Eds do you think Spurs have a chance at snatching Higuain from Arsenal? cheers. {Ed008's Note - Nope

Believable9 Unbelievable16

I personally think higuain will be a flop, I could be proven wrong.

Agree17 Disagree19

Why would higuian go to spurs what can you offer him?

Agree18 Disagree13

Why do you think you can compare yourself to arsenal? And get a world class player like higuian when he is at his peak

Agree12 Disagree16

I agree with the second post, he will be a flop, as he is a donkey. {Ed008's Note - You only say that cos he's going to Arsenal if he was joining Spurs you'd praising him!

Agree17 Disagree16

I'd take villa over him any day

Agree13 Disagree15

Only chance we got of snatching Higuain is if Bale went the other way. Even then he might not agree to it.

Agree11 Disagree6

Ed that ain't true. I said a while ago when people werw linking him to us, I said he is painfully slow and would be a flop. You watch, he will drive them gooners nuts they will be begging for Bendthner back. {Ed008's Note - Well I don't know your anonymous poster too many people say he's a flop before he's kicked a ball his goal record says it all.

Agree8 Disagree4

Hes not a flop, but if he was that special Real Madrid wouldn't be selling him

Paulinho done deal :) Jimmy Jones

Agree9 Disagree3

The bloke is awesome, can't believe we are not at least trying to get him!

Agree7 Disagree7

If Henry was that special why would juventus sell him?

Agree9 Disagree9

You would rather have villa a 31 injury prone player over a world class player in his prime? But then again you probably got excited when you signed adebayor!

Agree14 Disagree9

I didn't say he was a flop I said I think he will be, and it's not because he's joining the scum. I never have thought he was that good, he can't get a starting place in the argentine team over tevez and aguero so he can't be that great

Agree9 Disagree6

ED you are certainly correct, and those doubting Higuain are clueless. His goal scoring record is second only to Messi, and Real Madrid will rue his departure.

You ask why Real Madrid are selling him, well because they have Ronaldo Morata and Benzema, and are clearly interested in bringing in another new striker. Players like DiMaria, Modric, Khedira, Ozil, Alonso and even Coentrao have all fallen out of favour during their tenure.

The club are barmy to let Higuain go, and I feel sick to think he will be playing for Arsenal. The dumb posts regarding him being slow and a donkey are almost laughable, and soon every Spurs fan will hate the fact he plays for Arsenal. More prolific than Van Persie, Bergkamp or even Ian Wright, I bet you he is a 25+ goals a season player.

Feeling sick writing this about a Gooner, but get a grip and be reasonable.

Agree16 Disagree12

Oh you spuds are so jealous. North London. Forever red.

Agree9 Disagree11

He came 8th in la ligas to scoring list this year he scored 16 goals?

Agree9 Disagree3

Yeah I'm really jealous and worried for tottenham, with Walcott upfront I think we have every right to be jealous

Agree7 Disagree2

I'm not convinced Higuan will be that good for Arsenal, never have rated him but we will see, hope I'm proven wrong. from a gooner!

Agree2 Disagree5

He's going to juventus anyway, why would spurs fans be jealous. We are getting Villa. Spains all time record scorer. Suck it up gooners and go back to your own page, your all so insecure.

Agree6 Disagree5

As much as I love being a Gooner and despise you Spuds, I still somehow value your team and love the brand of football you play. Maybe because my best mate is a Spurs fan and I love the rivalry. Anyway, moving on with the reply to this post. Half of you have no idea what you're writing about.

Yes Higuain was 8th in the scoring charts of La Liga last year but how much game time did he get? Forgive me if I am wrong but did he not have an injury as well? Why can't he break into the Argentina starting 11? You just answered your own question. Because of Tevez and Aguero - two highly respected players whose goal scoring records for there country speak for themselves. Juventus have snatched him up? No. They just landed Tevez and Llorente. Two great forwards who will be playing with other forwards such as Giovinco, Matri etc, etc, there is no need for him. Where would he fit? And hasn't it been reported that they've pulled out for him anyway? You'd prefer Vila to Higuain. So would I if he was Higuain's age but he's injury prone and how old now? Also weren't we liked to land him last transfer window?

These posts seem like pure jealously. I honestly do hope we land him but then again knowing how Wenger deals with things it'll be another "missed" target, so I won't run my mouth too much.

As before mentioned for some reason I do value your club and I hope this coming season both clubs will be strong and play some great football. The top 4 spots are all in contention now and I honestly think both teams will be up there.

Dear Corbs Adelaide Gooner,

Who knows how players will settle into new clubs and countries and, every signing has some sort of gamble with it but, I think you're dead right. Villa would be great hype for us and COULD be a good signing if he's fit however, Higuain has the better profile for more potential to come IMO. Hence the difference in the price- tags though. I still cannot see Levy spending £10m ish on an injury prone 31 year old anyway but we'll see.

Agree3 Disagree2

Corbs, what does age matter, if spurs get a few good years out of Villa and Higuain is s**** in his time if you get him. Age is just a number. Obviously spurs are not buying for resale value. Also your point about Juve having to many strikers, if he was that good they would fit him in and Madrid wouldn't sell.

Agree1 Disagree0

Higuain is frustrated at Madrid and wants to leave. He'd get far more playing time at Arsenal than at Juventus now that they have Tevez. Having previous interest before the purchase of Tevez meant theat there WAS interest and room for him. You're forgetting now that the position has been filled - thus why they've stopped pursuing him.
Vila would be a great purchase for anyone IMO but a couple of things remain. It would be his first season playing outside of Spain in a high tempo league, and at his age it could really break him from former glory. I can't see him moving to either of our teams. Why spend that money? He doesn't seem like a Wenger or AVB move. AVB would more likely pursue Benteke or Jackson Martinez.

Corbs Adelaide Gooner

Agree1 Disagree2

Do any Spurs fans who look on this page also look on Arsenals page? I never have personally. I don't care what it says on Arsenals page. It doesn't interest me in the slightest. Seems to me that any Arsenal fan posting on the Spurs page is a bit "Spurs curious" and a touch jealous of our lovely Tottenham family. They probably didn't have parents who loved them, feel a bit insecure and crying out for attention.

Agree5 Disagree2

To corbs Adelaide gooner, if he is this great striker arsenal think he is, why aren't Dortmund, Chelsea, city, psg all teams looking for strikers trying to buy him? Because he's over rated! And WILL be a flop. Stop looking at your rivals page and compliment them so people don't argue with you. He's scored 16 goals Walcott scored 14 that shoes even s*** player can do it.

Agree3 Disagree3

This'll be my final reply in regards to this post. The Arsenal page gets a lot of Spurs fan putting there two cents in, but it's not only Spurs, Pool and City fans go on it as well. I don't look at your guys page every day, but when I do it's just for the pure fact that I'd like to know how well you guys are doing in the market. As I've already stated. Yes I do have a spot for Tottenham, so slate me all you want. As for the remark about "parents who loved them", honestly grow up. I live in Australia, do you know how much real football fans there are over here? Not many when you have AFL and Rugby as the main sports. Football or also known as soccer is just starting to grow.

To the unnamed poster stating why hasn't Higuian been looked at by Dortmund etc etc. Well I'd like to get the edds confirmation but yes he has. PSG, Chelsea, City, Napoli and Juventus have all looked or are retaining an interest for him, but these teams are relying on OUTS as to see who goes IN.

You cannot say Higauin will be a flop before he's even kicked a ball at the Emirates (that's assuming he comes of course). That would be like me saying Paulinho is s*** and will be an over priced signing before he's played, or that Adebayor will turn into an egotistic all round useless player once he signed for you guys. Btw how much did we get for him? lol.

For the Walcott comment about being a s*** player, well I don't really value him to be honest but then again he is young, has plenty of time to prove his worth so who knows.

As I've said I'll gladly like any edds input as to what I've written. Always retain an interest to this page during this time of the year, so I hope come next season we can both make the top and fight it out on the big stages.

Corbs Adelaide Gooner.
PS: Why don't those unnamed posters sign off?

Agree1 Disagree0

I meant shows*

Agree1 Disagree0

Corbs - you are right that people cannot say that higuain will be a flop before he's kicked a ball at the emirates, but similarly you cannot say that they are definitely wrong because it is all just speculation at this stage.

But just as how you can say it is your opinion that he will be successful they can say it is their opinion that he won't be. I have mixed feelings on the matter. On the one hand I don't think he's as good as many people (yourself included) are making out, and for the money I think that there are better options. On the other hand he has many of the attributes that are good in the PL and is much better than the current front men that you have (and for that matter than Spurs currently have) so he would add to your team.

Is he a 20 a season player? Personally I doubt it, but as you said we'll just have to wait and see.

Agree1 Disagree1

So your relying on the fact that the sun said psg and the other teams have interest in him. And I didn't say he will defiantly be a flop I said I think he will be. Read it properly as I stated that twice. And if you're part of a team that can make Spain look that poor they're not over rated

Agree1 Disagree0

Personally thing higuin is class and why on earth would he sign for arsenal let's be honest havnt won fk all for nearly a decade no ambition at all.

Agree1 Disagree2

I'm an arsenal fan, and I'm only on here because a mate told me to check it out because it's funny what you guys are saying about Higuain. And he was right! Some of this stuff is hilarious!

It's looking very likely Turkey is going to be adebayors next money spinner

Believable27 Unbelievable2

Who cares as long as he goes!
Send him on a one way ticket please!

Agree21 Disagree3

He won't go there. The Turks won't tolerate laziness.

Gabriel.

Agree5 Disagree10

Swap him and 10 mill for yilmaz

Agree12 Disagree4

I will pay for his air fare!

Agree10 Disagree0

Shhh stop calling him lazy. you might scare them away. adebayor is a very good player who is full of energy :-)

Agree18 Disagree2

Adebayor is a brilliant world class superstar, with amazing first touch control, combined with speed, flair and superb heading and shooting accuracy.

Not sure why my nose is sore, but must be the rapid expansion of cartilage!

Agree9 Disagree1

Nerves of steel when it comes down to penalties although if you look up on a clear night you might still spot the last one he took

Agree10 Disagree0

You forget that Adebayor is only lazy in his SECOND season. He tries really hard in his first season!

Agree1 Disagree0

He used to be like that now he's slow useless apparently he's moving to besinktas or whatever
