What's the deal with coentrao now ed {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid want him included in the deal for Bale but Spurs are less keen. He remains for sale.}

Eds, can you update us on the possible transfers of Lamela and Hulk? {Ed002's Note - No change with Lamela but I will check about Hulk.}

I've seen loads of rumours this morning about Hulk to spurs. The best of which is the telegraph as previous poster has said. In my opinion if this is true why isn't they go for him before Willian in the first place?
Front 3 of
Lamela Soldado Hulk. Lol
Oh my god surely that front line would get us the title or at least challenge?

I think there's a small rumour going around about hulk. Early stages yet, but probably cause we are about to get over 80 million for bale. If so, could mean we are having trouble signing Lamela or we got plan a b c lol

I also just spotted we were linked with him last summer transfer window and nothing materialised in the end as he went somewhere else

Telegraph are reporting that we are in for hulk, any truth in this ed? Or is it the same old names just flying around again.
Thfcmatt {Ed002's Note - Nobody has said anything to me. But I will check.}

Hulk no chance, over rated and wage demands would be to high just paper talk be luck if we sign any big name this window

So
Soldado is a big name, I would say Paulinho was a fairly big name too. Everyone is panicking about signings and yes we do need a creative player in but we are still at the bedding in stage. 6 new players started yesterday (I include rose and Townsend) who were loaned out last year and we are three wins from three, scored 7 goals, 4 of which from our big name signing! But most impressive of all is the fact we have three clean sheets from three.

You played laughable opposition and you're not exactly free scoring in the premier league. Two goals from two penalties, one of which was debatable to say the least.
You can clearly see that Bale is missed in the Premier League, you don't seem to know what to do when he's not there.

Or maybe we have players in our team who need to bed in and will be happy with scrappy wins for a month or so (as long as we winning) also not finished in the transfer market with some creative players rumoured to be arriving to unlock defences. Saying that, if it makes you feel better then think what you will. Spurs WILL be top 4 end of this season!

Laughable opponents? Any away game in the Premier League can be tricky, especially on the first day for newly promoted teams away when you have 4-6 new players yourselves. We fielded 6 new or returning players yesterday compared to last season, Swansea come to play football and were decent enough but overall Spurs were in control. They need to gel a bit more and build some confidence going forward. Villa at home and Cardiff away weren't laughable for certain top teams were they.
