Heard from people close to the club that hugo lloris is basically a spurs player and that the rumour the deal is off is just Lyon trying desperately to keep a star player.
Apparently Spurs only have to agree personal terms with Rondon and then its a done deal

Apparently Rondon is on his way to Russia
Agree4
Disagree3
Its only rumour hes goin to russia its a stunt so malaga can get more money from us by saying rubin have offered more then 10 mill we offered to see will we up the offer
Agree0
Disagree4
Is Rondon really any good heard he's a second rate striker anybody really no
ou812
Agree3
Disagree1
Hes only 22 at his goals got malaga 4th last season he still has alot of time to become world class at only 22 at the moment he ai t the best striker in the world but he can be hes maybe a step away from being world class at the mo all he needs is a good team to give hom plenty of assists which with us would suit his game he can hold the ball up well too
Agree1
Disagree0
I love the number of threads saying that clubs are pulling stunts and stuff. It's not really how transfers happen in the real world.
Agree1
Disagree4
He's not a bad striker at all, still young, very strong, direct, very good in the air, still a bit raw but I would say he's a good option to have in three. Not the skill or experience to be a first choice main striker yet though
Agree0
Disagree0
Who says tht these stunts dont really happen.... m8 u got a lot to learn coz clubs often say they've accepted a deal from another club so they get a higher offer from the only club thts actually showing interest. i just said this is a possibility with rondon

I wouldnt disagree with the post linking us to Sterling of Liverpool. I said months ago we were interested in him and apparently Sterling is keen to move back south but Liverpool rate him highly and will want to keep him.
spurs guvnor

He doesn't want to move back. He's staying where he is

To Spurs Guvnor, were you the one who posted on the Mighty Arsenal site, that you would be above us at the end of last season?
Gooner4life

It must be a rather sad existence being a Gooner with nothing better to do than peruse through Spurs related websites. Sounds to me like you're getting nervous 'cos there's no gap for us to mind these days, Gooner4life.

I guess you just can't see the gap. After all, it is dark in our shadow.

Hulk would be to expensive to by I reckon we should by someone like demba ba for 8,000,000 and send falque to them on loan cause adebayor is asking for to much money In his wages and we despartly need a striker or by huntalaar or maybe even Luuk de Jong or Daniel sturridge and mills krasic has joined galatasary for 7,000,000 on a four year contract u heard it hear first
Believable1
Unbelievable7
Luuk de Jong joined Borussia Munchengladbach in mid july, seems you heard that here first

Ba's release clause has expired

Krasnic joined fenerbahce you mean.

Dont believe sturridge will be allowed to leave chelsea for spurs unless he puts in a transfer request ..
Agree4

I think we should put in a bid in for Sturridge, £3.5 million. Give Chavski some of their own medicine after the Modric saga last season.

Levy should sit down with modric give him pay rise and hefty bonus upon qualification to champs league with modric at WHL there isnt really much transfer dealing to be done. 1 striker and a goalkeeper at the very least maybe a winger. got a lot of young talent here already. Bale sprang to life 1 season
Agree5
Disagree7
Y give him a rise for sulking, only thing to give him kick up arse and rot in reserves
Agree6
Disagree3
Even though Modric is a quality player...i dont think we should even try 2 keep him..sell him and make good use of the money we get 2 boost are squad..no player is bigger then the team..cash in y we can...also i dont think Allan would be a good replacement..we need more experience and a player already on the top of his game

I think we have solved our problems already, we now have a goal scoring midfielder, that is whats been missing for a while, I said all the long we should sell luka and bring in an attacking/scoring midfielder and sigursson is the answer. In my eyes hudd Knocks it about better modric so we even have options. Take the 35 mill and go get a world class striker. Boom.

Sigardoson isn't gonna come take the ball with3 or 4 players on him and find the space to get us going again mordic brilliant at that, we should let him go but no1 bigger then the club

I hope AVB knows what he's doing!

Its not just the finances stopping players, look at Sahin...just refused to go to spurs in the Modric deal

The £100 million icludede fees and wages.partly funded by £40 mill expected from transfers out.
The two big signings so far on four year deals of say £60k a week account for about £50 mill so in truth not a lot left.
people really need to face facts that Spurs dont have the finacial clout to spend big.

Sources close to Joe Allen. He would prefer move to Spurs over Liverpool.
Believable7

Personally I think Joe Allen would do quite well for the mighty Spurs. He is similar to Modders maybe a little more raw but with bags of potential that he can and IMO WILL develop into at Spurs.

Allen is nothing like modric, Allen is more defensively minded than modric. I no everyone wants modric to leave and for 35-40m why not, but he is one of the most talented footballers in the game and he will be a huge miss. What we need is atleast 2 strikers. Rondon is the most likely, but we should look at roberto soldado for valencia. They are in financial crisis. Also what about Rossi. I no he is injured but we can get him on the cheap as well.
Yids to win Prem

^ Yids to win Prem? Try holding a 13 point lead 1st.

Try holding on to van persie, you foolish gooner........
Agree8

Dont need him, Giroud, Podolski and maybe Carzola are more than adequate replacements, hows it feel that Sahin said no to Spurs and it looks as if he's joining us, Tottenham cant attract top players because there a small club in a city full of big clubs.
Agree9
Disagree6
Yeah well vertonghen chose us over you, you foolish gooner. Also most managers in the prem said that spurs play the most exciting football. Arsenal are now just a has been club, slipping away as we speak.
Agree7
Disagree7
Vertonghen ? You know why he chose you, cause he would have been warming the bench at Arsenal buddy, I strongly doubt Wenger even put an offer in for the clumsy fella.
Agree6

You sad Spud, when Modric goes, you will be the same old mid table team you have always been.
Looking forward to the new season, with our new players, challenging for the title, and of coarse, the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.The only foolish one's are you lot,to believe you would be above us at the end of last season.Ha Ha Ha.

The Mighty Arsenal who have more trophies than any other London club who with thier worst team in years still beat you with your best team for years are sliding away? You fool, Carzola on his way Padolski & Giroud signed. Your 'team' will be coming out to Paul Simons slip sliding away this season:):). Oh Mind That Gap!

You soppy gooners have a lot of time on your hands to be trawling the spurs page?
and cazorla, podolski and giroud?? replacements for van persie?? hha you are dreaming boys - van persie is the best striker you will ever have and HE has said your small excuse for a club has NO ambition!
Agree3
Disagree4
And vertonghen would warm then bench, when u have koscielney on the park eh?
well actually, that is quite likely if arse is picking the side i guess....
Agree2

Van Persie the best striker we will ever have? Henry, Bergkamp, players Spurs can only dream of ever having.
Agree5

Your calling Vertonghen clumsey after Mertersacker not only falls over far too ofter but can't jump and even kicks himself during a match, injurying himself for two months? and what happened to Wiltshire? Wasnt he suppose to be "coming back in 2 months" a year ago?!
Agree2
Disagree4
Think greaves, lineker, sheringham, klinsmann all better than rvp
Agree1
Disagree5
Van Persie is the best striker we have ever had, so he's better than our old striker Adebayor, and yet you can't even get him to join your team?

I'm not too impressed with this messi kid if I'm honest ed. Sure he's got a few in spain, but can he do it on a rainy tuesday night in stoke? IMO we need to upgrade lw, bale doesn't really do it for me. See if we can get downing if we offer luka and 20 million {Ed008's Note - This is a joke right ? Downing ? Bale not good enough okay....
Agree7

Downing? Are you mad. He won PFA player of the year. And downing has never won or never came close.
Agree0

I think Julio Cesar has 1 year left on his contract.
doubtful Pato will join us, we have more chance of signing Hulk (because of AVB) and that's already at a long shot!

Think we should just let modders go, thanks for all you have done for the club fella but I would much rather have £30 mill moutinho and £5 mill in the bank than a player who doesn't want to play for us! United had to let Ronaldo go when real came knocking, on the plus side Real are not an English club and how smug can we be with money in the bank and he can't even get a game!
Believable11
Unbelievable1
He can go. No problem. But someone has to match our asking price. Simple as that really.
He's under contract with us until he's 31. So ultimately it's his career that's being ruined by refusing to play etc.
In Levy we trust.
Agree10
Disagree0
Trouble is they havent offered 35 million yet, or at least not up front {Ed055's Note - Don't think they ever will
Agree5
Disagree0
And when they do it will be too late to spend it!
Agree2
Disagree0
We will keep modric then if nobody coughs up. Better levy sits down and gives him pay rise and a juicy bonus if we qualify for champions league and show we are up for this season by getting a class striker upfront
Agree2
Disagree1
Hope he goes on strike then you will be moaning get rid that will avb under pressure which he couldnt handle at chelsea sure there are other players whom at not happy at the spuds newcastle to win four nil 1st game of the season.avb gone by crimbo

Graham Hunter(sky football reporter in spain) has tonight told the daily mail and shaun custis of the sun!, real madrid have decided to abandon their pursuit of signing Luka Modric..the spanish team will now make an offer for porto's Joao Moutinho..hunter reportedly told his fellow journalist's that Levy is under strict orders from tottenham owner Joe Lewis not to sell the croatian for less than the £40m asking price!..Andre Villas Boas will sit down and talk with the midfielder after training on friday morning.
