Ed, I'm hearing Anzhi have apparently bid £26m for Benteke, is there any truth in this! {Ed001's Note - I have no idea, sorry.}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Sounds like a villa fan trying to stir up trouble again. let them have him if Anzhi are willing to pay over the odds for him.

Agree2 Disagree7

I certainly hope so.

Agree6 Disagree4

Heard that this morning too, doubt Levy can hold off interest from Anzhi in all honesty.

Agree9 Disagree2

Hope so

Agree2 Disagree1

Anzhi aren't going to pay 26 million for someone they hardly heard of with no champions league experience. Even if they did I can't imagine Benteke wanting to go there anyway

Agree5 Disagree7

Depends if benteke wants coverage or cash I suppose.

Agree6 Disagree1

Benteke will go where ever the money is and then throw his toys when things don't go his way!

Agree4 Disagree3

Anzhi signed samba for 13 so 26 for benteke doesn't seem far off. They paid a stupid amount for that traore who is useless

Agree5 Disagree2

Happy enough if they do, I get the feeling Benteke will be just another one season wonder and if we sign him we'll be paying a huge premium on the back of something he's unlikely to repeat

Agree4 Disagree5

Lacina traore gives results.

Agree1 Disagree4

If we don't sign Benteke we are leaving ourselves with little other options as Negredo is on his way to city. Its seriously looking like Benteke or Soldado people and we need to act fast!

Agree9 Disagree3

I wouldn't mind seeing a cheeky bid for Torres! Would score goals at Spurs!

Agree10 Disagree4

Torres will be surplus if Chelski get Rooney and he would be a quality acquisition!

Agree11 Disagree3

You spuds make us laugh.

You won't get Negredo nor Torres nor any other established player, why? Cus you ain't big enough. You don't even find your own players that will be great, you kind of fell on Bale as he is the only decent player you've produced.
You always try to either steel others up and coming players or sign has Beens that will come for a pay day lol.

Please hurry and sign Benteke though as we are about to unearth a couple of other gems that want to play football, and not come just for the money.

Good luck with him haha and don't forget to wave at us when we pass you lot lol.

Oh I forgot to say thanks for all that cash your going to give us, I hope you get you get at least 10m back next summer when he moves again.

Mind you, you could offset some of the funds you get for Bale lol and you may just break even.

Now do you feel like you've been done up like a kipper pmsl

Villa Chris B6

Agree8 Disagree20

Villa Chris how does it feel to be a feeder club? And how's that 24 million pound spurs reject bent doing? You'll be luck to recoup a quarter of that :) enjoy that 18-20 mil loss. Concentrate on your own team as your closer to championship than you are top 10

Agree7 Disagree6

You my friend, have been out in the sun far too long.
Take an ice bath and get the liquids up (water I mean)
You must be a bit buzzy and delusional.

Agree5 Disagree5

Sorry for the above post.

All of us Villa fans are not like the guy who wrote the rubbish above.

Lets hope we all have a good season and try to prove the best league in the world is the PREM.

Forgive us, we are all a bit p----d with Benteke.

Villa Fan

Agree7 Disagree2

If it wasn't for Benteke villa would now be in the championship so don't understand what your problem is with him you should be grateful to him. He is just to good for your club, he doesn't want to stay at a club fighting for safety he wants to be at a club with ambition going places

Agree3 Disagree5

Fair play Villa fan, you openly admitted that's it's Benteke who has annoyed you and I think that's why there's negativity from your lot towards us. There's no other reason.
On top of that I apologise if some of the spurs comments are disrespectful towards Villa it's just we are fed up with all the Villa fans invading our site. It's not our fault Benteke wants to leave.

Best of luck next year the Epl is big enough for both teams

Agree5 Disagree1

Re-Fair play.

Thanks for you comments, I have watched Villa for years and seen some great games against you lot.

PS will be checking this site from time to time to see if there are any bargains?

Best of luck to you lot as well.

Agree4 Disagree1

Re-fair play. It's not a knock as you as fans, it is a knock at the player in question and levy.

We have only visited your site with interest in your thoughts on the pending transfer.

While some fans have been hospitable towards us, some have been very disrespectful also.

It is however about both our clubs and the player. I don't really think spurs fans actually want him anyway.

Most of my original post was a bit of banter and nothing personal. I do like spurs and the way they play. I have said before you play some of the most attractive football at times I have seen.
I do think in most aspects regarding our clubs we are similar. Only your squad has a bit more experience and you do need to keep Bale.
If you don't however this is where I think Benteke will be off. I don't know though if he will fit in as he will want to be the main man. I just hope Levy pays the money so he is gone from us because we will move on.

Good luck for the season and hope you get what you want.

Villa Chris, much respect for your positive reply after the first post, couldn't have been easy lol.

We have banter that's why we're here but just get carried away by different comments we read. It's never going to stop. So as you can expect I've received abuse on your page. Who cares try find the sensible/less wound up people.

Bale will be our "signing of the season" if we keep him. I don't see him leaving this year but I would say that. I think your right though you need to just accept it and move on. Would be a stupid rivalry between our clubs, over Benteke, really?

Thanks again for the reply.

Hi Eds,

Do you know if there's any truth is the Joel Pohjanpalo rumours? The kid seems pretty good by all counts and would be a bargain at £1m if that is the price that Helsinki would accept.

Dom {Ed001's Note - Helsinki have accepted a number of bids for him now, it is the lad that keeps turning them down as he doesn't feel they are the right move for him at this point in his career. In other words, he wants to be guaranteed to play first team football and he is not getting those guarantees so far. I don't know of any Spurs interest, or bid, but I wouldn't expect it to be any different from previous efforts. Though I do think, personally, he needs to step up a level or his career will stagnate, and now is as good a time as any!}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

It's a problematic case: HJK want to get 1, 7M£ for Pohjanpalo but Pohjanpalo wants regular first-team football. The asking price could only be paid by big clubs in the top leagues, where Pohjanpalo could not be guaranteed immediate first team football.

For Pohjanpalo's own future it would be best to join a smaller league (Netherlands or similar level), but clubs in those countries won't be paying more than 1M, which might not be okay for HJK.

However it is obvious that Pohjanpalo will be sold in August. Now he's a key player for HJK and their CEO recently said that end of August would be a good time to sell Pohjanpalo. The Finnish season is going on as we speak (it's a summer league), so of course HJK want to keep him with them as long as possible.

Monaco, Liverpool and Spurs have been in the recent news but there's also major interest from Mönchengladbach, Leverkusen and dozens and dozens of other European teams. There have allegedly been scouts from nearly all European countries (maybe not from Luxembourg. ) watching him in Finland. {Ed001's Note - he already rejected Liverpool once, due to not feeling he would get enough first team football.}

Eds, what is the likelyhood of us buying in Toby Alderweireld (Spelling) to play as our left back for this season, being so versatile and similar to verts?! {Ed002's Note - I expected Alderweireld to go to Spurs to replace Gallas or Roma to replace Marquinhos and I would not discount either club showing an interest in him still. Liverpool decided the asking price was too high, but it is certainly less than that being asked for Papadopoulos. It looked likely that a move to Bayer Leverkusen would go ahead but they too see him as over priced. Maybe Liverpool will look to him again if Skrtel or Agger move on. Norwich have made an enquiry and had a bid accepted by Ajax, but the player is not keen to move there. Everton will likely match Norwich's offer and put the player on the spot regarding a transfer. Arsenal may well show some interest if he is still available later in the summer.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

He isn't that good anyway. Papadoupalous is good and would be a quality signing.

Agree9 Disagree11

Do we really need a replacement for ballad given that Kaboul is back from injury

Morning Ed, what's happening with Chadli (? )? He wants to come, he is cheap, scores with both feet, and Swansea are now after him! This is one transfer we need, is laid on a plate, surely Levy is not going to f**k this one up! I am a great believer in Lennon but this player has all Lennon has got but has two great feet and can score goals!
Come on Baldini and tight arse get this sorted!

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new in the interest of Swansea.

One time looking to a move to Fulham, Chadli is now attracting offers from Swansea, Shaktar and Locomotive Moscow. Spurs, Liverpool, Juventus and Dortmund are also considered potential suitors. He will move this summer - but perhaps one to drag out.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Cardiff fan here do any of you no Scott Parker coming to cardiff?

Agree4 Disagree3

Truth is mate no one knows!

. except for the clubs, the agents and the players themselves.

Anything else is pure speculation, paper talk and hear say!

THAT'S THE TRUTH.

SpursDave at work! {Ed001's Note - you can rule the players out usually, I can remember giving one player grief about him not telling me he was moving clubs. He was adamant he wasn't going anywhere and a few hours later I got a call off him apologising as he had just been told to go for a medical with his new club, if he wanted the move. I suppose it depends on the player though, some are very actively involved in their career, others are happy to leave it to their agents and just worry about playing football, on their consoles and going to Nandos. Which reminds me, what is it about Nandos and footballers? They don't seem to be able to go for longer than a couple of days without going there.}

Agree1 Disagree2

He wants to stay in London. Taffy

QPR or Fulham would be my guess.

Agree1 Disagree1

No mate, but you can have him and Livermore if you want!

Agree0 Disagree1

Nando's serves chicken which is high in protein and footballers therefore have an excuse to go to a fastfood type of restaurant. It didn't do Tom Huddlestone, Wayne Rooney, Hulk or Jon Parkin any harm did it! {Ed001's Note - when you put it like that, I can see what an excellent choice of restaurant it is, who wouldn't want a physique as sculpted as Parkin's?}

Agree2 Disagree1

Nando's serve the best chicken on the planet!

Agree2 Disagree8

Nandos sucks, way overhyped. It's KFC all the way!

Guys, guys
You want good chicken, you go to my Grandad's.
Simple

Agree0 Disagree3

Strangely, when Craig Noone signed for Cardiff his first question was do we have a Nandos? Always puzzled me that, and at last I have the answer. Other than we have 3 too many.

By the way, you mustn't refer to us as Taffys. Politically incorrect apparently. Couldn't give a toss myself. Nor does Gareth Bale, I suspect.
