Ok my turn. Kieran plzzz.... Seriously y is it that davo and I can see the light... We have had 4 good years with players we can be proud off. 2 years ago for the first time we got in to the cl. You need to be in the cl to attract quality player.we all got excited when we signed vdv the we sold for Dempsey. What the ****..I could go on all night. That was a small example. We all get the hump when our team looses.. Yet when we win I for win come on here and express my
Joy. Ask the eds. are most of you lot out the happy to see us mid table and just dream of winning things and seeing world beaters at the lane.. I dnt want to dream I want the reality. Nor do I want to see the team up the road an wish it was us. My joy is not to see Chelsea getting knocked out the cl or rvp leaving arsenal. My hart and soul is THFC.. This is a site for ppl to air there views nothing else. The frustration that I and davo share is we are 20-30 million away from being rite up there.. It's taken years to get where we are and can throw it all away in 1-2 year can't you all see that. Lets see you all if one day we sell bale or get into a relegation battle.. Football is about success to fans not money....

Spot on Mr G.We want 1st and not in 5 years time.

To me this 5 year plan that managers or chairmans come out with is total bull shyt.. Its a way of buying time with the fans.... But fans tend to buy it and swallow it. What happens when every year 1 or 2 players leave hay. We was promise something similar when Harry came... Now another5 year thing that's 10 year floating in the prem..... Time for levy to really show us and give us the paying fans a return and give Avb a sexy transfer kitty and Avb to produce... Ths season 4th and 3rd for the next 3 years I'd be happy

i agree we are begging to b top dogs, but modric vdv left for cl football, no we dident replace them, ide rather build yes again, than b a chelsea or a rubbishy, money money money, they rape the game, sack the manager when things go bad, spend another 200 hundred mill, sack the manager and start again. i have supported thfc for 51 years and sad to say dont expect to have much glory, we all dream of wembley cl and league titles, but sad to say in my life time when players dont give a rubbish, only the supporters get peaved every satuarday when the results go against us, trouble is we stay loyal players go for a bigger wage packet, and our club is run as a business not a football team sad facts but true im afraid

Well put MrG.

I would hardly call the opinions you and Davo hold as "seeing the light". You let your frustration cloud your judgement and fail to look at our situation objectively or realistically. In the process you point the finger at anyone who makes even a slight mistake or error in judgement. I would hardly call this supporting.

Last season we had Modric and VDV, we had a squad that knew eachother well and we weren't plagued with injury problems. We were unlucky not to get Champions League football, and if there was anyone to blame then it would be Redknapp (who had an easy job last season, but still managed to screw it up by pandering to the England job). There is nothing we could have done about Modric or VDV leaving, so stop blaming everyone who actually stayed and committed to the club - just accept it and move on.

Like you said, we need CL football to attract quality players, so Levy has done well with the signings we have made given the circumstances. We signed Dembele, Vertonghen, Lloris, Adebayor, Sigurdsson and Dempsey - all of who were absolutely top quality last season. Of course, every signing is a risk when you're not attracting players who want CL football, especially when your club is in a period of transition, and the move to Tottenham has so far not brought the best out of Sigurdsson or Dempsey. Injury problems have prevented Adebayor from getting enough game time, along with a period of good form from Defoe. Vertonghen, Dembele (now injured) and Lloris have however been quality additions to our squad.

We now have a totally restructured squad, several key players injured and a new system to adapt to. You're a fool to think we would already be hitting the heights of last season, and I for one am impressed with some of the football we have played this season given the circumstances. Most of the pieces are in place, and AVB seems to have identified the areas of the squad that need improvement.

Once we have moved out of this run of bad luck, transition, injury problems and poor form - THEN you have the right to complain if things do not go our way. Until then, please keep your negative opinions to yourself and get behind the team you claim to support.

Adam you blowing hot air mate... Fine modric we had no choice... Vdv WE pushed him out the door because the brains and money men at the lane thought moutinio was in the bag without realising a 3rd party owned part of him and wanted -3-4 million which levy didn't want to pay. Then at the last minute levy excepted but was to late and had Dempsey rushed in. Just this season I've been moaning because we are going backward from last season.AVB is not up to it at all, face facts.Roman is pure class.. Like it or not football is money we are not in the 70-80s where players get 2k a week.... The money players an managers are on are life changing... I a supporter am not going to be fooled,if someOne walked in and bought us like city or Chelsea you will be the 1st to run up and down whl naked. Times have changed.i want success now... Not 5 yrs time

Ed tell them as you have read all my comments... For the last 4 years I've never complained nor asked for Harry out. Why? Because I saw improvement each year. So we didn't qualify for cl last year..I would have put my house on it that if Harry was here and levy spent properly in the summer we would be in the cl next season.. My defence for Harry is that he did something special 4 all of us no one has,so I respect and thank him. Your supporting a guy who has done nothing to warrant it..
We speak at the end of the season when you all want Avb out or even sooner..ed take note plz

Well that's shut them up.Well said Mr G.

Mr g, it's all very well saying all that from the perspective of hindsight, but it doesn't provide a fair assessment. I will not repeat myself as you have, just read what I have already said for the rebuttals to your comments.

I reject your claim that I would enjoy the success if my club was run like Chelsea or Man City. You can only speak for yourself. I do not think Roman is class at all. Speaking for myself, if Chelsea was my team then the trophies they've gained over the past 10 years would be cheapened by the manner in which they've been won - to the point where my interest in football would be non-existant by now. For me, football is about football not money.

Mr g, why do you think my original post criticising the negativity you spout to be an endorsement of my contentment with mid-table mediocrity and the occasional jaunt to Wembley? I want success as much as you do. The difference between us is that I believe we are on the right road to obtaining that success. I'm not going to repeat myself like you seem to. I'm in total agreement with Adam's responses above and fail to see where 'it's all going wrong'. My original post questioned the negativity which I feel is unjustified. Let's judge at the end of the season, so far I've seen enough to be encouraged that we are still moving in the right direction. My point regarding negativity is a simple one - you are not supporting the club whilst you air those views.

Ok mate you feel we are on the right track That is your opinion, Id not have to agree, nor do you with my comments. But look and read everybody's comments. We are going backwards at best we are stable.I do not see us going forward sorry. IF and i say IF we dnt buy players and bring players like Carroll from the ranks, then yes i would understand the logic and wait 10 years for success but we are not doing that mate. We are selling our stars and replacing with over rated expensive players.. VDV for Dempsey (example)

Eds are spurs in for Eriksen in jan? thats the noise around Ajax atm {Ed001's Note - Spurs have been nosing around him for a couple of years, at least, now, I very much doubt Ajax will be persuaded to part with him in January though. Well, not for a reasonable amount of money anyway.}
