With Abidal on a free, do you reckon he's worth a punt? We NEED a left back {Ed008's Note - He's not at the same level as he was before he had cancer..

Believable7 Unbelievable3

In a word no

Agree5 Disagree3

Thanks ed, I just thought at the moment almost any LB is better than Assou Ekotto

Agree6 Disagree3

With Danny rose coming back we don't need another left back, he preformed very well at Sunderland and he's young so we are set for left backs

Agree0 Disagree4

As an attacking left back he's been great at sunderland, defensively he's still got a lot to learn, so I don't think he will be first choice yet.

Rose is not good enough for CL football. That's the level we should be aiming for. Sell him to Sunderland and put the money towards someone better.

Hulks agent claims 2 prem teams want Hulk and spoke about Hulks relationship with AVB. - on tv

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Please levy get us the hulk!

Agree12 Disagree10

Hopefully adebayor going the other way.

"Don't make me angry. you wouldn't like me when I'm angry"

Agree10 Disagree3

Hey Edd, do you think there would ever be a price possible for Hulk that Levy would roll with? {Ed002's Note - Doubtful right now.}

Agree7 Disagree3

My oracle-esque prediction: Levy will attempt to sign Hulk on a loan with his parent club paying most of his wages for 2 years. This will be his first attempt, then he will try again on other transfer terms

Agree7 Disagree2

We coudnt afford his wages and even if we did i'm not too sure about him. has been rubbish in russia and with his hefty price tag we shouldn't really bother. could buy two really good players with what hulk would cost. Dapz

Agree8 Disagree1

Zenit paid 48m for Hulk. he not coming to Spurs lol

Agree10 Disagree1

Good. Over rated and over weight

Would love to see Eriksen coming in. Unlike the much-vaunted Damiao, anytime I've watched this kid, he's destroyed the opposition - and remember that's been against the likes of Champions League rivals like Dortmund and Man City, as well as bossing it in the Eredivisie for Ajax. Unfortunately, we are in the hands of Mr Levy and if we are going to stand any chance of getting him, we need to move fast and not at the usual snail's pace. Sadly, Liverpool are already using Daniel Agger's international links with Eriksen to smooth out a possible bid - I think your idea of exploiting Vertonghen's previous association with him is well worth exploring.

Personally, I'd love to see us grab Eriksen and Alderweireld from Ajax, Shaw from Southampton, and either Negredo, Cardozo or, dare I say it, Damiao? Even Villa would do a decent job, although I'm not convinced. In return, we could do with shedding the wages of Bentley, Gomes, Gallas, Assou Ekotto, Adebayor (more difficult than simply saying that!) and Livermore. Read an interesting post suggesting Juve's Brazilian midfield enforcer Felipe Melo as a possible transfer target. Could be a decent shout as a replacement/accomplice for a recharged Sandro.

Aldereiweld? seriously guys watch football will you he is shocking

Agree8 Disagree1

Agree. I would love to see the following:

Eriksen & Alderweireld
Damiao
Aubameyang
Capoue
Rose (recalled)

I think they are all realistic options, without Bale going at a cost of, around 60m. Realistically, the club could generate around 30m for the sale of players like Adebayor, Dempsey, Livermore, Parker, Huddlestone, Bentley, Naughton, BAE, Gallas, Dawson.

Although realistically, I can't see Spurs spending that sort of money unless Bale goes. let's hope Levy is willing to speculate this year. Hopefully, this squad for next season:

GK: Lloris, Friedel.

DEF: Walker, Alderweireld, Kaboul, Caulker, Vertonghen, Fryers, Rose.

CM: Capoue, Sandro, Dembele, Holtby, Carroll.

ACM: Lennon, Townsend, Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Bale, Aubameyang.

ST: Damiao, Defoe, Aubayemang.

Agree2 Disagree9

Isn't Melo in Turkey?

And as for Aldereiweld, Hmmm No thanks, He is very poor would be another BAE, to many mistakes.

Maybe a cheeky bid for Skrtel for Loserpool, when he is on his game IMO a very good defender.

Still in dire need of 2 strikers and as per usual every man and his dog is linked with us, but nothing ever happens quickly at the Lane, would love to see David Villa and a. n. other, think Villa's winning mentality and experience would be very useful around the dressing room, we also need another winger not sure who, I like Affelayt and a center midfielder Eriksen would be awesome, but very slim chance, I like the look of James McCarthty (Young irish guy from Wigan) and lasty we need a LB, Shaw from Soton is a good shout, but think we need a little more experience so maybe someone like Baines, Alexsander Kolarov from ManC. {Ed008's Note - Melo was on a 2year loan at Galatasary and they don't want to make the deal permanent from Juventus.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ince will only move for first team football.

Agree3 Disagree1

Eriksen likely to go to BVB.

Agree2 Disagree0

As a Liverpool fan passing by you can have Skrtle, a cheeky bid of a bag of peanuts and some maple syrup and I'll drive him to WHL myself, I wouldn't wish him on Spurs. EVER.

Also of interest Aldereiweld is going to Roma I believe and isn't very good. I can see that all fans see is Belgium CB Ajax; must be as good as Vertonghen.

Barca want Lloris because of valses getting old and we might be getting villa for free in the deal. Looks like Freidel will get more time in goal.

Believable5 Unbelievable19

Id prefer keep Lloris and get someone other than Villa, Lloris is our number 1 for the next 10 years!

Agree20 Disagree3

Most ridiculous thing I've heard.

Agree16 Disagree3

Id rather keep lloris than sign villa.

Agree15 Disagree2

Thought Barca were chasing Pepe Reina. ? That's why Liverpool are reported to be sniffing around Begovic. Certainly prefer that rumour to any linking Lloris with a departure!

Agree10 Disagree3

Valdes isn't getting old? He's 31. {Ed008's Note - Still a rubbish GK!

Agree7 Disagree0

We'll keep Lloris unless they are offering 60 million for him!
