Athletico madrid in for damiao, if they get him that is just a mockery on us

Levy needs to hurry up and make his move

Believable14 Unbelievable11

They will have Falcao money so price will be inflated. So much for hanging out for a cheaper price for so long over and over, genuinely decent players will prove to be just that and get more expensive.

They can offer him champions league football aswell. This guy always linked with us nothing comes of it, be the same again here. Athletico will bid we won't then be to late. Same old story. why spurs don't do early transfer is beyoud me.

Rumours rumours, if he's going anywhere I reckon we will get 1st refusal but just depends if levy messes around or talks get complicated again

Agree2 Disagree2

Plus I would of thought that atletico would be more interested in torres

Agree1 Disagree2

Atletico Madrid may well get 50 million from the sale of Falcao, but they're 400 million in debt. They're in a position of selling, not buying.

Agree3 Disagree2

He is pump anyway! If he is so great then why has no other team really gone for him?

Muller

Agree5 Disagree1

Should go for Jackson Martinez that bloke is sick bruv!

Agree1 Disagree5

I may not be down with the kids but what did those last 2 posters say? Lol

Agree3 Disagree1

Athletico were in debt last season when they bought Falcao for €40m. Didn't stop them then, won't stop them now. They believe the best way to get out of debt, is similar to the Arsenal way of developing talent and selling it on for profit, whilst still maintaining a good position in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say Athletico would sign him at an inflated price but, regardless of their overall financial position, a selling club will be asking them for top-whack knowing they've sold a player at £50m = price likely to be inflated for other interested parties.

with watford not getting promoted, how about a cheeky bid for vydra. got to be worth 7 mill. just a suggestion

sean

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Isnt he on loan from udinese?

RY

Agree4 Disagree0

He is on loan at watford

Agree4 Disagree0

Just because he is on a season loan to watford, doesn't mean udinese can't selllhim in the summer. plus udinese and watford owned by the same people.

sean

Agree1 Disagree3

Watford turned down a £12.5 million bid in January so £7 million is going to happen. Source, the Watford owners I'm a Watford fan and I spoke to them at the players evening

Agree1 Disagree5

Watford can't turn anything down, he is on loan.

Break down of the Real Madrid bid for Bale, as taken from the Spanish press.

I have no idea whether or not the bid has been/will be accepted/rejected - this is just the detail of the reported bid of 75 million Euros which is roughly £65 million.

Real want to pay 50 million Euros for Bale, the lump sum paid over 4 years. This is typical of continental transfers (and most Premiership transfers until recently). The rest of the 25 million is payable depending on clauses, Real winning trophies etc etc

No mention of player exchange {Ed001's Note - don't the FFP rules limit the amount of time to pay off a transfer to 3 years? I can't remember off the top of my head, just wondering if anyone else knows, or whether I will need to look it up again when I get the chance later?}

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Rubbish again

Agree1 Disagree2

Ed - you are right but it applies to Premiership internal deals only. FFP doesn't affect Euro clubs

Why allow any team pay in instalments. if they want the player they can stump up the money. If they can't do that they can't afford him.

Agree11 Disagree2

You are very much mistaken about damaio being seen in north london.

He is in east london, oracle is showing him around the Olympic stadium!

Agree10 Disagree3

It's true, damaio is in North london.
He was last seen, buying chips, in elvis's fish and chip shop.

Agree7 Disagree1

Ffp doesn't affect euro clubs? What?

Jimbo

Agree3 Disagree2

Would of love to seen oracles face when I posted 'oracle seen in north London" what a picture that would of been lol

Re: above comment.

Pretty much every transfer for years has been paid in installments. It how deals are arranged.

A good example was Villa paying Sunderland £26 million for bent. Sunderland fans would have you believe they pocketed the lot but the fact is that £19 million was paid to Spurs because Sunderland hadn't finished paying for him.

Dont know why fans are so obsessed about this.

When you hear the phrase "up front" in transfer terms it means the main transfer sum being paid over a series of months or years

Agree1 Disagree3

Spurs fans will believe anything I can't believe people agreed my made up post about Damiao lol

Agree6 Disagree4

'spurs fans will believe anything'

Now read the posts after your made up comment fella, not one post has taken any real notice or believed your post.
I don't think 'spurs fans will believe anything'
I think, you 'want to read what you want to read' and 'you really need to get a girlfriend'

Agree6 Disagree2

I said people hit 'agree' on my made up post looks like you read what you want to hear fella lol

Agree2 Disagree0

It wasn't "people" hitting the agree, it was you refreshing the page and boosting your own post quite sad actually.
