This sounds interesting according to Spanish newspapers Barcelona want Modric if the Fab deal doesn't go through and are willing to swap David Villa and 15m as part of the deal. Barca want Rossi and Sanchez or Hazard to be on the wing as there forwards which would show Villa the door. that is only Spanish Newspapers but i think that would be an unbelievable deal if it were to happen. tell me what you think Ed and Spurs fans {Ed008's Note - Personally couldn't see Villa being part of the deal as the player only likes to play Spain as he's a "family" guy and realistically we couldn't afford his wages.

Modric to stay, unless he forces a move and refuses to play. He won't do this, and is far too professional to do otherwise. He will remain a Spurs player until at least January when Levy knows he will be able to command the highest possible fee for him, as Liverpool did with Torres in the previous window. Spurs will invest big though and plan for a future without Modric whilst he is still at the club. They will go back in for Marin and a serious move could also be made for Piatti. The obvious thing to be drawn from Levy's statement is that money is not an issue and Redknapp confirmed that this has been backed up by Joe Lewis who is keen to push the club on.

Modric will stay in my opinion, only if we bring in a few ambitious players who are on the same wave length as Luka. If we don't do this soon then we will end up loosing our star man.
People can criticise modric but at the end of the day the man never handed in a transfer request, which suggests that there is still hope for us.
If he does leave, sell him in january when prices for players are sky high. Just have a look at Torres. In the meantime find a suitable replacement if the man decides he wants out.

It seems Man City have put a bid in for Modric. These 'test the reaction' bids are a waste of time. Let's get down to serious business. Tottenham HotSpur, you hold an asset worthy of making a counter proposal. If they are willing to pay more than he is worth, well then. They have money and they have players that would fit in better at THSFC than at MCFC. I believe it would be a lot more 'fun' playing this great game of football at Tottenham than playing for Man City. Sometimes I feel a team can only be as strong in character and can only carry as much belief in themselves as displayed by it's Owners and it's Director(s).

My Dad who is posted in Germany is friends with marco marins dad. he says his son is looking for a flat in London and was a Jurgen Klinnsman fan as a boy so would love to come to Spurs.
