Being reported elsewhere, just passing on -

Vertonghen WILL be a Spurs player come July 1st?
Sig WILL be a Spurs player come July 1st?
Loic Remy WILL be a spurs player come July 10th (delays in agreeing terms)?
Modric WILL be sold to Real Madrid (£30m + Sahin) by July 9th?
AVB WILL be Spurs manager on July 1st?
we WILL be signing with our MAJOR sponsor/investor for naming rights on July 15th?
Stadium work WILL be commencing July 27th after the signing of the final contracts.?
2 x more MAJOR signings WILL be made before July 18th

Absolutely NO insider information from me, like I said, I'm just passing on it on. It is interesting none the less and may go some way to explain why things have seemed so quiet on the transfer front with all this going on behind the scenes and unfortunate family issues to deal with, our Daniel has clearly been a rather busy boy. Excluding AVB, I hope it is all correct.

Believable8 Unbelievable12

As posted 17 days ago - AVB will arrive along with Vertonghen next week. You are also right that Modders will be aloud to leave to RM for lower fee than Chelsea offered last year (i reported 34m) but the reported fee of 30m plus player is a little wide of the mark - but will happen. two things in your post are not correct - we will not sign Remy and the Stadium plans will not commence - these will be delayed until next year. AVB will be a hit at Spurs as there aren't any ego's.......Zac

Agree3 Disagree2

I honestly think there is a lot of truth in them points made , it's been unusual with the manager process signings basically agreed yet stalling dig/vert I think there must be a major shake up soon? With bale signing on for years (ok contracts mean f all these days) but has he been made aware of young fast exciting times ahead ?
On the manager front AVB will be amazing for us COYS

Agree2 Disagree1

Nice to see you copy straight off 'Harry Hotspur'

Spursr Lad

Agree1 Disagree1

According to skysports news Ajax manger Frank De Boer expects vertonghen to join spurs within the next week

Agree0 Disagree0

According to SSN sahin wont leave madrid. shame. moutinho will do instead.

Agree3 Disagree1

Spursr Lad -

Try reading the first line of the post again my friend.
I dont remember claiming that it is was mine. I saw it one 3 different sites as above, WORD FOR WORD of each other. So was mearly passing it on to others who may not be aware of Harry Hotspur et el.

I am ever so sorry if my posting it too wasted 30 seconds of your life. Please feel free to invoice me for your precious time. Jesus, I wont bother next time.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes you wasted my time. Harry hotspur produces false information. Just like they said a week ago tha AVB will be announced on Tuesday. This should of been posted on the dodgy rumours!

Spurs Lad

Agree1 Disagree0

I wasted your time so badly that you found even more of it to reply again!

Invoice me twice please!!

Haha.

Ricardo Carvalho to Spurs?

Believable1 Unbelievable11

I believe Levy wants him as a part of the deal for Modders.

Agree2 Disagree5

Brilliant, cos we are short of ageing defenders at the moment

Agree12 Disagree1

Bloody hell we might aswell see if gary mabbut wants to come out of retirment

Hi guys, Ed's. Does anyone know if the vertonghen deal if properly off because SSN think there has been a major break up in talks due to the transfer fee percentage payed to vertonghen.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Stop worrying. The deal is done. Patience!

Why is nobody commenting that we only have Defoe as a recognised frontman on our books. After that only youngsters ie Kane

Believable4 Unbelievable2

GDS

Spurs Lad

Agree1 Disagree1

Need to get Vertonghen come on Ajax cough up or he'll be moving on a free next season surely 15% of 10 million better than 100% of nothing

Agree3 Disagree1

What do you want people to say... ? you have already said what we all know, just gotta wait and see whos coming in.

Agree2 Disagree0

Because we will obviously be signing replacements!

Agree1 Disagree0

Jan Ventorgan has already confirmed that he is no longer joining spurs.

Agree2 Disagree9

Coubailly is better then defoe, expect im to be first team next season.

Agree5 Disagree3

I have it sussed. We don't need any strikers! Spain played with no strikers so can we.

Sorted.

Now to buy some more midfielders!

The Rabbit
Coming to you since 2012

Agree5 Disagree4

Bring in ade and a class striker..keep defoe and kane in th team...kane was good on loan at millwall and he only 18..plus keep van der varrt and buy gilfy

Agree2 Disagree2

The most sensible post Flippit has ever written! Well done that man , you may not be The Thrushes sidekick after all!

Agree1 Disagree0

Where has vertonghen said he isn't joining spurs

Agree1 Disagree0

He hasnt.the quote was taken out of context.

Does any one have any news on Adeybayor......Is he staying or going, its all gone very silent. We really should try and get him on a permanant

Believable7 Unbelievable4

He is going to liverpool

Agree5 Disagree12

Then you are clearly a liverpool dreamer !

Agree6 Disagree3

No-one wants to sign him because of his £170,000 a week wages

Agree7 Disagree0

Unless you get him as a free transfer you cant afford his wages ,rumoured to be on 150k-170k a week because the moment you agree to pay those type of wages everyone will want a pay rise in line with ade ..so the question is will citeh let him go on a free .
he his contracted until 2014?

Agree3 Disagree0

Adebayor not the answer surely last season proved this he had most assists but he was there to score the goals we already have midfielders

Agree3 Disagree2

17 goals, 3 other perfectly fine goals ruled offside (very bad decisions, the one at Stoke was disgusting). Most assists I'll take your word for and add that he always works hard and with that work-rate means we can play as a lone striker so we can field VDV fairly free. Will we really sign much better? I'd like to think so but not so sure.

Agree2 Disagree1

The fact is those 3 disgusting off side desicions cost is champions Leuage ..... If the refs had their s**t sorted we wouldn't have not gained 6-7 points

Agree0 Disagree0

If we do buy sigurdson were would we play him? Realistically he isnt goin to get you more goals than van der Vaart and he isnt better than modric. Seems like a waste to leave him on the bench

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Very true , but u think realistically modric is gone , and vdv I would say is probably going to go , a new midfield of sandro/Parker/sigurdson/sahin/Lennon and bale looks a bit tasty hard working and plenty of goals :0)

Agree5 Disagree4

News on Adeybayor ?? Anyone got anything to report ?

Agree0 Disagree1

You forgot Huddlestone to that list of midfielders

Agree2 Disagree1

If AVB is the new manager one can see him lining up 4-3-3. With something like Sig, Sahin and Sandro in the middle. Bale, Lennon and a CF up front. Not a bad lineup.

Agree1 Disagree1

He is 22..... Give him more time. He is already good. Lets see him play with spurs with better players then swansea....

Agree2 Disagree2

Sig, Sahin and Sandro? whats your problem, wheres Scotty parker you joker.

Agree2 Disagree5

Achilles injury will keep him out for first few months ...and what does Parker add ? Maybe for certain away games yes ...but I don't think he is an every game starter. Very busy, many rash challenges that he gets away with, loses the ball to often, doesn't score enough or have enough passing ability. I love his commitment ..but in a fast flowing team I think he will get passed over ..just my opinion. The Joker.

Agree4 Disagree4

Scott parker frees up other players to attack and makes important tackles and interceptions every game, modric could do want he wanted alongside scotty he is still a starter but it wont be long before sandro is no 1 at that position as he is quicker round the field and equally as destructive and a far better passer he has hopefully been learning alot positionally from scotty

Agree4 Disagree1

Sigurdsson will be a Liverpool player by early next week. Rodgers met with him again yesterday, offered him an improved contract which although it wasnt as lucrative as Tottenham's, he has accepted it because he prefers Liverpool and wants to work with Rodgers. He did have his head turned by Spurs due to the money but I think he and his agent just used their offer to get more off us. Trust me.

Ed Do you know if any clubs have been interested in Oscar of Internacional, looks like a quality midfielder? {Ed002's Note - Internacional's Oscar has the attention of Barcelona and Inter Milan. Perhaps a little too early for a move this summer. His ownership was in a real tangle with Internacional and Sao Paulo fighting a legal battle over Oscar. Someone suggested that ownership had been resolved but Bertolucci made it clear there were on going issues. In either case a move is most unlikely.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks he looks like he's going to be talk of next season

Bale has just signed a contract extension until 2016. Didn't hear many ITK claimants advising of this to calm our nerves recently!?
Good news, hopefully it will help attract the right manager and players and, kick up the a$$ any chance of Modric settling, if he definitely won't then ship him for big money asap, not on deadline day.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Modric will priced out of a move ..
which means you may not get 100% from him..

Agree1 Disagree4

The News of gareth bale signing a new four yea deal has made me think that levy must have something big in store for spurs..bale woudnt of stayed if there wasnt something to stay for coz he could get mega bucks some where else...sign avb, gylfi and vertonghen within the next wekk and something greats going to happern next season

Agree4 Disagree1

Vertonghen deal has stalled over monies owed to him should he leave ..ajax are saying that he will staying with them source ssn

Agree2 Disagree4

If we are to get Sigurdsson and Vertonghen and Modric is going to go with Sahin and plenty of cash coming the other way, then there is reason to be optimistic. If Daws and Thud come back fully fit it's like two new signings and we definitely missed Tom in many home games last year where his passing and more so his shooting from range would've been really handy. Modric and Parker give hardly anything in the goals department (well two thunderbolts a season from Luka is all we get). Like a few others, I'm hopeful that Gio could be used more by a new manager and might be spurred on (no pun intended) to play like he does for Mexico, he scores loads of goals and even against top nations. Last pieces required are fairly critical though: a manager and two top strikers!

Agree1 Disagree1

Perhaps Bale realises he is at a club with potential, fans who adore him and room for him to improve as a player. Not everyone has to be a mercenary

Agree2 Disagree0

Vertonghen will leave this summer. He is out of contract next season. ajax aren't going to lose the full transfer fee just to save 15% when he leaves on a Bosman next year. This is brinkmanship.

Charlie to Lokomotiv Moscow on a 3 year deal. Announounced by them I might add!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Who's Charlie?

Agree1 Disagree1

Vedran Corluka, Slaven Bilics first signing as Lokomotiv boss

Agree0 Disagree0

'' Who's Charlie '' ..................... DOH!

Agree4 Disagree0

Any ideas on the fee?

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anybody found anything about what kind of price we got for him ? I can't see any papers with a price ? Eds any word ? {Ed001's Note - transfermarkt.co.uk, who are usually very reliable, say it is a figure of 6.16m.}

Agree1 Disagree0

After he signed pav called him 'spurs best defender'!

Agree0 Disagree0

£6m Stirling being reported on BBC, so that backs up what Ed001 was able to find.

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie wasnt two bad but he only had two speeds.which where slow or stop lol...was a decent defender and might of been gd at centre back but wid big jan probs coming in and with caulker, kaboul, gallas, dawson and maybe still leders in the squad he was better 2 move on.....

Agree2 Disagree0

Good fee in the current climate, very good footballer but for me his full nickname will always be Charlie Slow and boy was he. With even average pace he could be a top top player.

Frank de boer has said today in a press conference that the vertonghen deal is very close and he expects it to go through this week.....that's as good as done in my eyes. Maybe the delay in officially revealing players/managers is going to be tied in with the kit launch? I can't see anyone holding last seasons shirt in their first photos......

Rufus

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I hadn't thought of that. Thats a very good point and very much Daniel Levys style. But aren't the shirts not being released for over two weeks?

According to Caughtoffside we are considering a 20m bid to bring Darren Bent back?

I sincerely hope not. I thought the aim was to go forwards not backwards.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Proven goalscorer but nowhere near 20m

Agree6 Disagree1

According to caughtoffside !! well it must be true then . I wouldnt listen to a word that site says !

Much love

Agree5 Disagree0

Lol most caught offside player

Agree2 Disagree0

If we sign Darren Bent, again (which I don't believe that we will) we may as well sign Sandra instead!

The Rabbit

Agree6 Disagree0

Hey guys,

I am an Arsenal fan but this is speaking as a football fan. How would signing Darren Bent be a step backwards?

This is a guy who is a proven goalscorer in the premier league, yes he may not be the most exciting player, but he does what he is paid to do, scores goals. Surely anyone who does that is a great asset to any team?!

Agree4 Disagree5

We've been there and done it,and it werent that great first time around.
sure hes a goal scorer, but not good enough for a top 4 team.
my mums got a better left foot than bent.thinking about it,so has my border collie.

Agree3 Disagree1

To the Arsenal fan, yes he is a proven goalscorer and I was excited first time he signed for us but he couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yards (proof being when he missed the goal arry's wife could've scored) playing for us. It would be a massive risk taking him back but you do make a very valid point just can't see any spurs fan happy with that signing.

Agree1 Disagree1

Massive backward step for Bent, you lot make me laugh, goals per games he was as good as you had up front. so he missed chances who dont, you just didnt play to he's strenghs when he played for Charlton he was magic, and we had crap players nothing like your squard, proves a good player when he can score loads in the Prem for a very basic side.Once you lose Modric, Bale, Van the man you will not finish nowhere near the top four. I agree not the best player but better than what you have Defoe etc.

Agree1 Disagree3

Simple response to ehe gunner. Tell WQenger to buy Bent.

Agree2 Disagree0

To the Arsenal fan above - your buying most strikers so why dont you get him! Just a thought.
Rosco

Agree3 Disagree0

Is this the same Darren Bent that scored 20 plus goals each season at Tottenham? If so sign him up!

Agree0 Disagree1

We wont sign bent and shoudnt either..And why do ARSENAL FANS come on our page and comment?i would never go on other teams pages coz theres no point..i dnt get y u would want 2 unlees ur worried about ur own club

Agree5 Disagree0

He should never have been sold Harry got it wrong and Sandra was so over-rated

Agree1 Disagree0

Ofcourse we need a proven goal scorer but with our tatics 4-4-1-1 we also need that striker to be a more complete player than darren bent like adebayor was last year i.e holding the ball up and chasing what he can bent wont do either

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent is the archetypal mid-table striker. He struggles in the limelight and when under pressure, which is why he will never be a sucess at a top 4 challenging club

Agree0 Disagree0

To the Arsenal Fan, As RVP is off why dont you bring in Darren Bent? looool. doesnt look so good now does it? RVP or Sandra

Agree2 Disagree1

We dont need bent the modern day striker has to do more than score thats why players like defoe (much better than bent) and bent can not play upfront alone for a top team there type of striker will only start occassional games or come of bench when losing games a striker who plays with vdv type player behind must be more powerfull and hold the ball up better than these players mattyido

Agree1 Disagree0

Look at goals per game and Bent knocks spots off Defoe. Believe it or not Goals wins games not fancy play.If you had kept Bent and played him properly he would have scored loads. Now Harry's gone go get Sandra you talk about her so much, just remember, Charlton loads of goals,Spurs quite a few and Sunderland loads, now Villa the man like him or not the man scores goals.

Berbatov close to making a
Shock return to spurs, reliable Source!

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Hope not. Wouldnt mind it though.

Agree0 Disagree0

GREEEAAATT why dnt be get bobbie k darren bent pav back too. then its simple we go 4 martin jol and loose on the final day to the hammers for cl spot.Y do we sell and bring em back when their days are numbered.WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AT OUR CULB. Chelsea,Ars,UTD are all nearly ready for the start of pre season were still managerless.Trying to buy players with no man in charge (nightmare season waiting to happen)
mr g

Agree4 Disagree2

I dont think this is true at all.we need young strikers hence the reason we let go of saha coz it would of been easy 2 keep him.and berbatov hasnt got the balls to swallow his pride and come back to the club who made him who he is today

Agree3 Disagree0

Would take Berba back no problem. He is a goal getter were ever he goes.Has not played much so should be good for a couple of seasons still. At 5-10ml has to be a bargain. If we could get him and one other striker would be gr8.

Agree2 Disagree1

Past two seasons for Man U, about 44 league appearances with 27 goals. Overall record for them is about a goal every other game ish. Still a great player, would get bags of chances playing for us and would be an asset. Yes we'd need another top striker but this guy would still be quality for us and if it was going to be for £8million or less then would be worth it i think.

Agree6 Disagree0

I cannot bear to think of that sulky m@@@@t from Bulgaria poncing around the Lane in his wolly gloves. He could nt get up to Manc land fast enough. He has had his day. No way we want him back

Damiao not interested in Spurs

"I'm glad for the interest and for the enquiries, but the only official offer was made by Tottenham,” he told SportTV.

"If there are other offers, we'll talk, but for now I'm not worried."

{Ed002's Note - An offer from PSG was also rejected - it may have been a verbal offer of course.}
