As i posted before they are interested one defenders but Modric and Bale look set to stay with Adebayor amongst the cards with a premenant move, personally id go for someone else upfront such as Demba Ba. Currently who wouldn't want to play for spurs, they are looking a class outfit

From my sources tottenham are interested in Alex the Chelsea Centre Back but I am not sure if that is true, Tottenham are certainly looking to strengthen their defence

Believable11 Unbelievable9

I like Alex, and think he would be a good signing for Spurs. He is an absolute beast like Kaboul. I would like either him or Samba to sign for Spurs in Jan

Naz

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed, it now seems we may miss out on Cahill, so Alex or Samba would be a good alturnative. If it was my choice, I would go for Samba purely as he seems to have been playing (and scoring) regularly over the last few years. Due to injuries and fall outs with managers, the same cannot be said for Alex which is a shame as he looked impressive when he first joined them.
I wouldnt be surprised if Cheski and Mr Levy have come to an agreemwnt along the lines of we dont bid for Cahil and in return, they give us first refusal for Alex.

Flippit

Agree2 Disagree0

A very interesting article which would make perfect sense if we were looking a things from a hypothetical viewpoint. The fact is Cahill has agreed to come to Tottenham and it is Chelsea who will be needing to look alternatively.

Sadly I am not sure Cahill will be able to make it at Spurs now that Kaboul has stamped his marker in the turf. With Dawson nearing return, King still looking amazing, Gallas never seeming to age and Caulker impressing on loan there could be too much competition for Cahill.

Anyway he is coming in January and with the likely exit of Bassong, and the uncertainties of King and Gallas he could still realise a great potential.

Higuain, damaio or Kaka will be isgning for spurs.

Azza

Believable12 Unbelievable30

No chance pal, wages far too high with kaka and higuain.....still unsure on leandro and i dont think he carries the tag of massive signing

rufus

Agree0 Disagree0

Rufus, given who he's been linked with and the prices being touted, if we got damiao it would be the transfer coup of the year!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the guy who slated Adey,Parker and Friedel off all summer now turning out to be signings of the season!! He said we were signing Damiao all summer which didn't happen!! He's a dreamer

Agree0 Disagree0

You fool, Not once have i slated Ade but i have criticised Parker and Friedel in the past. I was wrong about Parker because i felt the price they wanted was ridiculous for a 31 year old, but he has proved me wrong.

If you read my long lost posts a while back i said from day 1 Scotty Parker (Best friend of Jamie Redknapp) will sign for Tottenham. As for Damaio, i said he will only be available to us in januarY 8 months back.

scared to post your name?

Azza

Agree0 Disagree0

Azza I remember a few people including yourself thinking Damiao would be like a sandro transfer agreed in the summer but transferring in the winter
As for the kaka thing .... Why ? For to pricey
And far to injury prone ..
Higuain ... I think will be far to expensive transfer wise for us .. Unless he's fallen out of favour and is put on the market in which case I'd say bid for him .. {Ed002's Note - Higuain has been offered to Chelsea.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with what you say about Kaka however it will only be a loan deal with Madrid paying half his wages. Higuains available for a permanent or loan deal so its a possibility. we're in the market for a striker and Levy and Harry want a big name to show clubs we really mean business, so we can't rule it out.
Damaio would be a good signing and i dont think we'd be paying a price of 30+m for him, it'll be more along the likes of 18/22m. If nothing happens this january then i'll take the blame for being a prat lol.

Azza

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear Azza

Surely you are not agreeing with the Mighty Oracle regarding Damiao? I say how funny it is to see first The ED hedge his bets with confirmation Cahill might sign, and now you hedging a trio of possible strikers with Damiao in the Sandwich.

It is so funny to watch the fickle switching on this site. I might be a little controversial and ooze a little too much confidence, but my predictions from months ago have remained firm and are nearing completion.

I won't be unkind as you are all Spurs fans, but surely Azza and ED combined is confirmation that I am not as disillusioned as you all state?

The Oracle {Ed001's Note - hedging bets? Give it a rest, no one is hedging anything, Spurs are interested in Cahill, but so are Chelsea.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotta say i think with real and barca both saying they want damaio and the other lad oscar from international spurs arnt really in the race no more, like neymar the young brazilians want la liga moves

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah we believe you ............yawn

Agree0 Disagree0

Azza and Thrush should be sent to the naughty step!

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I have read this sight a lot and Azza you definatley are the king of sh*t top trumps your talk is all gas and air. The oracle makes far better predictions than you. Fed up of reading the crap you put on!, Kaka and Higuain will not happen... heard ronaldo and messi are interested tho along with pele coming out of retirement!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka is supposed to have hit form again so madrid prob wont sell

Agree0 Disagree0

Most people on this site are what I like to call 'critical see the wind change the rudder merchants'

Azza has always had the conviction of writing what he believes will happen. He doesn't claim to be the true in the know source like I do, so give him a break and praise his effort. 10% of those posting are speculators, 85% post nothing other than criticism, and 5% are either very lucky or have some inside knowledge.

The ED is always well educated on current affairs and unlike me he doesn't over play his views. I apologise fir my effervescence but soon you might just believe that I am not the nutty professor!

The massive signing that Harry Redknapp is referring to is Leandro Damiao. As stated so many times both he and Gary Cahill will be here soon.

The Oracle

Believable19 Unbelievable21

Ah the Thrush is back! was wondering when you would make an appearance. It seems the Ed was right you are that thick skinned among other things.... still at least we only have another month or so of this dribble and your off for good! and who said miracles only happen at Christmas eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually it's Tevez

Agree0 Disagree0

OK Oracle, i'll take your word for it (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oracle/Ceefax/Thrush roll om 31st January and we will not have to read your bu!sh!t anymore!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ancient Chinese proverb say " wise me talk because they have somthing to say, fools talk because they have to say somthing!". For clarity Orical you are a fool.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you all for your festive cheer, it is amazing how assured you all are when you have no idea what is going on. Soon you will be looking very silly but I don't expect apologies. As you have insinuated my failure and defamation through Chinese proverbs, I thought that I would respond in the like.

'A wise man is made to look the fool in the company of fools'

Damiao is six letters so can I suggest you refrain from that packet of cigarettes and stop reading The Sun for a couple of weeks so you can afford to have it printed on your 2005 Spurs home shirt.

Kindest regards
The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anyone got any Canestan cream? Thrush i doubt your intellect so you may have to look that one up! As for calling a fellow poster poor even for you is a new low. You really are in the corner waiting for that TKO come 31st Jan .

Agree1 Disagree1

Empty vessels make a lot of noise.

Agree1 Disagree0

2005 home shirt?
Am i missing something or does Damiao come with a time machine?

WTF ???????

Agree2 Disagree1

If you are right, Orafax, some will be on here to congratulate you. If you are wrong I assume you have started working on the excusses. Have this one on me - I only said he had agreed to join Spurs. I meant verbally, but nothing was signed blar blar blar.....

Agree1 Disagree1

And the first one of the Thrush's predictions goes down the pan, can't wait his excuses on this one! He has never ever prdicted anything right!

Agree1 Disagree1

Cahill just signed for chelsea 7 million

Agree1 Disagree1

Fellow spurs fans be grateful for Chelsea signing Cahill , we will never have to read the ramblings of the schoolboy (Oracle/Ceefax/Thrush) again! for that i am grateful!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anytime now he posts any of his rubbish all we need to do is reply with one word: Cahill.

Agree0 Disagree0

So the transfer window is open and Gary Cahill has signed for Chelsea has he ?

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure some have been waiting for my two penithworth so what i have to say may surprise some of you. I am not going to agree or disagree with the oracle just yet. Call it to much christmas spirt if you will (obviously, my christmas spirt comes in a bottle - hiccup). I am saying nothing until he has signed on the dotted line for someone. My reason -well in my twisted mind, all this talk of a price being agreed with Chelski MAY just be a way of getting a better price out of us. Remember, AVB and Owen Coyle are good friends since doing their management licence training togeather 3-4 years ago.

We will all see soon enough then we can mock or congratulate the oracle either way. Until then he is right, nothing has been signed, sealed and delivered yet.

I dont know about you, but i have been looking forward to transfer season even more than Christmas. It so exciting and sure enough, we do sometimes get that rubbish present from Uncle Daniel, but we sometimes get that little gem what we wanted as well. Not to mention it lasts for a whole month not just a day.

Gentlemen, start your engines.....

Flippit

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been watching this site for some time now and i have just one question - Has anyone asked just who the hell is this all knowing Oracle ?

He has the confidence of someone in the know, the wordings of someone well educated, but also seems to suddenly react like a child. Very conflicting.

My missus thinks it is the chairman/owner in disguise?

Agree0 Disagree0

Happy New Year to all of you.

You want to know who I am?
Educated - Westminster Boys School
Arrogant - No just confident
Spurs Fan - Absolutely
Childish - Occasionally
Connected - Definitely

Football is a very funny business and there are always agreements made that can go wrong. Paul Gascoigne was on his way to finalise the paperwork to join Manchester United when he was called by Spurs and literally broke his promise to Alex Ferguson and joined Spurs in a deal that included a house for his dad. So what you need to understand is deals are provisionally agreed behind closed doors, but there is always a small chance things can go wring until a legally binding contract is signed.

So Cahill looks like he is destined for Stamford Bridge, but I can assure you that this is merely a coup to drive the price up.

Leandro Damiao is all set for Spurs and I am sure he will be a fantastic sensation in the Premiership.

Some think I am mad, others called me immature, but rest assured everyone will listen soon.

The Mighty Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

Thrush!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate to point this out but one of Oracles predictions is already in tatters. The Olympic Stadium has been named as venue for the 2017 World Athletics Championships which means there is NO WAY a Toottenham bid will be accepted given that we want to demolish the place! As for his/her transfer predictions, I very much suspect Cahill going to Chavski will expose them for the b*ll*cks they are

Agree0 Disagree0

I have seen it all now Flippit is under the assumption that we have been waiting his thoughts , what are you the Messiah ?you're as bad as the Thrush! someone who has a very high opinion of himself also.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^ You are of course entitled to your opinion and you are free to voice it.

Is there any need to get personal or is it just my turn?

If you have "seen it all now", it must mean that you have been reading and enjoying my posts and banter for sometime (your very welcome by the way). I know that it is very easy to criticise as a keyboard coward. Myself, the oracle, naz & azza to name but afew (but there are others) put our heads on the choping block for you to shoot at. You may not agree with what we have to say but one thing is for sure - you will NOT find us hiding anonymously. Until you are a brave enough to do the same - i am really not bothered in the slightest.

If spiteful, vindictive and unwarented insults make you feel better in your own skin I truely feel sorry for you.

Take care of yourself and keep taking those happy pills.

Flippit.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said Flippit.

BTW happy new year to all you Spurs fans

Naz

Agree1 Disagree0

You see Flippit is right and so is Naz, the only things you armchair insulters add is sarcasm.

Cahill will be the decider that is true, but he will sign for Spurs and then you will start to understand that the press are just as clueless as you are.

On the stadium front the World Olympics in 2017 are indeed a major factor, but when you readily dismiss this as our home I wonder what logic you are using.

I know lets have an athletics stadium and village for the Olypics in 2012 and then leave it vacant for 5 years until the World Athlectics Championships. Perhaps we could run some egg and spoon races in between for local scouts troops to top up the revenues. The only way the Olympic stadium can recover the huge expenditure is through football, so you suggestion of anything else is simply lacking intelligent design. If you look back and read my previous posts I detailed the options of the Spurs takeover which included a retractable seating over the running track as well as other things.

You see there is always a chance the Government allow the tax payer to lose over a billion pounds by allowing low revenue athletics to dominate, there is the option of football and athletic sharing thorugh retractable seating and roofing, and lastly there is football only option and redevelopment of Crystal Palace or a reverse of the decision to useother alternative arenas and stadiums.

In my view the athletics only option is the least viable and we live in a financial world driven by profit and cost. So ignoring the fact I am telling you we will move there, I suspect that even you can work out that the most viable options includes a football club. If this is true then I cannot see your logical conclusion of readily dismissing this as Spurs home.

Thank you for your effort though as you seemingly really tried your best.

Happy New Year
The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear Oracle.

Your previous posts regarding the Olympic stadium are indeed well measured, rational, insightful and even logical. Only someone completely blind, stupid or biased would say otherwise.

I know that the area surrounding our ground is not the prittiest. Yes I know that the ground is difficult to get to and away from, but we all know this and its part of the match day (Andy Jacobs on talkSPORT walked an hour and 15 minutes on boxing day in the rain to watch Chelski because of the tube strike and Hammersmith flyover closure, but did he complain - nope). The financial rewards of moving are exactly as you say they are and we all know what the council expect us to do which isnt our responsibility.

(cue the music)
But we do have a responsibility. A responsibility to generations of past, present and future Spurs fans not to let our beloved TOTTENHAM Hotspur, a name surnounomus (spelling ? - but you know what i mean) world wide with quality football, become the new MK "Wimbel" Dons.

I know you do not hold the same view and as stated eariler, your views are rational but I am sorry, I cannot agree with you. I just could not bear us leaving our spritual home of Tottenham when there is a site right next door which is still an option. Even if it is only a 1% chance, its still a chance that I cling too.

I sorry that we do not see eye to eye on this one, but this is my opinion. It doesnt make your (or my) opinion a wrong opinon.

As posted on more than one occassion, I really do hope that you are right on your player arrivial predictions, but wrong on this one and in the words of Mr Meatloaf - 2 out of 3 aint bad.....!

Have a good one fella.

Flippit.
