That's funny because Bernard has agreed to stay at Atlético Mineiro to there copa libertadores is over and the first leg of the semi was only tonight. expect not much to happen with Bernard for a while, what ever he's agent says to the media

It sounds to me more like his agent trying to encourage higher bids. I don't see Porto paying the supposed 25 mill euro the club want and according to the last they commented we were the only firm offer at 18 mill euro

Porto wouldn't have to pay 25m. They would do a part-ownership deal as is very common in many European leagues. They have close ties with both BMG (the bank that owns part of Bernard) and Atletico Mineiro so they would probably only pay 10-15m

17 million isn't enough for them to part with him, wether 20 million or slightly over will do the trick I don't know. Looks like Spurs are busy trying to sign David Villa having completed signing of Paulinho
17 million is probably just an opening gambit to see what transpires, I agree we will have to pay more and it could get worse if we end up in a bidding war so not to expectant just very hopefull.

Valencia's finances are in a mess, the Valencia local government make the financial decisions and they will know that at 28 whatever offers they get this summer are going to be the most they are going to ever get
It's not the football men making the decisions but the money men
They won't sell at this stage but bide their time to see if higher offers come in but I imagine he'll be gone this summer and not at 30 mill euros
