Ed's, I am hearing rumbling that spurs are interested in signing Chirstain Erikksen, from Ajax although this in itself is not surprising I am hearing a fee of 12-14m being quoted is there any truth in this?

Also any news on potential striker options, seems to be a few good players reportedly available in the summer, Lewondoski, Llronte, Higuain and a few others plus the old one of Damaio, are we interested in anyone? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester City, Roma, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Spurs, Inter and AC Milan have shown some level of interest in Eriksen in the past year or so. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan and Spurs remain the most interested clubs. I would not rule out Bayern Munich, Manchester City or other previously interested clubs regaining interest in him - although I would say that it is unlikely that Inter or Chelsea would be interested. Back in July the Milan Press Office were convinced of interest from Manchester United and they have let it be known that they expected a bid to be made by for Eriksen. Expect Milan and Roma to press if a bid is made by Manchester United and I remain in agreement with them that there is every chance of that happening. The player remains adament that he will stay in Amsterdam for18 more months before moving to Spain but would likely jump at the chance of a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona if the opportunity arises. However, Ajax will not let him run down his contract so a move beckons in the summer. The player will see out the rest of the season at Ajax and see if he can attract attention from Spain.

Dortmund's Lewandowski was watched last year by Liverpool, PSG, Real Madrid, Rubin Kazan, Manchester United, Spartak Moscow (who were concerned about losing Welliton), Juventus (albeit they have another player for the summer instead), Arsenal and Lille. Chelsea have considered Lewandowski but I don't know of any bid being made and there would not have been a bid anywhere close to the 35M euro Dortmund valued him at last summer. At present Dortmund and the player have been unable to reach agreement over a new deal and they probably won't. Whilst there is no agreement in place for him to join any other club, it is very likely he will move to Manchester United in the summer.

Llorente will be moving to Juventus.

Higuain will likely be offered to Spurs as part of a deal for Bale.}

We are in need of a top left back. Ekotto is just not good enough. For what he does good is undone time and time again from poor position and at fault particularly in away games. Unfortunately Walker seems to have caught this bug this season. The striker situation is still infuriating. Is shocking watching Adebayor and now even Defoe cannot score and is doing more for the opposing team. If only we had the strikers our domination of matches would be reflected in more convicing victories.

If you bring in real quality you see the results. Vertoghen and Dembele are quality additions. We should be looking at the same with a couple of new strikers and at least one top full back. No point in signing these second rate short gap signings like Dempsey or Adebayor.

An excellent comment on previous text below, when Lennon was injured why not try Walker in that right wing position with his blistering pace and perhaps in future Kaboul at full back.

we need 2 top class striker. who can play in pivotal role of 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
leondavaski. is a top player. if we could get him for 15-20 mill. he is a steal. prooven goal scorer. out and out sriker. will hit atleast 20 goals per season.
we also need another striker. youg. cheap.

we also need a strong DM. I don't understand. what's parkers position. he sometimes confuse me.

LB always remains a priority. bennito. is awful.

if w could sell adebeyor. defoe and trim otehr wages.
we could afford them.

y do we need errikson. if holtby was bought in?

Lewandowski is statistically fantantastic with amazing dribbling, shooting, heading, ball control and positional awareness. A real menace upfront with real predatory instincts, and in additions possesses superb acceleration, jumping and physical strength.

In the weaknesses department he is about as good a Didier Zokora from the penalty spot, tackles slightly less than Berbatov, crosses like Ruel Fox and has dead ball skills of Scott Parker.

I believe he is exactly what we need, and totally agree at £15-£20m would represent an absolute steal. Probably the best striker in the world in a true 4-2-3-1 formation. Of course there are better strikers like Messi, Aguerro, Van Persie and company, but as a stand alone prospect I cannot pick one with the all round solitary skills of Lewandowski. Perfect for the AVB vision and young enough to take this team to glory.

Personally, I would sell my kidneys and my left testicle to raise the funds to buy Suarez. Liverpool are skint and, I don't doubt, that the owners would sell any of their players over the head of the manager to reduce their debt. I've not seen many better than him, he is proven in the Premiership, Liverpool would be in the poo without his performances this season and he would fit into our style of play without any problems.
So there.

I wouldn't want modric back or any players real madrid offered to us. They are hardly going to sell/swap their best players. Damaio won't be coming to spurs either. We will qualify for champions league and keep gareth bale and add a striker. Tottenham don't need to spend much to improve the squad. 1/2 players max.

We need two new first choice full backs and a new first choice striker for a starts then could do with a quality winger option and creative cm

You only have to look at our bench to see how thin we are squad wise in terms of quality

If we want to sustain another top four challenge and compete in the CL next season 1/2 players max just isn't going to cut it.

I don't want to lose Bale but the likes of Modric, Higuian and Coentrao coming in would give us greater strength of depth. Real will be making changes in summer and there are possibilities but whether we could interest those players is another matter

Hopefully we can keep Bale but it will mean targeting cheaper options but there's some excellent comparatively cheap players that we could sign like Clasie, Morata and Griezmann {Ed008's Note -

Would like to see the following come in:

Capoue
Eriksen
Negredo

Spurs would not have to spend a fortune to get all 3. Spurs would have great pairing in Kaboul & Vertonghen at the back, and Sandro & Dembele in the middle. An attacking 3 of Lennon, Bale and Eriksen behind Negredo would be immense. Walker has the potential to be a class full back but just needs to do a bit of defensive work. It feels like he has been around forever but he is still young. BAE could be replaced positively, would like to see Alvaro Pereira (even though he had a shocker last Thursday) and believe there was rumours of a swap deal between Inter and Spurs. He is physically cut out to play in the EPL, and has the speed to make up for positional mistakes. And is great going forward. And has played under AVB before.

Adebayor, Dempsey, Huddlestone and Gallas to leave at the end of the season.

Its all well and good suggesting that we get this player and that player BUT can we afford to pay the wages that they are on? One or two big names, maybe but some people are talking about three or four big name signings and I just don't see where we would get the money from to pay them.
