It is absolutely ridiculous people are giving AVB. He has managed us for only three league games with a totally different corporate set up and dramatically transformed squad, how can you expect us to win every game!? It's ludicrous to see these comments saying AVB out. It was only 5 or 6 years ago when managers were given TIME to form their own teams, time being a few months. Yes, if we are languishing in 13th at christmas by all means kick him out. But the fact is we have had a rough start and been unfortunate to concede two late goals at home. Any person can look at our squad and see that the results will come and we will once again challenge for top 4. Don't forget that compared to Utd, City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, we are far inferior financially and as a result it is a marvelous thing that we can expect to challenge for CL.

So I implore you spurs fans, please have a little faith in our new, very able manager before you start calling for his head. It is shameful how fickle some fans can be after such a short period.

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Not being funny but twice we have been in front and each time he has tried to hold onto a 1 goal advantage and made a bad substitute...wouldn't mind normally but with 15-25 mins left he is an person. However I unlike some WILL give him till xmas before making a decision. HR had no plan B but he attacked from whistle to whistle.....

Agree9 Disagree1

You've been AVB'd. Keep up the good work Andre.

Agree8 Disagree1

Very poor post defending AVB. The man is totally out of his depth in English football. We have seen from just 3 games he has not learn't from either. Late goals, and in particular so negative in 2 home games against average teams. Why sit back on 1 nil when we have never been good at defending and invite pressure. Surely a top team at home should be look to beat these poor teams and go on to put the game to bed. Players looking like 11 headless chickens totally uncomfortable with poor formation and he can obviously not motivate them to perform. Players looking like they have lost all confidence and not half the player they were before. Get rid soon as we are in big trouble

Agree8 Disagree4

US season ticket holders are not worried by results (just yet) BUT by the way AVB is setting up the team and formation at HOME against Norwich and West Brom 2no.holding midfielders from the start and then Takes a striker off when we are 1-0 up two weeks running! why not big Ady why no Dembele who will run at players and go by players why are we passing across the back four and not moving up the pitch at HOME, we all Know Harry had no plan B and only played all out Attack but our Home record in four Years was very good and we finished 7,4,5 and 4 AVB WILL NOT finish above top 6 HOW IS THIS A STEP UP FROM HARRY - how much time do we give AVB then when you are paying 700-900 for a season ticket to watch the ball go across the back four for most of the game Norwich did create the best chances AT HOME

Agree3 Disagree2

Ed - Posted a reply to the above post's there was no swearing or slagging off of anyone why was my post not posted {Ed007's Note - Well considering you don't leave a name I have no idea. Just because there was no swearing or slagging in it doesn't mean it automatically gets posted. Did you ever think that your post was just rubbish?}

Agree1 Disagree1

As I said earlier twice we were ahead by 1 goal and then went to defend that lead so to the post after mine, I am worried as I paid £1327 for my ticket...

Agree3 Disagree1

Love how you changed my I?diot to person there Ed lol

AVB will be fired & will cost us millions in compensation. Then probably promote Freund or Sherwood to take charge. Levy wasting us loyal fans time and money. The board useless in hiring and firing managers. Booing already, which I fear will become abuse towards AVB with a few more bad performances which will surely happen based on first 3 games. Change him quick before we are in a relegation battle

Agree3 Disagree1

Was on a plane during today's game, thank god. Look at our bench, it sums us up. Parker and Kaboul are injured but hardly a chance or goal fest served up by them. Dempsey to come as well and....that's it.
West Brom could've beaten us last week, sounds like Norwich could of too. The match report did not sound like we were crying out for a goalkeeper though. I think we're foolish to be rose-tinted about some ominous signs but it's too late now.

Simmo

Agree2 Disagree1

Wish you could agree with the eds comment!

Agree1 Disagree1

As a massive spurs fan Norwich always looked like they would score, the fact that Freidel was man of the match(will LLoris be in goal when cleared??)make us harder to beat? We should with opposition we have had 7 points reallisticly! I dont believe AVB got who he wanted in trans window but we should still be better than this surely??

Due to the failings of their chinese team both anelka and drogba are now free agents. Shame I can't ever see them play for avb again. Might interest liverpool

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Levy should of tied up moutinho instead of messing around or llorente or any other big name so cant blame avb totally. out of signings made so far what were the ones moutinho actually wanted! maybe spurs need time to gel together. dembele does look gd

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Sep 2012 17:56:52
I hear that Drogba is now a free agent after leaving the chinese lot, do you think that there is any chance that we may go for him as a stiking option?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Again Levy has let us down again. Failed to deliver the manager we need. Now fails to bring in an adequate replacement for Luka. Will be begging Harry back to save us from relegation - could be 2 points from 8 games again. Can see nothing positive AVB has done in 3 games and against very average opponents. Looks a depressing struggle to survive this season.

Agree5 Disagree0

All because he is cheap.

Well, Porto kick off at half 8 , I see loads bout moutinho still not confirmed as not coming. Tonight's Porto game will tell us all once and for all.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Confirmed by AVB, moutinho terms were agreed a little bit late. So, by the looks of it, it was just down to his wages.
If I'm honest, it seems as tho the player wasn't bothered about coming anyway.
If he starts for porto tonight, then his head obviously wasn't turned.
I would say it would be nailed on he will ign in jan but that will be dependent on AVB being in charge still.
My opinion is, I think if AVB, at some stage this season, is made to leave, then I think we will need a whole overhaul starting right at the top.

Agree3 Disagree1

Hate to say but on the spurs website it says we have not. Also I think it is unbelievable that anyone would give the eds on here abuse, the site was loaded las night and they did a great job. This us a rumor site so people put up rumors not confirmed facts. Also everyone (me included) thought the deal would be done (i still don't understand what happened) so they were just reporting what every one said (i.e. ssn) and when ssn said the deal had hit a hitch nobody really believed it ( ie larow on BBC said that the seal would go through)

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree with the post above, unbelievable that anyone can abuse the Eds. I believe that 3rd parties were at fault (Kia what ever the hell his name is, ex Tevez agent) is at fault 15% interest apparently...

Deal Off Moutinho playing tonight....

Agree2 Disagree1

And he has scored. You couldn't make it up.

He didn't.

{Ed008's Note - I don't understand some of you lot sending in abusive messages regarding transfers like myself and other Ed's negotiate these deals ? I called Lloris a day before he signed but still then i wasn't unsure eventually he signed. Some of us Ed's know some people who are close to the club who can give info if we're lucky especially Ed001 and Ed002. I myself sometimes don't like giving info cos i know how you lot can be so rude incase they don't sign or they don't sign on the day etc etc. I've had so many messages regarding Moutinho and even Damiao signing saying it's my fault are you serious ? In future all messages will be deleted and you will be blocked!

Believable12 Unbelievable0

Fair enough ed, there's no need for abuse. Keep up the good work

Jimbo

Agree5 Disagree0

The true Spurs fans know that what info you give is subject to change Ed's. We are grateful and as you said Ed you only gave what you thought was happening so please ignore the persons out there.. Appreciate all the work the Ed'd have done over this and all the hectic transfer windows..

Cheers foxspur

Agree5 Disagree0

You should block people if they are that thick cause I wouldn't be having that.

Just to say for me I really appreciate how you were on all day updating posts etc yesterday and would like to say you did an amazing job.

So thanks from me.

One question I have is has there been any news from the so called Oracle as I'd like to hear an answer from him regarding his predictions.

Thanks Eds

Marc {Ed008's Note - He hasn't spoken yet...

That's it u muppets blame the eds for not signing the cheques..... Levy out.. Harry haters and levy lovers remember what u wished 4

Eds keep it up ... And ignore the prats in fact banning them is better because with less of them it makes the rest of te supporters look good in general : D
Bear yid

Agree2 Disagree0

We love ya Ed's! (well, you know what I mean...)

Why anyone who want to abuse you guys for all the hard work that you do is beyond me. If hey are thick enough to think its your fault for the preceived failings of our club please DON'T ban the poor thick prats, but name and shame them. You know who the regulars are and you know that he vast majority on here are level headed sensible people who appreciate your efforts and will stand by you because of them (regardless of your club loyalties) as without you guys, there wouldn't be it's site in the first place.

Big up to ALL the Ed's. HIP HIP HORAY !

Just like to stand by people's comments and congratulate the ed's on a job very well done yesterday despite the madness. Very informative and a lot better and reliable information than SSN.

Thanks again eds.

According to Agent_itk there is a big announcement later! He gets alot right but im still undecided on him, and thanks ed008, ed0041.

Maybe i am being harsh but it just doesnt make sense why we didnt get someone in in midfield if Moutinho was a no goer, we had all summer. Joe Lewis is to blame, what does he do for us someone tell me please? Moutinho could of turned us into real contenders.

spurs guvnor {Ed008's Note - Their should have been a back up plan their was enquiry for Cabaye recently but other alternatives should have been looked at.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Joe`s to blame for what, we are building a very good squad and we will be top 4,Glenvo.

Agree5 Disagree4

I read somewhere that the stadium was gonna be announced after the transfer window closed.
May not be that tho. Just thought I read it somewhere.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agent_itk big announcement was that he was a fraud and set up the account for fun.

Guess he had homework to do as school starts on Monday so couldn't troll people anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

Agent_ITK's 'big announcement' was that he is a FAKE!! {Ed007's Note - Look lads, without trying to blow sunshine up our own ar$es as an Ed, forget about anyone 'ITK' on Twitter, it is just sad people looking for attention during transfer windows. I actually stay off it during the window because of the amount of rubbish on it, it is ok for a bit of banter but horrible for finding anything out. Whether you believe us or not is your decision but don't buy into the Twitter rubbish or Sly trying to get you gambling with the 'sources understands' BS.}

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2012 10:40:31
Cheers Ed008, great job yesterday i found this page to be a better source of info than SSN and BBC!
All in all i think the window was good with some top class editions. Sad to see VDV go but he does have weaknesses and i believe Sig/Dempsy will do a better job.

My main worry is the thinness of the squad, what with Europa i think we will drop off at some point.

Ed what are your opinions on this window as a whole?

Cheers T {Ed008's Note -It's been a good summer of signings getting rid of dead wood it's the Moutinho signing that worries me has it hapened or not? If Levy didn't sign Moutinho surely should have got another CM instead.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ed, agreed it was quite a good window for once and tho I agree that the squad is a bit thin. My Wallet is Bulging lol.

foxspur

Agree1 Disagree1

This is what is really bugging me. if we knew it was gonna fall through why not bid on m'villa or willian. Edd is there still a chance that he may still be a spurs player. it is also quiet on him no one saying anything. what is the deal on transfers after the deadline.

AMD

Agree0 Disagree0

How cam you say that ed 008? we have brought a keeper to go with the other 4 already there!! did not replace modric did not replace kane have not spent again!! how we gonna catch up now, kids? can you really see avb bringing in young talent? i dont think so no after last year. what a shame we were so close to havin a great squad. now it looks to thin hopr hudds and dawson prove avb wrong! {Ed008's Note - Lloris is better than the current 3 GKS the only mistake was not reacting quick enough to replace Modric the squad is better but slightly smaller. I understand what you mean.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha well done foxspur enjoy the extra cash, well done mate!

Marc

Agree1 Disagree0

From now on I'm listening to the eds on who's coming in so I can place bets a lot better than any other itk anywhere .... From a quick calculation seems to be 5/7 correct
Not a bad return : ) .....

This window has been very productive I'm happy apart from cm and striker the squad I don't think needs any strengthening elsewhere

Sometgings not right. Theres still very little info on the moutinho deal. Just read an article on ssn posted at 9:30 saying we are reported to have an extension to finish the deal. Any info from itk? Maybe Ed?

Jimbo {Ed008's Note - I have no idea how the deal hasn't been completed it should have been plenty of time listen to post-match or pre match interview from avb

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know there's a lot of news with all the transfers but I would have thought spurs missing out on moutinho with seconds to go would be a pretty big story. Maybe I hold the player too highly?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Sep 2012 12:11:39
There's still a chance we could get llorente because the lad has been receiving death threats from Bilbao fans which could cause him to terminate his contract hence leaving spurs wide open to sign the big man also has been reporting we could get him for free

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Don't be daft, he's way too good to play for the likes of spurs, back to being a mid-table team is what you should expect.

Moutinho definetly not happening on tottenham website

Believable1 Unbelievable0

"This has been a busy transfer window and I cannot praise highly enough the efforts the Club made to sign Joao Moutinho. I have said all along that this was never an easy transfer and as such we never had enormous expectations of getting this deal across the line." does it reallt say that we didnt get him? I know I´m dreaming but still wish for a little suprise during the game today:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you see this i may be a little blind but can't find it on there can you add link pls

Agree0 Disagree0

Were abouts on the website is it i have not seen it

Agree0 Disagree0

Levy should start working now to get it sorted out with Moutinho and get a pre contract(or whatever it is called) signed for January. He is superb value at 22 million. Probably a better player overall then Moderic. Yes we made some great signings but he would have been the icing. We were very lucky to get Dempsey. To be a great team I figure we need Moutinho, a class striker and a lsft back (Benny cant defend and has poor positional sense).

The Don

Agree4 Disagree0

Ed, do you think moutinho could join in january or do you think the likes of him llorente and damaio just dont fit into our wage structure? {Ed008's Note - Possibly AVB wants the player never say never.

Agree1 Disagree0

To those asking where the article is, it's under the "Summer Transfer Window Wrap"

As for those suggesting DL left it too late, keep in mind that it was only Thursday/yesterday that we'd all heard Porto had significantly reduced their asking price. We were never going to pay the 30M.

Now Kane has gone to Norwich I expect Michael Owen to be a spurs player. We have just 3 forwards! What if one gets injured? Silly business by spurs. I'm not ITK, I just think its the only option left.

Rufus

Believable0 Unbelievable4

I'm hoping he brings cabellos and coubilay forward. From what I have heard, and seen, those 2 are head and shoulders above Kane.

Agree0 Disagree0

Owen! Rufus, Harry has gone. This would have been one of "his" signings. Remember, Rio, Cole, Phil Neville, Nelson, etc etc. What a JOKE!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you about cabellos and coulibaly! I've seen lots of them in nextgen series and both are mustard! Some of coulibalys goals are some of the best I've seen ever to grace a spurs shirt!

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not saying that i want owen in the squad but id rather him than no other option. i thought Kane was in avb's plans? don't make sense? i agree with the two youngsters mentioned but i dont think they will be included in the 25 man squad.

ED041 ere again..........just a mate mine said im not gonna read too much into it but said id give a update anyway spurs have not denied if the deal is not done or done yet! to any news news station or paper etc.which will still keep us all guessing maybe that so called 3rd party econimic rights thing maybe we have more time then we thought to sort that out cause im 100 percent sure we had everything else in before the deadline was just that that stops us.so who knows we all could still get a surprise tomorow but its a alot of asking but the what iv heard tonight of mates and a website theres defo no proper conformation of spurs YET! so lets hope ........ im off to my bed watever other eds that are on later will keep you up todate tomorow was a crazy deadline day! ED041 OVER N OUT!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

There is nothing on the Poto website either, surely if you've managaed to keep one of players there would be some news.

In Levy we Trust.

Why would he let Kane and Van der Vaart go without replacements, logically it doesn't make sense, all window it has been one in one out. I think we have been granted an extension to sort this out. My nan used to tell me (and she has gone now) to always keep the faith. So that's what I'm doing!

Anyway, if no news by Sunday, I'll be in Portugal so could find out.

The Rabbit

Agree0 Disagree2

Thanks Levy . Some good ones , but could there be a complete f**k up ? What is it with Levy and quality players ? How can we miss problems with ownership ? Because we always leave it so f***ing late !!!!!!!!! At £22 mill this was the steal of the decade ! Yes , we can still do well , but this should have been the icing on the cake , and then a last minute purchase of Dempsey ! Yes , a good addition but not lorente , who was there to take cheaply ! Thanks Mr Levy , for once again f***ing up what should have been a excellent chance to add quality to our team !
Davo

Agree6 Disagree7

Levy out levy out

Agree4 Disagree9

Why are we always so negative, ok we did not get Moutihno this time, we have signed 5 TOP quality players who WANT to play for our beloved club, we got rid of dead wood, yes I include Rafa in that, when was the last time he made a BIG difference in a game, lasted a FULL game?? in Dembele we have someone MOST believe will be as good, if not better than the Rat, and we complain about creativity....Sig, Bale, Lennon, Dembele, Dempsey, Ade.....come on, we have PACE to burn, and Hunger ad to that players that know each other, and big Jan and an Internaitional Captain in Lloris, and we STILL made money....blimey what a shambles we are....not

Agree4 Disagree2

Pehaps Coulibally is going to be in the first team as back up? Although not the icing he is the cherry!

EDO41 ERE----- Reason for moutinhos deal to collapse was everything was agreed but 3rd party rights was problem who ever that was they owned 15 percent economic rights of the player, thats why they allowed extra hours on it cause all paper work was true but they cudnt come to a arrangement with the 3rd party......THATS A TRUE UPDATE .

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Stinks of kia joarabchin again.
If I remember, the same issue came up when revel joined wet spam.
Apparently he was called a 'shark' then, so, looks like him trying to fill his pockets has cost us.
I think we will get him in January tho.
I bet AVB is spitting mad this morning

Agree4 Disagree1

**replace revel with tevez

Agree0 Disagree1

If this is true then it should have been known well before last night and should have been dealt with. No matter how you look at it, leaving your business to the last few hours is a disaster. It allows no time for hitches and can leave you badly caught if anything goes against you ie. Liverpool with Dempsey and us with Mouthino. You NEVER see Man Utd scrambling to do businesson the last day. It is lunacy.

The Don

They were selling Berba, I was talking about bringing in players at the last minute. It did not matter a toss to United whether Berba joined Fulham or not. If this is true then why wasn't this made clear when spurs first approached him and been dealt with before placing an offer?

Moutinho bid failed and won't go through. Supposedly something to do with a 3rd party owning 15% and being unable to sort that in time.

There are various sources on interweb stating that spurs' attempts were called off shortly after midnight despite having an extension granted.

All I all a pretty good window. We list modric and VDV but have them covered with sigurdsson dembele and Dempsey. Also throw in lloris and Vertonghen and the back half looks a stronger. Missed out on a world class forward but come January Llorente will be cheaper and a chance to come then. Also talk moutinho could still be on but unlikely. He might also come in January. Big chance for CL next season. COYS
BlueSpur

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Yeah, we only lost 2 of our 3 best players and replaced them with.....

Agree4 Disagree0

Modric never wanted to be there so is it really a loss selling a player that has his heart set on a move. As for VDV he was very good for us but its a like for like replacement with Dempsey. Dempsey will be available for more matches than VDV body allowed him to be and he also works harder than VDV. He is obviously not as talented as VDV but he makes up for it with his work rate.
BlueSpur {Ed041's Note - yup exactly dude thats what i thought VDV was great with his feet i wont deny that could take a shot from anywhere n had great technice, but was very slow n lost his skill he had few years ago, dempsey has great skill and alot more pace and works that little bit harder, the fact we got fulhams best two player the last two years dembele and dempsey is a big plus they could turn out 2 be alot better being ina better team!

Any one else of the opinion, cos sky have the monopoly on deadline day tv, that they fabricate stories??
We have had no confirmation if a bid excepted, rejected, terms agreed, rejected.
How close was, is moutinho?
Might of all been one big pr.ck tease.
They said at 11.50 that AVB and levy still at spurs lodge thrashing out the moutinho deal.
Then,on the hour headlines at 12, they read the headlines, blah blah, spurs sign lloris, Dempsey but fail in record deal??
Then nothing!!
Are we all suckers Ed, or have I an over active imagination lol {Ed007's Note - Every window another set of fans sees the light. All Sly's stories are geared towards getting you gambling, it is not a news service, more an extension of their betting arm. Does ITV give you odds on when the next bomb will go off?}

I am hearing some interesting rumbling at Spurs still,
Apparantly Moutinho is still ON, and we have signed another striker but this will not be confirmed to January 2013. I have a friend who works at Spurs and has been at the lodge all day fetching and carrying for DL & AVB, apparantly they are still there discussing deals with portugese seeming to be the spoken langauge watch this space!!

Dnt go to sleep yet spurs still trying the mout deal??? Edddd help I've lost the plot
Mr g {Ed007's Note - There is a ruling that states:

The deal sheet was introduced two years ago. Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation. The sheet cannot be used prior to 9pm and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am in which to submit the full paperwork. But if a club are looking to complete an international transfer, it still has to comply with the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) deadline of midnight.
