Heard that we are going to appeal to UEFA about not being allowed to play in the Champions league, Anayone else heard this or is it just a few wishfull thinkers? Ed?

I think we should show some class and accept that we fell short. 5 English teams in the Champs League would be too many in my opinion.

Appeal on what grounds that u was not gd enough over the 2nd half the season .that was hr/dl thought for not adding to the squad when u had the chance .

Not heard that but we knew the rules at the start, it's just typical that it happens to us first. Brush ourselves down and come back stronger and even more determend!

PUT UP.... Mr Levy time to put up the cash for us to start challenging or put my beloved club up 4 sale. The latter 4 me. He will never bring us glory as he wants super stars for free and over the odds for our average players.He is here to line his own pockets and that is a fact.Times have changed and if we dnt change with them we will fall into a mid table club where we have been for 10s of years. Things need to be done and done now

Levy spent £8 million last year and we finished 4th. Arsenal spent 50 million and finished 1 point ahead of us. Levy is doing well in my opinion.

I think you'll find that Arsenal sold players for £70.7M and bought for £53.15M so a net spend of -£17.55M....
Agree3

Would explain why gooners are on the slide all the good players leaving and being replaced by average ones.. HAPY DAYZ!!
Agree2

They still spent big, regardless of where the money came from same as Liverpool, they still spent a lot and achieved little!

haha what a bitter fan
yeah but still finished above tottenham easily, would have been more comfertable had arsenal not dilly dallied there last 4 or 5 games, it comes down to, Tottenham had a fantastic start to there season but an awful finish, arsenal had a horrendus start a fantastic midseason and an ok run in, but there still a class above tottenham always will be, bigger club, bigger stadium, better players, cant say anything about arsenal untill you ACTUALLY finish above them!

Again i ask where is the money brought in from cl two seasons ago.

Arteta being out showed your squad has many the same issues as ours ... And if RVP moves on or gets injured you will have the same issues we have up front who will score your goals ?

Ok. This sucks. Big time. But who knows, it might not be the end. Now I am of the opinion that modric is gone. Preferably, to Madrid who I see are linked. If they offer 25m plus a similar player like Sahin (who hasn't played much this season so his value wil have decreased) then I think we should take it, it's not worth a summer of speculation if they make that offer early enough. Bale I think will stay. Now, after lasagne-gate, I imagine there would have been a fair few people who thought that this was the end, especially after we lost carrick.
After we lost carrick, people may have thought that was it. Then again, in 2008, we lost keane and berba and had 2 pts from 8. I'd imagine people thought it was the end too. At the start of this season, when we finished 5th before, and modric had his head turned, and we were drubbed by the mancs, people thought it was the end. But what I'm saying was, it wasn't. We recovered better than anyone could have expected us too. People were tipping pool for a title push this season! You never know what could happen. We could sign a hidden gem, like Vdv on the cheap, or ba or Cisse for Newcastle. Someone like Tom Carroll could step up, Di Mateo could be found out next season (I maintain hes not a very good manager), and Chelsea fall short and open up another top 4 place (I mean we surely couldnt be screwed like this twice two seasons in a row, Im assuming 4th will be enough again). So what if we lose modric and bale? Let's face it, regardless of what we all think they are worth, it's ultimately down to what price levy gets for them, and we all know it's gonna be 60m plus, and we can invest that. There are good players out there who are not in Europe at all. Vert has said he doesn't care about Europa, he wants to be here. Remy just finished mid table, he's not in Europa. Suarez was in cl when he went to liverpool. So yes, wallow in the misery. Its cathartic and surprisingly good fun. But it's not the end, and it never will be. COYS

I like how you're upbeat, I also hope you're right about the player still coming in.
I agree modders will go, i think we should try too get erickson (spelling) from ajax to replace him, or if you want a closer to home solution Joe Allen has been brilliant every time I've seen him for Swansea (which is well over 10). One of the most underrated PL player imo.
It's not the end, especially if the goons have to sell RVP.
Next season we put this Sh*t right, no 100 not offsides on ade, no riots, no harry for england, no court case, just the almighty spurs ripping up the PL. COYMFS!

Totally agree about joe allen, i think he would be an ideal replacement.....i wouldnt even wait for modric to put a tranfer request in, id just sell him now, we want players who want to play for tottenham not those who sit out games because "their head isn't right"..... I dont want another summer like last.

Steed,
stop worrying about Arsenal and worry about Spurs, why on earth would Erickson want Europa with Sours when he can have champs league with Ajax. and even if Arsenal sell Van P they will still finish above you lot its just what happens best team in 30 years could not get the job done so why would it be any different next year
Agree1
Disagree1
This guts of the guy who calls out my view and doesn't even leave a name.... Why would Erickson want to play for spurs....because we play dutch style attacking football and are one of the top teams in the EPL, a pull which is significant to players in other leagues. The best players want to play in England, Spain, Italy etc. and this is often overlooked, look at Ruiz playing for a successful dutch team and pushes a move to Fulham, why? They are in the best league in the world.

Ed any truth to the Huntelaar or Girould rumors and is the vertongeen deal done yet (sorry for spelling)
Steed {Ed002's Note - I understand Huntelaar is open to hearing any offers made to Schalke, but they certainly do not want to sell as it is going well for him in Gelsenkirchen. It was expected that Giroud would stay within France with a move to PSG but performances this season have seen Lyon, Marseille, Valencia, Newcastle, Villarreal, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and particularly Malaga show an interest. At one point Nicollin discussed the interest in the player saying Newcastle were too minor a club and Arsenal would have to pay 50M euros, if not 60M euros for the player. The reality is that he will move for perhaps 20M euros or so in the summer as it will be tough for Montpellier to persuade him to stay. Interest at the moment is still being shown by Arsenal and probably Liverpool - Bayern Munich have made an approach to Montpellier about Giroud who has let it be known that he has spoken with Ribery about a move to Bayern Munich. The player has also declared an interest in a move to Italy, Germany and now England. I don't see Marseille being able to pay enough, nor even Lyon.
AC Milan have not completed any deal for Vertonghen.}

Man united and man city will go head to head for modric....city wiiling to offer player+cash deal and huntelaar could be on his way for 18mil.also have to keep an eye on a deal for remy...also owen,adam johnson.moses and could be spurs bound

Don't think Levy will sell within PL unless the package (money and player(s)) is way more than he can get from PSG, Spain or Italy.

So has Jan defo backed away from us?

Ok so no cl its now time for levy to show hes true colours, we havent got the crowds the filth and utd have, we havent got a multi mega millionaire who can throw good money after bad, but i thought a manager was about tactics bringing players on and winning matches, if hr not up to that then get some one in who can do said job, bale and modric were not world stars when coming to the lane so just maybe if we had a good scouting system we just might unearth a few jewels, as i cant see levy paying top dollar, we need strength character and a williongness to play for the shirt the club and the fans, dnt see top brass coming in, but we all know we need 2 good forwards a new cb, and tinkering in other areas, if hr and levy not up to job, as gthrowing away a ten point lead would suggest then for the sake of thfc go and be a tv pundit as you seem to spend more time on the box than at the lane. we may always be also rams, buts its about time this ram turned into a lion

Hi Eds, any honest opinions about the future of the club (mainly this window and next season) after the injustice of last night?
IMO i think Levy will come through anyway but we will loose one of our top players. {Ed007's Note - What injustice of last night? Tottenham were aware that if Chelsea won they wouldn't qualify for the CL.}
Believable1
Unbelievable3
Just meant that Chelsea didn't deserve to win that game, i don't car about spirit and determination, their on the ball football was terrible and were playing for penalties all night {Ed007's Note - Oh it was a horrible match to watch. Sorry I picked you up wrong.}
Agree3

@ Ed, injustice in the sense that Liverpool were given a wild card in a similar situation a while back................... a place for the winner of the CL should not affect domestic qualification regardless of who wins, in what league in whichever country!! {Ed003's Note - The rules were changed after that "wild card" and every club in each league knows them,it is just unfortunate for the club that misses out}
