Paulinho is going to Spurs as he told the tv I can't reject spurs

Believable17 Unbelievable7

He apparently told a newspaper this.
These are requotes from this paper.
I'm still waiting until after the confed cup to see him holding our shirt.

Agree7 Disagree2

It may be on a newspaper and I wouldn't usually trust that, but its also on tv. So I'm 50/50 on wether or not to believe it, who place would he take in your opinion? Or a change of formation?

Agree3 Disagree2

The tv channel were quoting from the paper.
I'm trying not to get too sucked in to it as it is still not a certain signing.

Agree5 Disagree2

He also said that spurs are a big club in England, just shows you can't believe everything you hear

The last poster hit the nail straight on! Absolutely brilliant!

Agree8 Disagree8

Love it that all these Spurs haters come to our site. Clearly they are more interested in our team than there own. Jump ship girls joint the revolution.

The people are coming. And you know it.

Let the haters hate, its a clear sign of jealousy, all that negative emotion. whilst we will love our beloved. person Army!!

Agree4 Disagree1

Well to the two posters above can't be spurs fans as next year we will be in the CL every year from there onwards? if you are true fans then show faith or go post on the gooners page as they love all that negativity. this will be our year for a blinder
beaspur

Agree2 Disagree2

He knows more about football than the last two posters combined. So I'll take Paul's opinion on this one.

Agree0 Disagree2

Carrick and Berbatov? That was in 2008 mate - 5 years ago.

Oh that's right I forgot that gooners live in the past.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ooh, look at all the gooners wriggle!
Now, that is a fact. Quality.
The truth must hurt.

Agree1 Disagree1

Carrick and berbatov let's be honest and say. good business selling them as we got good money for them. carrick not good enough for us and done little at MU same as berbatov good one minute and bad the next so happy days around 50m for both of them so money well spent by MU thanks. ow forgot RVP now MU spent well there left the gooners because of. well he knew the score didn't he HENCE why he left! on the upside you have a french man up front who's out of this world ( NOT )

Agree1 Disagree0

Eds do you think spurs are a bigger club than arsenal and Liverpool? {Ed008's Note - Overall Liverpool are the better club with their succesful history at this moment of time it hurts me to say this but Arsenal are like 1 step ahead of Spurs because the stats say they've finished in front of them for what 10+years now? Just trying to give a fair opinion...

Agree1 Disagree0

10+ years more like 19 years {Ed008's Note - Well that's what 10+ years means over 10...

Agree2 Disagree0

To the spurs fan who posted all the so called "FACTS". You have no clue about football, avb cannot be mentioned in the same breath as wenger and that is a FACT. Ask anyone in football they will say the same. You deserve to finish above us because you play better football? How old are you? Yes tottenham played some great football last season and at times were great to watch, but so did arsenal. The table doesn't lie lads FACT! 1 point or 10 points it doesn't matter. We have the rub of the green? That is exactly the sort of thing that a deluded bitter spurs fan would say, honestly your an embarassment to spurs saying stuff like that. For one, I know for a FACT that arsenal are not "worried" about what spurs will do whatsoever, we are going to push on and on and on now, loads of revenue, talented squad (could be better but that's what the money is for) one of the best managers in the game and the best stadium in england. Keep up spurs.

Agree2 Disagree0

The best manager in the game? Is that the same guy who 80% of Arsenal fans where saying needed to go last season? Anyway, I actually agree with you (as much as it pains me to do so) you are the better side as you finished higher in the table, it really is that simple. Some of our fans make themselves look stupid with some comments they make. We are a team chasing Arsenal but we have progressed and are a team to be taken seriously but let's not get ahead of ourselves, we haven't won enough yet (since start of Epl). We got Liverpool fans on here spouting off about how great they are and we're laughing at them so you can't really blame Arsenal fans for laughing at us. On a happier note I do believe we are capable of changing that this season so let's keep the noise down until we've done that.

From SS:

Paulinho: "It's a great pleasure to be linked to such a great club like Tottenham. They have a reputation as one of the great clubs in England who play exciting, attacking football which suits my style.

"I couldn't turn them down if they made me an offer. It would be a fantastic opportunity to play for Tottenham. "

This lad really wants to join us! Hope it goes through.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Just be Carefull. These quotes were taken from a newspaper.
Wait until you see him saying it in tv.

Agree6 Disagree0

Ss are quoting The #ndependent paper with a Sam Wallace but it was the Mail who ran with it first but with no source mentioned, just quotes.

Agree5 Disagree1

Was reported through David Kent dailymailonline. All other sources are quoting this report. For me its unreliable there is nothing in the South American press to back any of the quotes as you would expect from a high profile player.

Looks Like Bale is set for talks with Levy this week.

Is he looking to hand in a transfer request. ?

Believable11 Unbelievable19

Or he could just be saying that he stays go another year.
It's just all speculation, funny how you only quoted the negative side of a possible meeting.
Get behind your team ffs.

Agree16 Disagree7

I think you will find that Madrid sign Isco be ause they CAN'T get bale.
I also think avb wouldn't of stayed without the promise of bale staying and his choice of players coming in x

Agree11 Disagree6

Him coming in and saying he'll stay for a year? Great. Does anyone honestly think his value will go up? It won't. Give it a year and he'll make it clear he wants to go, and as soon as the happens his value drops dramatically. In all seriousness, nobody would actually be willing to pay 80mill for him, and give it a year, even if he has a good season, I honestly think 100% the fee will be less than 50mil. Mark my words.

Agree10 Disagree14

But when did we need to start worrying about what he is worth in a years time. Surely you love seeing him play for us, with all those dramatic twists and amazing goals. Even on the last day of the season he still put a smile on my face with that goal and just added to the many reasons why I love the club so much. So why worry about us not getting as much for him if he leaves in a seasons time. If he goes now and we don't get CL football we are just stepping backwards, even if we have quite a large extra chunk of change. Don't get me wrong, we need to be smart with our money but there has to come a point when the love for the game outways how much money we get for him. There are just some players that money doesn't replace

Agree12 Disagree2

Why are you all worried about what Bale might be worth in the future?! Do any of you even have any optimism that Bale go on to be a Spurs legend and get us into the Champions League consistently?

Agree6 Disagree3

Bale won't stay unless we're winning titles. He's not le tissier, Ledley king or tony Adams. He may have affection for our club, but it isn't in his heart like the previous I've mentioned. He'll want to move on one way or the other. We just need to make the most of him while he's here. Personally I'd rather see him see out the remainder of his contract than sell him for profit. What he could give us in these coming years, if we start consistently getting CL is worth more than any transfer fee. Just my opinion.

Josh

Agree6 Disagree4

So £80million now or £40million maybe next season?
Bale stays, better players come. We have a better chance of CL qualification.
£40 million next year will do fine thanks.
We need as much chance as possible next season. Our rivals will strengthen. We need to have a strong squad.

Bale is not meeting levy this week. D/L will be in New York till at least the end of next week. Marca a spainish newspaper printed a non story about bale wanting to meeting to hand in a transfer request. This is total rubbish. He would not personally hand in a request. it would be done through his agent. Then a meeting would be arranged but very unlikely would it be with D/L Don't believe any of the rumours especially when they don't state any sources other than "our sources say"

Agree1 Disagree2

Says in metro ( Train Paper} bale wants will tug on levy's heart strings to get his move to RM, take the 80 mill and get a striker and not go down modric route again.

Agree1 Disagree2

What I can't understand is why he just can't come out and say if he wants to stay or go. put us all out of our misery.

Agree2 Disagree0

Whoever posted about Bale taking the nice route. the course of this info is the Marca. NEVER trust them lol. You'll learn.

Agree1 Disagree0

Here is what will happen.
Bale will ask for huge wages in his new deal and a buy out clause of £ 35 million if spurs fail to reach CL next summer which they will ofcourse do.
If levy don't like those demands he will be sold to the highest bidder. £ 40 - 50 million tops! Including wages and other costs. Think you should get off fantasy island!

Agree4 Disagree4

Obviously a deluded gooner! Although I am not a levy fan, at least he has the balls to decide who leaves and when! Unlike the arse down the road, where they can't get out quick enough!
