ED008 Moyes is the fav to take over i would like AVB or Benitez who do you think we will get

THFC
{Ed008's Note - I'd say anyone out of Moyes,AVB,Benitez and Steve Kean (joke). Has to be someone who brings positive football for me either AVB or Rafa Benitez.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Not moyes, we need a manager who can attract big names..... Will miss harry, we will certainly lose players now, levy needs to have manager and player plans in place quickly!!

Scary times.....

Agree12 Disagree10

Happy days im really pleased he changed your team and made you play well but now you will go back to being bottom feeders ...fantastic

Agree16 Disagree14

Benitez didn't even know Alonso was his best player by a mile till injuries forced him to play him and by then it was too late and Alonso wanted out and Liverpool have only just got rid of the trash Benitez bought, AVB has proved nothing in a decent league where as Moyes has worked miracles for a decade at a club who need a whipround to buy a 1st class stamp

Agree13 Disagree13

So I know we won't get Guardiola but how about Klinsmann? Moyes isn't going to attract the names we want/need!

Agree9 Disagree10

Would love to see klinnsmann, far fetched but he did a good job for Bayern and Germany.....

Really don't fancy moyes, Benitez or avb, we need to continue style of football and none of above will do that. Losing harry now is just bad timing......

Say bye bye to modric, vdv and a couple of others, mr levy we need to see your money for new manager and players, to avoid todays decision being a disaster......

Sad day.......

Dan

Agree9 Disagree8

Really?
What had Harry done prior to moving to Spurs to attract big name players?
Answer: Nothing. He didn't attract them.
Bale and Modric were already there, DL got VdV and is the one pushing for Vertonghen. Harry? He wanted Joe Cole.

Agree15 Disagree2

Spurs should think realisticly your in the same boat as liverpool was your not going to get pep or moyes you shouldnt get your hopes to high....

Agree8 Disagree6

Will miss Harry, what a hero he was to this team when he first took over:/ he will be missed.

Agree7 Disagree4

Defo no to Benitez, tactically inept.

Agree6 Disagree11

Has to be Moyes, bring in Fellini,Baines and Jelovic i think this would keep Bale,VDV Quite happy then 3rd next season.COYS.

Agree8 Disagree14

Ed008, surely a joke about Benitez bringing 'positive football'?? {Ed001's Note - it must have been, Rafa's main focus was on stopping the opposition, that seems very negative to me.}

Agree5 Disagree0

I would like to see Frank rijkaard or Claudio ranieri, but I think thats just hopeing!!

Agree4 Disagree2

Benitez tactically inept?! that's one thing you cannot label him

Agree8 Disagree3

A few months ago there were loads if posts from disgruntled supporters, lambasting Redknapp for his total lack of tactical prowess. Well now everyone of those who wanted him out have got their wish. The hard job starts with finding a replacement, and I dread the thought of Moyes who lacks any charisma or flair required at a top job. Sure he has done well at Everton getting into the Uefa Cup 3 times and cementing the 7th spot regularly. However I believe he is boring, lacking of character, encourages negative football and would be nothing short of average at Spurs. We need someone who has class, character and a fans favourite. Sure Gus Poyet has done well but is too inexperienced, Klinsmann has more international experience but is a hero and perhaps Hoddle back surely more balanced after his massive experience.

I personally feel that Moyes is coming to Spurs. However this type of appointment always has many surprises and twists of fate, and maybe Levy has a master plan unbeknown to anyone else.

My mind ponders the thought about many forgotten names. Curbishley, Laudrop, Can Basten, Hoddle, Klinsmann, Keegan, Phil Brown, Steve Coppell, Mark Hughes, AVB and even Martin Jol himself. Many of these out of a job and at least 5 I would pick over Moyes. I say get Hoddle back for at least 2 years and get some transfers signed fast and get into top 4.

The Oracle

Agree5 Disagree2

"Moyes, bring in Fellaini,Baines and Jelevic".... Yeah right, and where do you suppose we get the money to buy these 3? Get real pal

Agree9 Disagree6

Oracle, some sense at last! If we get Moyes, Hoddle must be his assistant; this will balance out the -ve football with some attractive football. Personally, i would like us to give Hoddle another chance!

Agree3 Disagree3

Ranieri? you are having a laugh.

Agree1 Disagree3

This is someone having a joke, lets face it Spurs would have to pay millions in compensation before rebuilding the sqaud they have.Fellini wants champions league football and with Chelsea, Real Madrid and other top clubs why would he go to spurs. Baines is happy where he is for at least 1 more season and would probably go to Man Utd.Even if they all went to Spurs how muchdo you think it would cost them. They had Pinear on cheap and want double that for him now. If i was BK i would play hard ball back over charge them like they have us and sell players to anyone but them just to spite them. Lets face it who are they anyway no manager, not in Europe and their star players all want to leave. Moyers is good but not a magician and Modrin and Bale will leave for better clubs.

Agree6 Disagree2

You seriously can not think Mark Hughes or Keegan would be good candidates.

Agree1 Disagree2

Moyes has one year left on his contract. There wouldn't be a huge amount of speculation

Agree0 Disagree2

Why oh why oh why do people always want "fans favourite" to be managers dont get me wrong Hoddle was my idol and did well when in charge but that was sooo long ago, Keegan, shearer and Dalglish(last time around) all legends but didnt do it and remind me how many games was it ferguson played for utd?

Agree2 Disagree1

Bring in baines, felliani and jelovic

What planet are you on lad,

Firstly Moyes would not go to you as it is a sidestep

You will sell modric and bale soon

You couldnt afford the three players named and why would they go to you

Everton have a better history and now a better team

Worst mistake you have ever done sacking harry

Liverpool will be above you next season and thats saying something

Degsybluenose

Agree13 Disagree6

Rich,what planet am i on, Modric 40m Jenus 3m if we iucky,bassong 4m, Bentley 3m,Gio 5m,have a think before you write pal.COYS

Agree3 Disagree1

So you reckon you would get 55m from sales? It would cost you 28 for fellaini - 20 at least for baines and at least 20 for jelavic!
That leaves you 13m Short my deluded cockney friend!
I do appreciate the fact that you think our manager, and three of our players would improve on your fourth place finish next season though. This can only mean great things for us! COYB!

Harry Redknapp sacked!

Source- sky sports news
{Ed008's Note - I could have told you this weeks ago if you asked....

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Please re-read my posts from over the last 48 hours. Unlike other regulars on here - I've just been proved right. Maybe the oracle will understand how this feels one day (don't bet on it though)

Flippit. {Ed001's Note - harsh!}

Agree3 Disagree3

The truth often hurts Ed. Harsh but true baby.

Flippit

Agree3 Disagree4

Was well chuffed when Harry was appointed but think he messed up especially when super negative against very poor Villa team, his head was turned by England job when he should have seen the Spurs season through 1st ... Moyes with a bit of money behind him is a exciting prospect

ou812

Agree4 Disagree9

Awful decision....I just can't comprehend what the board were thinking unless they have someone amazing to take over and in my mind that only means guardiola - which ain't happening! Huge step backwards potentially. Modric definitely to go - moyes a fantastic manager, but for me martinez's style of play fits the bill more.

Agree4 Disagree1

Flippitt you are the joker always throwing stones and telling everyone they are regurgitating old news. Your post 48 hours ago was all over the internets from multiple sources, and unlike you most of us tried to close our eyes and hope that Levy had some miracle plan in motion.

So stop being a self righteous clown who critiques every post only to regurgitate newsnow.com and try to sound like you are in the know. I can tell you one thing for sure, this was a shock to Harry and everyone connected to Spurs is none the wiser as to what replacement is being lined up. Levy has clearly got a manager in mind and it seems likely that is Moyes, but I have to be honest for all of Harry's shortcomings, I seriously doubt Moyes is the answer.

So Flippit stop being a total douche and trying to appear to be informed. With 33 posts on various sites which I read myself, you took a shot at trying to claim it was your news. For example any clown or joker like you could have logged into any bookmakers and seen the price at 2/5 Moyes.

Having said that all roads point to Moyes, I really hope that all these rumours and Flippits cut and paste are wrong.

The Oracle

Agree2 Disagree0

Flippit you regurgitated the stories linking Moyes and Redknepp being sacked. Now that AVB is being touted all over the Internet do you fancy changing your story, or are you sticking with Moyes?

Just a thought vdv is playing the mod roll against Germany. If we sell mod play him wiv Parker in a 442. What u think
Mr g

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I have been saying this all along and people just say no, he can only play in one position, in my opinion he could be just as influential as Modric in that position

James_THFC

Agree2 Disagree4

Viable suggestion. Rafa's got a fantastic touch and is a great passer so I don't see why we couldnt use him there. The only question is whether he would be prepared to do the running and work required for that position.

Agree3 Disagree1

Thats were he should play with 2 up front

Agree0 Disagree1

Mr g, i agree. (haha unintentional rhyme)
we could get a good deal of money for modric and spend that on a good striker instead of a modric replacement. Also, vdv ruined our shape, but if modric goes then vdv can play in his role and we can go back to our old shape. However one problem may be that Vdv may not be able to last the full 90 minutes in that position as he's not as fit as Modric.
good call Mr g

The Sledgehammer

Agree1 Disagree1

Think we should go back to the OSSIE management way 5 attacking and defenders that just defend no flying fullbacks, wasfun trying to score one more than u !!

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry I don't agree. Luka does a whole lot in defense too. You have all seen how rafa defends. He gets overran so easily and we would constantly be on the back foot. That's why he is always the first one to be subbed by sandro or Livermore.
Holland plays a different formation then us.
Maybe if we play a 4-2-2-2

Agree2 Disagree1

4-2-2-2? feeling suicidal?

the only teams who have that firepower is madrid and barca, coz in a 4222 the defense will be suspect due to gaps in the middle or the wings depending on the play,

madrid would lap that system, barca still dont have a good defense...as for trying this formation in the epl? suicidal...especially with the long ball approach...that wud take out 6 players in one punt and the middle wide open.-

Agree0 Disagree1

We could easily play 4-2-3-1 like a lot of top teams do (Germany, Real madrid etc) with a team of Keeper, Walker, Kaboul, Daws/Vert, BAE, Sandro, Parker, Bale, Lennon, VDV, Striker(Ade?)
