We have reportedly taken on a young keeper for trial by the name of matthew Ryan ...

Believable3 Unbelievable0

According to the Sydney morning herald, not ashamed to admit i have no idea how reliable a source they are :L

steed

Agree0 Disagree0

Also on CFC (cartilage free captain)
Although if you watch Him he looks pretty decent for 19

Agree1 Disagree1

Wow are you serious? I am from Australia and come here to read a few things. Matty is amazing, I watch him every second weekend when they play - he's always at terrigal pub. I'll ask him next when I see him. Only 20 or 21. Top player.

Agree2 Disagree0

Who does (for 19)?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 years old

Spurs Lad

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good goal keeper was named the best goal keeper in the a-league in australia last season definitely worth a shot

Agree1 Disagree0

19? hes 20. But your right he has potential to be a brilliant keeper.

Not sure if we'll get moutinho, good player but no sell on price if we get him for 25+, doesn't sound like a levy signing, i think he'll look at someone more like modders when we bought him, ED? {Ed002's Note - There is interest but he is very expensive. An alternate might be Khedira.}

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Khedira id defo be happy with that if it happened class player! 20 mill and him of madrid for modric be good deal

Agree1 Disagree8

Now and again DL needs to forget about the sell on price of a player. Moutinho would be good for us and is only in his mid twenties, so has a few years in him yet. I bet he'd improve playing for us too.

Agree3 Disagree1

Sandro, Parker, Livermore.......why khedira??

Rufus

Agree6 Disagree2

I agree with rufus I think khedira is too defensive and not a creative modric replacement

Agree3 Disagree0

Rufus, add Huddlestone to that list too.

Diego

Agree4 Disagree1

If we are buying a player for 25m + it sounds like we mean business and are aiming for silverware rather than thinking about sell on profits. That has been our trouble for years. We must aim high now.

Agree3 Disagree0

Whoever says we cannot think about sell on profits .... We are not and I repeat we are not owned by some oil tycoon etc we cannot simply go out and buy players were we will not get anything back ....
We are in a delicate position financially ... Having to find funds for the stadium and having to buy new players granted with the amount of players going out the actual cost of new ins wont be that high but ... I also realise that we are not until the new stadium comes in a position to say yes we can buy players at 30m and doesn't matter about sell on prices ... That stupid talk is for the likes of Chelsea and man city
Get real guys please

Agree0 Disagree2

I think we wil sign mouthino...thats why we arnt happy 2 take less then 32 mil...AVB knows that mouthino would play for him again..the player said so him self....he will bat WHL next season

Dapz

Agree1 Disagree0

Repeat what you want...A billionaire has a large share in the club already...Time to go forward and stop settling for averageness.......To dare is to do is the club motto....Let's do it or we can kiss goodbye to champions league football

Agree2 Disagree0

The only reason youd be singing a 25mill+ player is if modric leaves.it will be his replacement using the money gained from modrics departure

Hearing we sunderland are signing huddleston iwhat is he really like. Happy to see him go or do you like him. Comments please. Mad max

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Hudd must stay! If fit, he can replace modd in the midfield.
I dont see AVB selling or loaning him to any team, he's a great player

The Brazilian Yid

Agree10 Disagree5

I think this Sunderland supporter is living in Cloud Cook coo Land why would AVB get rid of a young player that has a load of skill on the ball to you and if he was for sale there would be a lot of clubs sfter him.

Agree7 Disagree0

Unlikely he'll go if I'm honest. Great player, amazing range of passing and a really powerful shot. Very slow though, and has had some significant injury problems. He also has a charity fundraiser going on where he is not going to cut his hair until he scores a goal

Agree5 Disagree1

I love the hudd .... And for one at least would actually be upset to see him go .... He has a cracking pass on him just a little on the slower side

Agree7 Disagree1

I would be distraught to see him leave. he a quality player. he can pick a pass, likes a tackle and has a hell of a shot on him. Had a bad injury last season which resulted him in playing just 4 games so would have to see how he comes back from that.

Agree3 Disagree0

I love him personally, he was vital the season we got 4th, him and modders running the show, seems unagile but gets himself out of trouble well, can always pop up with a goal from distance when needed, and springs counter attacks for fun with his long range passing ability, easily one of the best in the league.

although he needs football, when hes in and out of the team or just back from injury you can tell he is very rusty, once he gets going though i rate him very highly. would be brilliant for you boys but heres hoping AVB takes to him, playing a 3 man midfield im hopeful he'll have a place for him, especially when its only necessary to play one of parker/sandro against the lesser teams.

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with you all a top player if AVB even thinks of getting rid he's made his 1st mistake already
ou812

Agree2 Disagree0

The Stone is our Pirlo. I do not think he is the kind of player that can play in a flat four midfield, but in a 4-3-3, his lack of pace should be ok as having Parker and Sandro/Moutinho besides him for the legs.

Everyone knows his weakness is pace, but his passing range is on a level of Gerrard and Becks. And when he gets the ball just outside of the box, EVERY Yido stands and shouts "shoot".

I hope his injury is not career threatening and I hope he gets back into shape as he does ooze class when he has the ball at his feet.

Naz

Agree5 Disagree1

Hudd's a top player and will be going nowherer

Agree6 Disagree0

Thud can be top boy.not just at spurs but premier leagues top boy he really can,but needs to get fit and stay fit.if he does that hes got to get in that england side

Agree3 Disagree0

T'Hudd most stay - end of.

Agree1 Disagree0

Better passer than modric.....

Rufus

Agree1 Disagree1

Hudd is a quality player but we seem 2 have a solid two players ahead of him..sandro and parker..but i do think hes good enough to stay and get in the team again once hes injury free

DAPZ

Agree2 Disagree0

He isnt the most mobile but hes a fantastic footballer if parker or sandro had his vision and shot they would get in any team in the world

Agree4 Disagree0

Great player, but needs to go on loan for a season to get fit and not to get injured for a year!

Agree1 Disagree0

Do any of the eds know what's likely to happen to iago falque this season? {Ed008's Note - I assume he'll go out to pre-season with the team and then AVB will see if he's required he's got potential no question about that..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

We have a lot of younsters that may make the first team at some point this season; Coulibaly, Townshend, Carroll (not that one!), Kane.....

Agree1 Disagree1

I doubt Coulibaly will he's only 17

Agree3 Disagree1

I like little Carroll. He showed some class and is like a little terrier when chasing down the ball when he played in some of the cup games. I think he could be great addition given someone to point him in the right direction and given opportunities to get some experience.

Agree3 Disagree1

Don't forget ceballos, quality young player

Agree3 Disagree1

I disagree. I think little Carroll is just that, too little. I dont think he has enough about him to counteract his lack of size. Doubt he'll have a long career for us.

And as for Townsend, no. Sorry, good attitude but not talented enough, another who will get a few games, hope he copes, then bank him out to a Birmingham or Ipswch for a few mil. Danny Rose another.

Coulio? Anyone actually seen him play since hes been here - I havent.

Tone the Bone

Agree1 Disagree3

Anyone know how he fared on loan at derby?

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll for me looks like, if he's managed properly and hits the gym, could be a new modric in a few years. Sherwood is really high on him, but unfortunately he didn't get many games at derby

Agree2 Disagree2

Carroll defo looks like he could be a quality player for the club but must be stronger on the ball...modric isnt the biggest guy is he but hes strong on the ball and the balls glued 2 his foot...carroll will become a good player

Agree2 Disagree1

Caulker and kane should go on loan for another season. Top quality players who should be mature enough and have enough experiance to be significant players for spurs in the future!

Spurs have agreed a fee for Adebayor. Believed to be £6.25m. Just personal terms and medical to do. Shouldn't be too difficult to sort out though as Ade said last year, he wanted to stay with us. We helped him enjoy his football again.

Another statement of intent from Levy & co. Signing big players. Bit quiet from that lot down the road now...

Source SSN: We have agreed a fee with Man City for Ade. Personally I think this is a good signing despite other peoples views and if we can get another top class striker along with Moutinho (although he will be costly) when Modders goes we are looking good for the start of the season. I did predict a while ago we were looking at a Portuguese International player as Ed may be able to confirm but i didn't know who till a few days ago.

The only other name I'm hearing of is what everyone already knows about and thats the goalkeeper Lloris but I'm not sure this will happen.

Does anyone think we need another right sided player due to Lennons injuries? I love lennon when he's fit but we don't have anyone to fill this void of any quality.

I hope AVB will prove the doubters wrong and as a Spurs fan I will love and get behind the team this season and hope we can win something.

The Matrix

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Dos santos can cover lennon

Spurs Lad

Agree6 Disagree2

Remy would be a great signing because it solves out striker problem and can play on the right if needed

Spurs and Man City have come to am agreement for Spurs to sign Adebayor. one ST in hopefully another one or two to follow!

Haymaker

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Remember Coulibaly!

Agree0 Disagree1

Remember coulibaly is 17 and not ready yet

Agree4 Disagree0

Only 17. i recon if he doesnt go out on loan he'll get a few ganes on the likes of Europa league and maybe a few cup games but he deff wont be a full time starter. Not ready yet but i hope he'll be a cracker player when older though!

Local source. Spurs showing 3 new players around the new training facility, no names as yet, will post names when I get the info.

Believable0 Unbelievable8

How will we know its you, Anon? And not someone pretending to be you, with this local source? In fact, how do you even know this is me? Even I'm unsure.

Vorm to WHL in straight swap for Bassong. Laudrup wanted Caulker on loan again but Levy refused so offered Bassong in straight swap for keeper. HP good sauce

Believable3 Unbelievable3

This totally makes sense. Swaps are a regular occurrence in football with lollipops and not cash being the only other acceptable way of acquiring players. Why do so many guys believe the business of football is exactly like being back in the playground? Sigh.

Agree4 Disagree1

Well it'd be a good signing getting vorm, but i agree that it doesn't sound realistic as they are pro players not panini stickers

Agree2 Disagree1

I doubt it mate. Lloris is coming; thus unless Vorm wants to be a backup keeper, it won't happen!

Agree1 Disagree0

Lloris is not signing,FACT!
