with the financial mess and constant BS between board and team. He wants to come to the PL and wants to slot into a great stable club. VDV has sung our praises apparently and said that we play the style of football he would like to play. there has been a rumour that spurs and the player has already agreed a package but my friend said that, that was simply an exaggerated turn of events but they have spoken in depth about the opportunity. Still a lot to do with this one.

Anyway to be honest I think our main aim needs to be a Striker - we are solid in midfield and with Kaboul coming back into action in a few weeks we will be super solid at the back. Lloris looks quality as well.

I personally would love to see the Brazilian we are always talking about Damiao - but can he cut it in the PL? All the talks over here will be a pressure cooker for him if he arrives.
Would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on the striker they think we need.
As I said at the top this is simply some information I was given from a guy who is there every week.

Rosco #COYS

Believable10 Unbelievable4

I disagree. I think our main priority is to sign a creative midiflelder to partner Sandro in midfield. Pushing dembele up top behind a striker is essential!

Agree4 Disagree4

We have too many midfielders who can be creative. Dembele is now playing the modric role in a 442 and with Holtby joining why do we need a creative midfielder?
We need goals, we waste too many chances.

Agree3 Disagree2

Have you seen Moutinho play? I'm guessing not. Thankfully, AVB has. Probably one of the top five box-to-box midfielders in Europe right now. World class.

Wanted him last summer and I want him now.

Agree4 Disagree0

We have created more open play chances than any other team this season, it just shows how much we need a striker, we should be scoring a lot more goals. i've heard we agreed a fee with inter for damiao, praying its true

I have heard from my friend who is a receptionist at Spurs (as previously mentioned) they have told me they heard DL taking a mobile call and saying that Holtby is considering his options as Arsenal have now also submitted a pre contract offer.

I know our interest in him has been quite public but interesting news if true that we seem to have offered a pre contract already!

THFC4EVER

Believable0 Unbelievable7

I believe you ! i am sure DL would take his phone very private phone call in front of his receptionist when he has a huge office to conduct his dealings in .

Fool.

Ed, what do you make of this?

Spurs Have Renewed Thier Attempts To Sign Joao Moutinho? Is This True Ed? I Read This On ? Ed, Is It Truee? {Ed002's Note - The interest has always remained but screwing around in the summer means Spurs will need to not only stump up whatever fee Porto think is right but also do a hard-sell on the player, as Moutinho has hinted a move to PSG would suit him best - and PSG are interested.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Have family living out in portugal and i'm not sure if they are winding me up or not but the deal is as good as done. it has taken such a long time as the owner or chairman of porto is so difficult to deal with and the players agent has been trying to get over £150, 000 a week for him. it is said the player prefers a move to psg but that is only to get a better pay day from spurs.

Agree1 Disagree4

So is he gonna sign?

Agree0 Disagree2

If theres efforts to hold our club out so that the player can get more money out of us then fffff... fack him off i don't want someone like that at our club he is already showing us what sort of person he is

Spurs open up talks to bring in Bazilian starlet Damiao.

Deals for Moutinho, Holtby and Willian wil happen in summer and not this window.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Any deal for Holtby will be done as soon as possible as he is out of contract in the summer, he may well not join until the summer, but I am sure if he is of interest to spurs a pre-contract agreement will be what spurs are after. Don't think Willian will happen at all, Shaktar seem even more difficult to deal with than Levy and every time his name is mentioned his price seems to go up by about £10m.

THFC4EVER

Agree0 Disagree1

I would think any deals being done now for any of those players to come in the summer would include a contingency on us being in CL next season.

To the person who posted earlier regarding Moutinho, I am now seeing a lot of reports that Spurs have re-opened talks with Porto/Moutinho as advised by his representatives.

Lets all hope we get him before the Man Utd game!!

Hi ed what do u think about the papers saying Tottenham are leading the race to sign France midfielder Moussa Sissoko, 23, on a pre-contract agreement from Toulouse what do u think of him is he better then m'villa and what are the chances of getting either, also were being linked with pierre-emerick aubameyang from st.etiennes what do u think if him and our chances? have u heard anything not already been reported thanks {Ed002's Note - Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko has previously attracted interest from Milan, Arsenal, Lyon, Roma, Genoa, Liverpool and probably Napoli. Damien Comolli went as far as letting Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool saw Sissoko as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard - but for some reason the club failed to make the final push to buy the player. Sissoko remains available (as he has done for two years) and Juventus, Newcastle and Spurs have enquired - with a tentative agreement being reached with Newcastle and Juventus over the price. Juve probably have the edge right now.

After a year at St Etienne Aubameyang has attracted the attention of Fiorentina, Manchester City, Manchester United, Zenit St Pete, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Spurs and PSG, probably amongst others. He has said in the past the one day his dream would be to return to play with a great Milan side. I didn't see him leaving the Geoffroy-Guichard in January but I understand that if a significant bid is made that St Et will give it due consideration. Such a bid is being pondered by Fiorentina.}

Hi Eds, is there any truth in a bid for David Villa?

Would no doubt be a world class player, but cannot see any way in which he would want to come to spurs even if barca let him leave before end of season (which they wont). {Ed002's Note - Given Villa has never wanted to play outside of Spain, is 30+ and no doubt be expensive in terms of insurance and wages, I am not so sure it would be a great move by the club. Whilst he and Sanchez will be sacrificed, I suspect the summer is the more likely time for a move. I don't know of any bid from Spurs at this time.}
