Daniel Levy has told real madrid that he will only sell Luka Modric for a cut price fee of £23.5m..if they will loan higuain to tottenham for 18 months and pay 75% of his wages!..the manager situation at tottenham looks likely to be addressed as early as next tuesday, the board and the owner see laurent blanc as the ideal replacement for harry redknapp.

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Levy would get strung up for selling Modders for almost half of what Chelsea offered doesn't matter what loan deals were on offer and looks like Blanc coming just waiting for France Euro exit as AVB surely would have been installed by now to oversee comings and goings unless of course he has the same agent as Damiao!!

I'd rather sell Mod for 30 to Madrid than sell him to a prem team for 40!

Agree9 Disagree5

Chelsea offered £27 mill for modric so £23mill & higuian looks a great deal

Agree4 Disagree8

Chelsea offered 40m which got rejected. I'd take 10m plus Fabio Coentrao and then use the Money to sign Dembele as a replacement for Luka.

Saint.

Agree5 Disagree6

10 million and coentrao? thats a horrific deal.

Agree5 Disagree0

10 million and Coentrao!?!?! You mad, bro? We need a left back but only 10 million!? GTFO

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop saying Chelsea offered 40mill as they clearly didnt. Spurs would of released a statement saying they had rejected it for PR reasons alone. They offered 22mill we confirmed it was rejected and they never made a new bid

Agree1 Disagree3

See what the lad is saying he cost real reported 30m buy I'd not take that deal
Although he is class

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabio Coentrao is quality. I think Madrid payed 28 million for him last year and he hasn't really cemented his place in the first team. Maybe 10m is a little less but hes defo worth signing. 17m plus Contrao and i'll be very happy.

Saint.

Agree0 Disagree1

Coentrao is very inconsistent, and we don't even need a left back imo! Even if you're one of the people who don't like benny, you've got to accept that if modric goes, then striker, cm, and cb are all more important places to sign players than a left back! If coentrao was part of the deal (although personally I doubt there will be any player swap, they rarely actually happen) then it would be him plus at least 25m

The guardian reporting that AVB will be offered the managers job by the end oftheweek with guarantees that Modric will not be sold to another premiership team. I'm guessing that means real Madrid will probably get him but at £40m I'd take that?

Believable13 Unbelievable6

I posted two weeks ago that that HR would get the push and that AVB would be the new THFC manager. That Modders will leave for a fee in the region of early thirties - both will happen.
Vertonghen will sign also once the new man is appointed. We will begin our search for a new creative midfielder and two strikers. Defoe will stay, Bale will stay - other than dead wood Bentley, Gomes, Bassong no other big players will leave. Gio may stay and be given the chance he has never been given at Spurs.
Expect two big signings a midfielder and a decent striker before the opener in August. Stadium will be delayed until next year but talks are ongoing with a consortium who will buy out Joe Lewis but leave |Levy in charge of the company. Believe me, but watch this space and see it come true. Zac

Agree9 Disagree7

I hope not. We've got where we are because of the man management skills of HR. If AVB really has none then we'll be back where we were under Ramos. We need someone with the tactical know how of AVB and the man management skills of HR. Personnally I would've liked Rodgers but we missed a trick there. I'd be happy with Moyes or Benitez.

Agree2 Disagree9

Moyes would be useless, he has done a great job with no money at everton - but would be a fish out of water with us. AVB is the man, we will be playing great attacking football and if he is given 3 or 4 years, he will develop us into a regular CL side. Zac

Agree6 Disagree5

As supporters of the club we need to support whoever is brought in, lets not judge them before they are appointed, yes AVB had a poor time at Chelsea but the team was run by the senior players and they put far too much pressure on managers, miracles do not happen, you cannot turn a team around overnight, lets give AVB a chance, get behind him and give him the support he needs

Agree6 Disagree1

I hope it doesn't take 3-4 years we have been challenging for a champions league spot for the last 3 years and but for a bit of a slump and some bad luck we would have qualified for the second time this year. i agree avb looks a good shout for manager but i think he is a risk i just hope he brings the form his porto than showed and not the cheatski form.

Agree4 Disagree2

He has everything to prove and will deliver - if we had been offered him 12 months ago from Porto, with Levy buying him out of his contract - you would have all been smiling. HE IS THE FUTURE!!!! Zac

Agree2 Disagree1

Lol the worst manager going to the worst team total dreamers

ktbffh

Agree4 Disagree3

Hey.... You are late for school, what has your mum told you about that ktbffh
Idiot

Agree3 Disagree2

I really hope, you lose Modric,
Bale, the Van. you lot went from bottom of the league to almost there under Harry and you don't know what you had.AVB is boring and give it till Christmas you will be moaning more than ever,Love to see you in the championship, Levy is a plank, just you wait and see.

Agree2 Disagree1

Apparantly not as large a piece of wood as you are

Just read that former England boss Capello is leading the race to become our new head coach.. any thougts?

Spurs fan from Norway : ) COYS!

Believable1 Unbelievable12

Levy not stupid he knows the fans split on Harry sacking so wouldn't appoint Capello who's about as popular as smallpox

ou812

Agree8 Disagree1

One of the reasons that we got rid of Redknapp was due to his age, why would we bring someone in who is a Year older!!

I think the club needs a young manager to build on from what we already have.

Agree6 Disagree5

Maybe because he wins titles?

Agree6 Disagree4

He would also bring a circus along with him(the press!!!)

some bookies have suspended betting on sessegnon moving to spurs have u heard anything about this transfer ed {Ed001's Note - haven't heard anything about him connected with Spurs, I know PSG are keeping tabs because his family still live in France.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

That is because he is on his way to us :)

Agree6 Disagree0

He left PSG for Sunderland, if they were willing to sell him I don't know why they want him back

Agree5 Disagree1

How many players have returned to spurs after being transfered

Agree1 Disagree0

Ugh ed1! We MISS you do much it's unbearable. The idiots who constantly give out abuse on the Liverpool page are gone. No more mobile posts thanks to them. Please come back now.

Tottenham have had a bid for Sessegnon accepted.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

I think he is a very good player.

Agree5 Disagree1

Source???

Agree0 Disagree2

New manager is working fast.

Agree2 Disagree1

I can't see why, we hardly need another AM and VDV is a far better player. Sessegnon can be a really good player but is far too inconsistent
I just don't see us being interested

Ed, how real are the reports we have sold bale to barca? {Ed001's Note - not real at all, as far as I am aware anyway.}

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Bale is in negotiations over a new deal.

Andre Villas Boas has agreed to the personal terms following a protracted contractual discussion. As a Spurs fan I will remain optimistic and supportive, but sincerely hope he lives up to his old Porto reputation. I have to be honest that I am a little worried about AVB, but hope that Ambramovich made a monumental error.

The potential for signings from the Portuguese league are clearly bolstered, and perhaps Levy is more convinced that certain acquisitions will now become available. One thing Porto have in abundance are quality strikers. Their attacking line includes Hulk, Varelo, Martinez, Kleber, Rodriguez, Djalma, Irtube and the giant Marc Janko. with Varelo breaking into the Spainish first XI, I would very much welcome him or the overly hyped Hulk.

One thing is certain Moutinho and Hulk could transform Spurs who already have Vertonghen and Damiao llined up. Perhaps Levy has a master plan in motion, one that will look like the Great Train Robbery if it plays out by the script.

Remain positive and support our new manager AVB. Let's not let the Russian oil tycoons pour water on our spark. With positive support and encouragement, that spark just may become the roaring blaze of success we all dream about.

The Oracle

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Been waiting to hear from the oracle you have seemed pretty quiet recently lol.
I think your right and also think AVB is a gamble but could well be a good one as he likes good attacking football with a 433 system bale and lennon pushed up.
Definately don't think hulk will come but Moutinho could be an interesting replacement for Modric and I think Sandro would feature more under AVB which would be good.
I will remain positive.
Are you still adamant Oracle that we will still be signing Damiao?
COYS

Marc

Agree8 Disagree0

I think Moutinho would be a great signing and a feasible one, if Modric leaves or when he leaves, Moutinho will probably only take up half that money we get for him.

Welcome back Oracle!!!

Agree2 Disagree2

The Oracle
A good post indeed. I do like the names you have listed, but I did hear a report that AVB put the pressure on DL about keeping Modders and I am not sure how DL liked that? Another thing I have been told is that Sahin from Real Madrid could be the player they use as a bargaining tool for a £30M move for modders. I looked him up on Youtube, and he looks a like a superb player.
One thing I must question is the Damiao deal. Is this really going to happen as he has already rejected one offer from us already?
Rosco

Agree3 Disagree4

Yo great oracle, Varela, plays for portugal, he scored the winner in the game ronaldo could not.

But when did he break into the spanish team?

hes a sub for porto btw...anyway typical B.S...keep posting.

Btw Neo said to ask you where you kept his chosen newspaper - the daily fail.

Agree1 Disagree3

No it's not varela it's Borja Valero he's talking about who plays for villarreal.

He's not a bad player but you can't call one cap in 2011 breaking into the Spain team. Added to the fact that he was part of a team that got relegated from La Liga I think the jury is out on him personally.

Anyway good luck to spurs for next season. I find Spurs fans far more bearable than your north London rivals. I'm hoping for you guys and us (liverpool) replacing arsenal and the chavs in the CL next year.

Thrush if you are wrong ,will you leave this forum for good ? you promised this last time yet you still appear on here spouting your usual BS.You have yet to predict anything correctly and i am certain this will continue.

Agree0 Disagree2

Thrush looking at News Now it looks like you are just reporting what is openly avaliable on the internet. If you claim this as your inside info you will look a bigger fool than you already are!

Agree1 Disagree2

Thrush poster, just get over it! You need to get out more!!

The Rabbit

Agree0 Disagree2

Thrush - Damaio, Moutinho and Hulk are not signing for us you are a fool!

Agree2 Disagree3

Rabbit - get out more ? your another fool who types a lot of BS i can see why you feel the need to stick up for the Thrush .I am sure you will be very happy togethe... ahh

Agree2 Disagree0

Can't fault any prospective new manager expressing a desire to keep Modric, but I believe the time has come for us to take the best deal we can get outside of the PL. If that is $20-30m plus Sahin I call it decent business by Levy.

Agree3 Disagree0

It would take 30m Euros to take Moutinho, and Chelsea are also interested. Hulk is ours!

Tottenham will complete the signing of belgian defender Jan Vertonghen by the end of this week for a fee in the region of £11.5m.Spurs also hope to tie up a deal for blackburn starlet Junior Hoilett and Villareal and ex man utd striker Guiseppe Rossi. any deal to sign Loic Remy now looks to be on hold until a new manager is in place.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Vertonghen and Hoilett would be very good additions don't rate Remy at all and still unsure about Rossi while Damiao looks the business but it's dragged on so long don't think he wants to come Huntelaar looking like best we could get

Agree2 Disagree1

Has Hoilett not signed for a German team?

Agree5 Disagree4

Oh come on. Rossi won't even be jogging until October.

Agree5 Disagree1

Don't see us spending money on Rossi until he proves he is still capable of performing at the top level after serious injuries.
