Just read, Berba has turned down both foirntina and juve. Rumour is he is to join fulham,to link up with MJ again.
So juventus still looking for a striker and will Berba turn up at spurs again.

Moutinho, maybe willian, affalley on loan(with a view to buy) and a striker, then levy is looking at £150million

Can Levy afford it? FFP and all that. This is a question I was asking myself afew days ago, so I crunched some numbers - here are my findings.

These figures cover transfer windows since (and including) Jan 2011 and do not include loans as they pritty much cancel each other out.

Rafael van der Vaart has agreed to a three-year deal with Hamburg, but the German club and Tottenham Hotspur are still nearly £5 million apart on the transfer fee, according to Bild.

Apparently, Hamburg are offering £10 million for van der Vaart, while Daniel Levy is insisting upon a hair under £15 million.

If this is true were losing a world class player and signed one. Need to keep as many top players, its gonna be a long season.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas wants to sign 25-year-old Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho from Porto and Russia striker Alan Dzagoev, 22, from CSKA Moscow, but could lose Jermain Defoe, 29, and Rafael van der Vaart, 29.

Live out in portugal and there are rumours over here about hulk and moutinho. it seems porto are willing to sell both players as long as they get about 60 - 70m for the pair of them. it seems that porto did accept a bid between 30 - 40m for hulk, but the player has refused to move to russia stating he would prefer to play in england or spain, as a result it looks like he will be staying until at least january. with moutinho some pundits have claimed that spurs and porto are still talking about a deal and that at the moment it is 50/50 whether it goes through or not. porto want 25m in full but they claim spurs have offered about 15m upfront plus a player, with gds and bentley being the names quoted.

They can have gds and bentley gets them both out

Porto have rejected a £39m offer from Russian club Zenit St Petersburg for striker Hulk and stressed that the Brazilian is not for sale.
Villas-Boas, who managed Hulk at Porto, retains an interest in his former charge but is aware that his new club Tottenham cannot afford his wages or transfer fee.
Porto president Pinto da Costa has revealed that the club have rejected a huge offer from Russian Champions Zenit.
"They offered €50 million and I refused," the Porto president is quoted as saying in Portuguese newspaper Record.
"For that I can guarantee that neither Zenit nor any club will be successful [in their attempts to sign Hulk]."

What is the point of this post!

Zenit's £40 mill offer was accepted. It was Hulk that refused to enter negotiations as he prefers to move to the EPL or stay in Spain.

What are your thoughts on us getting a striker before Friday? And who potentially, realistically, may it be? {Ed008's Note - 7/10 I reckon Llorente is a real possibility if the club want to sign him as Juventus are in disucssions with Berbatov and Bendtner according to Italian reports. Spurs could go in for Willian but all depends now with Llorente. I'm not saying it will happen but things could get interesting.

The CEO of Shaktar Donetsk says the club have rejected a fresh offer from Tottenham for forward Willian and claims the Londoners are also interested in Douglas Costa and Fernandinho.


The Lilywhites had a £9m bid for the player rejected last week and Sergei Palkin, Shakhtar CEO, has revealed a new bid of around £11m has also been turned down.

"Mr. Levy, the Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur FC, personally flew to Donetsk to negotiate over Willian. But his latest offer was 15 million euros, which we, of course, did not accept," Palkin told the club's official website.

Strange how he actually flew there and didn't just call.
Am I right in saying dzagoev (spelling) plays in that part of the world too??
I think, my opinion tho, we will sign lloris tomoro and a surprise no.9.
If that happens, then our transfer business this year has been amazing.

Released today but not available to buy from online shop yet.

It has been available to buy from 09:30 this morning for £45 excl names, numbers and p&p. Volume of traffic is slowing the process down, but my order went trough eventually.

Ed is there any truth in the talk that Lennon, Dawson and VDV are up for sale? {Ed008's Note - Their not for sale but if a acceptable bid is made then the club will consider it providing they can get a replacement. These days money talks!

I'm getting to like what AVB is up to, if he can get the right players in and get them playing his way, we could have a very fast dynamic team, with players capable of moving about the field with great fluidity. No one trick ponies.

That's 11 Man Utd like to play 4-2-3-1 theirs 4 midfield spots Kagawa and Valencia are certs no way you can play Dembele in the 2 man he's attacking player and I don't think he'd want to be on the bench.

Think we would guarantee him first team football and will sign for us. He's already had a medical and i expect him to be announced today. your thoughts ed? {Ed008's Note - You've basically said it all 1st team football,european football etc I'd expect today an announcement maybe even 2 signings.

He wouldn't be on the bench ed, he start in a midfield two with cleverley.

JK92 {Ed008's Note - In your team he would start but this is SAF who clearly has his favourites Fletcher would be 1st choice if he was fit, Carrick aswell. You need someone defensive minded in the middle.

Old red nose does have the habit of buying strikers and turning them into midfielders then if they dont shape up he flogs them

Fletcher is nowhere near ready for the team, and carrick is second best to cleverley and anderson.

I hard deals done by spurs could be LLoris, Moutinho or Willian ... eds any info? {Ed008's Note - Lloris I got told a fee was agreed but I'm not convinced but I would expect more developments on him today. Porto want stupid money for Moutinho I'm not sure it can happen unless the player forces a transfer, I think Spurs will up their bid for Willian.

Is £23m for Mouthinho that much more stupid than £18-19m for Wilian. Not sure what Porto would take but presumably would need to be that much. I think Moutinho is definitely £4-5m better.

Manchester united are set to bid £15.5 m for moussa dembele. The midfielder impressed sir Alex ferguson during fulhams 3 - 2 loss to Manchester united and after tottentham hotspur last night had a bid accepted for dembele, ferguson has acted quickly. Despite the midfielder having a medical today with spurs it is thought of that if an offer came in from united he would choose united over spurs.
Looks like we have got to act quick !!

I think any last minute signing at Man Utd would more likely be a defender given their injuries. They do still need a new midfielder or two at some point in the next year or so but, with Cleverley returning and Kajawa already bought (and spending £24m on Van Persie), i'm not sure.

I've got some very interesting information Spurs will make one last attempt to sign both Willian and Joao Moutinho which will cost 17 and 20 million , both these deals will go down on the deadline say along with dembele(which could happen before the 31st) these deals will mean that Aaron Lennon is no longer needed at the club and will make a 7 million pound move to Liverpool who look likely to miss out on Theo Walcott to Manchester city.

If Walcott is worth £12m+ with a year left on his contract then Lennon is easily a £10m+ player, in fact should be the same. Why there are so many hard-ons about Walcott I don't know, he's average at best and in any team outside the top few he would struggle to ever make an impact and often hasn't for the Goons. Lennon's end product has often been inconsistent but so has Walcott's, hardly anything between them.

Lennon only worht 7m? come on mate ge real he is worth at least double that with all the stupid prices that are being quoted, plus he aint going no where

Right now i'd take everything falling through except one more striker signing out of; Llorente, Huntelaar or Damaio. Hulk isn't going to happen and, if we're really desperate with nothing on the cards at 10.30pm on Friday then at £10m i'd even take Carroll. We really need another striker and it worries me there's been so little talk about it out of Spurs Lodge.

There has not been much out of Spurs Lodge as Harry has gone! He used to tell everyone who we were after.

I read on a website.com that Steklenburg was offered to us by Roma and we turned him down. Surely this means Lloris is in the bag (who's awesome btw)

I hope this is true, would be two great additions.

I wish we were as close to signing a goal scorer. Getting a little nervous that our age old problem of possession and no goals is going to haunt us.

Dembele is a very creating man who charges through defences to score goals himself so providing we get him i think defoe/ade will be enough, wud love to see Damiao or Llorente come in but cant see it happening
