Rumour has it that Tottenham are happy not to sign a 'big name' striker with Jermain Defoe acting as the first choice. Instead they will boost their central defence with the arrival of Jan Vertongen and sign Gylfi Sigurdsson with Luka modric inevitably set to leave

Believable3 Unbelievable13

First choice, second & third at the moment ! We have nobody else ......

Agree5 Disagree1

I'm sorry but this is clearly someone who doesn't support spurs .... Else they would know JD is our only striker unless spurs are planning on bringing up Kane and coulibaly ..... Or playing a non striker formation ...
Ie 4-6-0 or similar formations
Which I really don't see happening

Agree5 Disagree1

Don't believe this , as along with a replacement for luka "I'm to good for this club yet I was 2 bob in the 2nd half of the season as per " modric , a centre back a top striker is a priority ! I can see us going in for long telomere target Rossi ?
Neil Essex Yiddo Adams

Agree3 Disagree1

Cant see rossi happening hes due to be out till jan, we need at least 2 more strikers i love to see huntalaar i know people will say look at him in the euros but he scored over 30 league goals or rhonon off malaga people in spain rate him highly

Agree0 Disagree0

Stupid to even think we only going to have defoe up front lol...and i dont no why everyones goes on about rossi..hes not fit to train untill november so why should we take a risk when we could get some one proven

Agree2 Disagree0

Only stated the Rossi as they were relegated Villarreal , and he would be a bargain , it's not like he is injury prone it was a big injury and maybe someone worth looking at ,

I too would loved JKH he was poor in euros but can't be judged on 3 games

Personally I want Ade , he is immense work rate and scores goals ,

Harry 'twitcher' Redknapp is off again!

1st he says Modric is off and always believed in Bale, is this not the same manager who tried to sell or loan Bale to Forest

2nd he now says He tried to get Balotteli to Spurs on Loan but his club were not keen to loan, surely if he or the club thought that highly of him why not buy him!

Why come out with this s**t now! we ended up with Saha last January no major signing again! just the Redknapp circus every transfer window on Sky Sports through the Range Rover window!

3rd he once again says he is disappointed not to be at Spurs but wouldn't commit to a new contract when he thought the England job was his!

I loved the time Harry was in charge, the football was great and he will be missed but things moves on so Harry please keep quiet now and thanks for the good times if only you weren't so out spoken then maybe you would still be in charge

Believable13 Unbelievable2

We don't know Harry tried to loan Bale to Forest and Bale gave Harry a lot of credit for helping him develop
As for why loan Balotelli do you honestly think Harry wouldn't have been happy to buy him? Levy held the purse strings that's why it took Harry all last summer to get him to pay £5 mill for Scott Parker go figure why we were net in funds over the last few windows

Agree6 Disagree4

We know Levy is a tight wad but he did give Harry funds/Wages for Defoe, Crouch, Kranjcar, Kaboul, Palacios, Pinnaar, Parker, Keane (return) Adebayor, Sandro, Gallas, Friedel, Van der Vaart, Walker, Naughton etc so maybe he had given up on Redknapp especially when he wanted to take Sol campbell back on a free! and let all the youngsters out on loan and no squad rotation

Agree7 Disagree3

It's the same old story, HR probably did want to sign Balotelli but as mentioned above D.Levy holds the purse strings so not surprised at all that we don't buy £20 million plus players. No matter how good they are.
As for Bale being loaned out, HR said himself in an interview that he was LUCKY that BAE got injured as Bale would of been loaned out and would of taken longer to get where he (Bale) is now, as his standard and maturity improved significantly.

Either way Bale is still here till 2016 and that can only benefit Spurs as for Modric, his head is turned for the wrong reasons IMO Money as we are building a strong team slowly. If RM are really willing to pay what is perceived in the press then take it and lets move on.

I do honestly believe HR was sacked way to early for running off at the mouth but also that he wanted to control the transfers and DL was never going to let that happen.

He should just set a budget and tell whoever the manager is, thats what you have till whenever and let us finally win something decent....

Agree5 Disagree2

I'd love us to have buckets of cash every transfer window. The fact is we don't (technically!). Come on we ALL know DL is a businessman and IMO one that's not doing too badly for us. We are one of the only big clubs not in serious debt. Ok so that stops us getting some of the bigger players, but at least we won't end up like Rangers! We've got some class young players at Spurs, it just needs a manager with some balls to play them, instead of shipping them out season after season. What they lack in exp they make up for in enthusiasm.

COYS

Agree2 Disagree2

For me this is HR at his best. If you think about it he is saying that the new manager already has the resources to win the EPL, and that really isnt likely unless real big bucks are spent, so anything else will in effect be a failure.
Talk about blowing your own trumpet

Agree4 Disagree0

I tried to date Elle McPherson too. ;-)

We have made a enquiry about the availability of Cavani

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Oh please , everybody has enquired about Cavani , we have more chance of Sandra !!!
Davo

Agree8 Disagree2

Yes because we can afford £40 million and £150000 + for his wages.

Daniel sturridge is likely to leave chelsea and he has said he would rather stay in london at spurs than move to liverpool

Believable8 Unbelievable11

He is a good player but i not sure if he would fit in

Agree9 Disagree4

Sources please? Where has he been quoted as saying something like that? It seems you are regurgitating what has been reported a few days ago about a possible move and added your own spin on it. Chinese whispers for sure.

Agree2 Disagree4

I hope he does move to spurs class player and i think AVB rates him highly so he could move to us,if we could sign ade on pernmant basis and have sturridge and ade up front next year they would be the perfect partner ship, but i reckon we will be playing AVB style tatics 3 attacking forwards and 3 diamond ship midfield with every1 switching postions which sounds very tastey

Agree2 Disagree4

Didn't AVB play him out of position for Chelsea?? Can't see him being happy doing that again

Agree8 Disagree2

This is recycled information that was posted around a week or so ago from the Daily Stir

Agree2 Disagree0

He wanted to go to Arsenal but they weren't interested

Agree2 Disagree3

AVB didnt play him out position he excelled under him at chelsea he scored a 11 goals for them up untill he was sacked then he lost his place when dimatteo was manager

Agree3 Disagree2

How can we play a diamond with only 3 in midfield?

Heard from a mate that we're going to offer 10m plus Pienaar for everton's Jack Rodwell

Believable3 Unbelievable18

Doubt it

Agree6 Disagree4

He would be good for us

Agree3 Disagree6

We do not need him so many rumours about cm,s maybe a striker would be nice

Neil Essex yiddo Adams

Agree6 Disagree0

Injured too much

Agree6 Disagree0

Rodwell very over rated imo shud give piennaar another chance the toffees best player end of last season

Agree3 Disagree1

Your oright, hes nothing better than an average player as he continued to show throughout his time with us.
Tspur

Agree1 Disagree0

Could potentially be a very good player but cant see it. Injury prone, not g uaranteed to get a lot of games out of him and he plays in the same position as Huddlestone, Sandro, Parker.

The new dawn at Spurs is really taking shape. So far we have agreed and secured AVB & Vertonghen. Sigurdsson is now looking extremely likely as the final personal terms are being agreed. Leandro Damiao will also be joining Spurs after months of transfer discussions and jousting.

On the down side it appears that all the hype indicates Modric is most likely leaving. The only saving grace is Levy WON'T be bullied and the price will therefore be significant. The latest rumour is Sahin is not interested as touted by the press. Well I can assure you that it is Spurs who are not interested in Sahin not the other way round. AVB has already lined up Moutinho as his main target, and with Levy trying to steal Yilmaz for peanuts along with Lloris the potential looks impressive.

There is £32m available after AVB, Vertonghen, Damiao & Sigurdson. This figure does not account for the potential sales of Gomes, Corluka, Jenas, Bentley & Modric. Expect AVB to receive the freedom to shape the team with the likes of Moutinho and others.

The Oracle

Believable13 Unbelievable14

Vertonghen secured? Damiao joining? 32 mill to spend after that? Your living in your own little world my friend. I suggest you get out on your hover board for a while.......

Rufus

Agree16 Disagree3

Hope your right Oracle, would make us best team in London. Let's face it though this is Spurs something has to go wrong!!

Agree6 Disagree4

I couldn't give a damiao about that transfer. The guy won't come but Motinho sounds interesting. What do u think will happen with other actual potential strikers oracle?
Rosco

Agree1 Disagree0

Moutinho looked outstanding in the euros would be a happy spur with that acquisition, but rise tinted spectacles aside would he choose us over a bigger club no matter the manager I can only hope.
Tspur

Agree5 Disagree2

In Levy we trust
In Oracle we p*** ourselves laughing

Agree12 Disagree4

Every post for last 4 windows you have mentioned damiao, enough already.
You seem to jump on the bandwagon and rewrite what everyone else in itk land has written.
See no one mentioned bales contract before that happened.
It is all just rumour and speculation. No one knows any real facts ie bale contract.

Agree5 Disagree1

Bale himself was not itk, levy told him to sign and he did and that was that.

Oracle how many times have i told you neo is dead.

Agree2 Disagree1

Potential sales of corluka ?? Didn't he leave 2 days ago ??
In a dream world yes lloris vertoghen moutinho avb sigurdson damiao would be nice but that little lot would cost I'd say near on 100m ? Lol

Neil Essex Yiddo Adams

Agree5 Disagree1

Damiao is not coming.

Agree4 Disagree4

Man you need a life stop posting s""t Why do you claim all this with no back up lets look at your history i say no more but i will say again get a life

Agree3 Disagree0

Oracle could you post the winning euro lottery numbers for tonight or tuesday pls. Because your so spot on with the future all the time. I cant wait to be rich thanks from a gullible idiot.

Agree3 Disagree1

The Oracle, sit down mate.

John COYS!

Agree2 Disagree2

Oracle .... You've been proved wrong on sooo many occasions I now feel sorry for you .... Seriously I'm my time on this site you haven't got a single * prediction as that's all it is right * and with the amount of different apparent happenings to. It even get one right shows it .... I'm starting to feel sorry for you now not just laugh at you ...
Please stop and join us in normal terms than spouting rubbish

Agree2 Disagree0

That would be a great bunch of deals but doubt it will all happen and we'd still be a striker short!
Lloris £12-15m, Vert £10m, Moutinho £30-32m, manager wage cost is a given providing no compo involved, it may cost us an extra £2m a year compared to Harry if it's 'a big name' though, Sigurdsson £9m, Damaio £20m. £83-88m in total. Modric £30-32m, Charlie £4-6m, JJ, Bentley, Pienaar prob £10m in total. So we're up to £40million out of pocket and a striker short! Can't see us forking out that sort of money on a keeper so that would slash it a bit and I don't think Damaio is happening. More like a nominal transfer fee plus a signing on fee for Ade and then trying to get Demba Ba for £10m or Kalou on a free.
That could mean being a £20-25m ish net spend which is possible given it's quite a big overhaul and IMO would make us stronger.

Agree5 Disagree2

I suggest you scroll down the older post Mr Anonymous Doubting Thomas. The funny thing about this site is 50 are actually regurgitating my posts. I told you about Damiao and others way before the press even linked. I know things have taken longer than expected but Levy didn't want to spend £70m only to replace Redknapp and need to do it all again.

So those who simply add insults alone on this site, my message to you is just wait and see how accurate I am. Just to bring up my long standing post again, add the Olympic Stadium to my predictions as well.

The trouble with most of you is that you read the nonsense in the press who jump around like firecrackers, and then fail to stop for a moment and question them.

To the guy who asked about other strikers the targets are already comprehensive. Damiao will join Defoe and we have at least three youngsters with real potential knocking on the door of the first XI. I am not sure of AVBs intentions but am sure Coullibally could step up Right now for example. Levy will clearly try a few steals and it is no secret we are buzzing around Yilmaz, Demba Ba and a whole host of cheaper options.

The Oracle

Agree3 Disagree1

Remember though for each bit of deadwood we shift we get wages back

Gallas, Gallas, King, Kranjcar, Corluka, Pienaar, One of our 3 keepers, Saha, Nelsen, Bassong etc

Even putting them on an average of 40k a week that's nearly £21m a year! Granted the new players will draw wages too but if we get fewer we will still be saving

We tend to spend an average of £20m net a season on new players but haven't done so in the last 2 years. It all adds up. Trust me we have money to spend. It's just getting the players good enough to improve us to come inside our wage structure

Agree3 Disagree0

Damiao has already said he is not interested in a spurs swap.
he is not who we are going to get.
this is for sure.
we will get a few additions, but do not expect many big names, the money is just not there

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget the champions league money!
Tspur

Agree1 Disagree0

Oracle you are unreal, so everyone copies your posts about rumours funniest thing I've read in ages.
Name one thing you, and you alone have predicted, not a damn thing. The reason we are mr anonymous doubting Thomas is cos you are never right. You read ll the fanzines, itk sites, spurs sites and other sites and you twist it into your own words and try and make yourself sound grown up.
You are laughable, never correct and a bit of an embarrassment if truth be known. And please, don't get your mum on here to defend you again. I'm still laughing because you keep persisting with damiao and the Olympic stadium.
I suppose if you throw enough mud, something, someday will stick

Agree0 Disagree0

Sigurdson has passed a medical. Source news now

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes that is correct, Levy has a budget of £20m each transfer window but this includes new contract deals (for example Bale and Walker and Kaboul I think) this transfer window. I read this from another website which was ITK. Now for you all to do a Carol Vorderman!

Now for my opinion, we will not her Lloris, Friedel still has one more year in him just about),
Gallas will go (I read a couple of months ago abroad probs USA),
King will be coach , he will not play.
Expect to see Caulker in the first team next season
Coubailly expect to see next season (quality player and done really well in Next Gen tournament)
Kane will be loaned to a premiership club.
Naughton will be back up for Walker and will be rotated.
Ceballos will be loaned to a championship club at some point next season.

There will also be a free signing this window in order to provide cover.

The Rabbit

PS We are going to the Olympic Staduim, it's being used as Leverage to raise finance off the Government and Boris.

PPS WE WILL SIGN DAMIAO. I predict he will be signed and then loaned back to come in January.

PPPS Outside bet, we will get Owen or Kalou

Agree2 Disagree1

Oracle states the following -

"but am sure Coullibally could step up Right now"

110% agree. The kid ozzes class. Before you post that this his mum. Nope, this is

Flippit

Agree2 Disagree0

Guys coulibaly is a very talented player, who I'm sure will wine day be brilliant. But the fact is he has only been in the country for a year, and is only 17. 17. He needs to stay and learn the tottenham way in the youth and reserve teams. He should be no where near the first team next season. Coulibaly only scored 2 in nextgen, Pritchard scored more. I repeat, he is not ready and doesn't need any more pressure

Agree1 Disagree0

Why is the Olympic stadium still being mentioned? Land adjacent to White Hart Lane has already been cleared. 3 quarters of the stadium will be built before moving in and them demolishing the existing stands & completing the build.

Agree1 Disagree0

If you are really ITK oracle, why is it that you only started to mentioned to Sigurdsson AFTER it emerged on every other site first ? Before you throw your toys out of the pram, remember that we can all see the dates and times of your posts.

Agree1 Disagree0

If Coulibaly is that good get him in the 1st team squad,we always have promising youngsters and they get lost in reserves or farmed out on loan and eventually moved on if your good enough your old enough

Ed any update on adebayor?

Also, what are the odds on moutinho?

I fancy montilivo myself, quality player!!! Much better than modders who I adore {Ed002's Note - No; 30M euros is the quoted price; moved

Believable1 Unbelievable2

There was a lot of rumours flying round a few seasons back that Everton were close to signing Moutinho but they couldn't match Sportings asking price, I believe it was about 15mil, I bet they're kicking themselves now...
