Any facts backing up this 'fact'mate.

Me thinks Jacanory.For two reasons

1)He only signed for PSV just over a year ago for quite a large transfer fee. Would expect his contrat would be in excess of 3 years as a minimum
2)I think I am right in saying you can only sign a pre contract agreement if you are within 6 months of the end of your contract. That would mean his contract would have to end in April 2013 ( before the end of the season)

I think that any player playing abroad can discuss a pre contract with 12 months remaining on their current deal.
But would still like to see some proof of this.

Foreign players can sign a pre-contract with another club when they have 6 months remaining on contract {Ed001's Note - 6 months when the team they are signing for is in a different FA, 1 month when it is the same FA. So he could sign for Spurs 6 months before the end of his current contract, but if he signed for AJax, he could only sign a pre-contract with them a month before his contract ends.}
