We have bid for Pato!

Believable11 Unbelievable14

No you haven't. You cant lodge a bid until 1st of Jan.

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Bids can be made at anytime, but it is correct that Spurs has not bid for PAto.}

Agree2 Disagree7

Pato is currently in talks with Corinthians, the brazilian club is trying to sign him buying half of his rights(as they have done with Renato Augusto) or even for loan.
FelipĆ£o, the new brazilian team's coach, seems to prefer selecting players that plays in the country.

Think it may have something to do with vdv's wife doing her tv thing! Vdv & sneijder ate good friends as are the wives!

Agree0 Disagree3

Oh right yea. I remember the vdv wife thing and the fact they always seemed correct.
Cheers mate

Been reading some news about Sneijder.
He don't get on with RVP so not going to Man U.
City/Chelsea won't pay the wages as they are trying to trip the wages and sign younger player.
Russia (Anzki) I think would ruin his career.
Arsenal won't pay the wages and don't fit the structure.
Real Madrid maybe but spain have a high tax rate so less attractive as before.
Barcelona doesn't fit their style of play.
I think it leaves either Germany or England.

If England then Spurs and I think he would want to try his luck in England.

What would be our main priority well In my opinion it would have to be a striker Adebayor is a pile of sh**e Defoe is doing well but age is t on his side so surely we should sign a decent. Striker in January but who??
In my opinion I think we should go for either
Stephen el shaarawy who has currently got 14 in 18 also I believe he is 20 years of age which is youth and fireing on all cylinders also there is room for him to develop
Or
Edison cavani everyone should know about this chap big strong and knows where the back of the net is the only problem could be the fee we'd have to pay but however we would be getting the complete package
Ed any of these likely ? {Ed008's Note - Simple answer No and No.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Have to agree with the ed here

Agree11 Disagree1

We cannot afford Cavani, I think somebody like Llorente would be a better target if possible

Do Spurs employ someone to leak rubbishe to the papers on purpose to get all our Hopes up!

Wesley Sneijder January target now!

I hope this is true and will spend the January window praying but will amazed if this happens.

I know AVB says he won't be buying but we do need at least one big signing to push on, looking at the bench against Stoke it looked very weak no real match turners, it does seem the club (Joe Lewis & Levy) really want to lower the cost's (wages etc) before the new stadium is built but if we loose touch then we will struggle to break top four and attract players.

Anyway lets hope and pray we buy, keep the faith come on you Spurs {Ed002's Note - The Spurs story comes from a journalist speculating that a sale, not a loan, to Spurs may be possible - but I have no confirmation that it is true at this time. If a move for Moutinho cannot be put together by Spurs - most probably due to financial constraints - an approach to Sneijder does make sense. PSG and Fenerbhace remain two most likely destinations for Sneijder at this time although Schalke 04 have been packaging up an ambitious bid and Bayern Munich has been, I understand, discussing the player in-house. Anzhi and Spartak Moscow retain an interest in him but chances of a move to Russia seem to be near zero. I don't know of any remaining interest from Manchester United. There is a very slim chance that he could make a surprise move somewhere else and discussions have been held with a club on a different continent, but I would supect that is something for the future.}

heard sneijder had lost his touch n really deteriorated in d past couple if years.. don't really follow Italian football.. so what do u say ed?

Agree3 Disagree3

If we sign this guy i will be dissapointed. it will be all hype....like when Morientes signed for Liverpool.
Possible Summer move for Callejon January Eriksen ?
I doubt Sneijder would be a Levy Transfer, no sell on value.
So all those saying getting my hopes up on Sneijder signing.....please don't. Eriksen and Callejon in the Summer. these are more plausible and realistic signings....however unlike the oracle im not going to say they are going to happen, im more inclined to say they won't. I)m just hoping we can set our sights higher than a player who seems to have lost his touch.
