Worst case scenario for us this summer is for the fa to do the unthinkable and not offer HR the job, which will leave us in real limbo, potentially having a manager who wishes he was somewhere else. If they do offer him the job we are clear either way, he goes, we move on; he stays, and commits to improving again. I'm certainly not one of those who say he's taken us as far as he can (despite these three results the season so far suggests we will still finish top 4, and we are favourites for the fa cup) however there are mangers out there who can take us forward. my vote would be moyes or benitez. people on here continually cry out for a tactical manager, which benitez is, and we also criticise HR for not rotating the squad enough (a possible reason for dip in form lately) which benitez has always done. i know a lot of people don't like him but he won two league titles with valencia and the uefa cup and produced the most attractive liverpool team in recent memory before alonso left, he would also be able to attract a higher caliber of player than moyes.

I like bielsa at bilbao, but there's the whole ramos possibility again, and his system, even though it looks great now, would take some time to implement-meaning a largely mediocre first half of the season

Jurgen Klopp has done a great job at BD but I don't think he has enough English, if any and I think that could be an issue especially given the way he seems to communicate with the players. His style of good man management and boosting players confidence does tend to require the language to get his style and message across

I'm a lifelong Spurs fan! But have also supported Dortmund for many years now and have been to games at the Westfakenstadion. Klopp is a superb manager. Young, energetic, honest, hardworking. He has assembled a very resolute and free flowing young Drtmund team looking at back to back titles. He would have my vote any days the week to succeed HR. I personally feel HR has lost it at Spurs. The last 3 games have just demonstrated his lack of tactical vision...playing players out of position and making wrong team selections/substitutions. Don't get me wrong he's a fantastic manager and a great players manager.

Not Moyes either, much as I admire what he's done at Everton I don't think his style of football would suit THFC. When was the last time Everton put a team to the sword playing flowing, exciting football? No, I can't think of a time either. Saturday evening was a typical example, grab a goal against a more talented team then defend resolutely, I don't think Spurs could play like that if they wanted to. As a left field suggestion what about Juergen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, has assembled an exciting young team, recently got Dortmund their first German title in a while, got a small team like Mainz into Europe earlier in his career and about the same age as Mourinho when he first came to PL. Any thoughts?

Not Benitez he might have had some success years ago but look at how he left Liverpool. Moyes yeah a good manager who could well shine with a decent squad and a decent transfer budget. Experienced, pragmatic, honest, seems popular with the players but also seems someone who will not suffer fools gladly. Benitez on the other hand no lets give that idea wise berth
