List of players who need to go sooner rather than later:
gomes - i'll drive him myself
huddlestone - not producing, time to cut losses and we have better playmakers in our radar
Parker - hes good but while he still has resale value
Gallas - showing his age
Bentley - gtfo
Dawson - if he can get 10m, wouldnt think twice about it
Jenas- his time has passed
Friedel - don't need him anymore

So assuming 20k a week pper player thats 160 a week, which is 8.3m a season(low estimate)!
.... Come on levy time to clean house

Daws and parker good squad players good back ups you need that in the modern game. Same as friedel.

I did think about my post. Did you? Obviously we would need to make sure we have cover before making the sales.

I may never have mentioned getting a lindegaard type, but thats what we need a young hungry solid backup. Not a pensioner like gomes or friedel

Parker and Dawson I struggle with letting go but we have options on our radar that are much better and would render them useless.

I will clarify, I don't mean right now with all the names I mentioned. I do agree we would need cover for Daws and Parker and GK before letting them go, but I think their time at this club is over, not up to our new standard

Not a rumour, just a bit of banter. All this talk of Damaio is gathering pace again, why not put in a bid for Lewandowski from Dortmund? I know they still in champions league so deal would be unlikely but would show intent of us moving forward and would guarentee us a top 4 finish. Personaly would rather see him as he is proven in europe and would be around £20m, same as Damaio. Any thoughts?

Forget Damiao, go for willian and try bale out as a strike partner for Defoe. He has pace, strength, composure, good in the air and an amazing shot, the perfect centre forward.

Bale up front, good joke. I think that people seem to think that football really is like fifa and you can just put players where ever you want on the pitch and they will perform. There are too many things wrong with that to describe but it would be interesting to watch our left side collapse and the team having no width.

I'm very interested if anybody ITK thinks we really will be prepared to spend big on a Damaio, Willian or Moutinho type signing now? It seems to me that the Moutinho deal chaces were slim to none on the last day of the window but we were 'Levy'd' into taking our eye off of Rafa being flogged at the last minute and ultimately let down with a cheap Dempsey gazump (i'm still very unconvinced by him, Sig might improve and be decent, not sure Dempsey will be any better than what we've seen).

Anyway, with several key injuries, some indifferent results and the loss of world class players, we have managed to find ourselves 3rd/4th by January and this time surely Levy isn't going to risk bombing Champions League chances yet again without trying to nail it with a quality signing that may be all the difference and pay for itself if we qualify? Harry situations and the players losing the plot plus Chelski freak results cost us last year but, Saha and Nelsen were hardly a statement of intent in January were they.

If we were to make just 1 more signing this transfer window, then I hope it is Younes Belhanda from Montpellier. I know we need a striker, but maybe with Adebayor off to the African Cup of Nations it's time to see what Coulibaly can do at senior level...? If I was in charge this is what I would do. Call me skeptical but I have a bad feeling about Damiao especially if we have to pay over the odds for him.

This could be the window where we sign Damiao. Not to many other strikers available and the fee is still good considering his potential and age. Coulibaly I would love to see more of. Though we could use dempsey or siggi up front both would be happy playing there. Hdds to go..livermore on loan..offload jenas and bently to god knows who.

Just a thought fellow yids, how would everyone feel about a bid for Fulhams Haangeland (excuse spelling) as a covering CB, he has in the past been immense for fulham, admittedly he has gone a bit stale recently but a move might re-invent him.

Just a thougt but if we can move Gallas on and if Dawson moves would be an ideal back up?

Subotic would be the man to come in and let gallas go if I were levey but iam not so probably won't do anything with cb position.

If Gallas and Dawson move on we might need more than a covering CB, only have Verts, Caulker and Kaboom's knee to fill in ...and we've been using Verts to cover LB for most of this season it seems.

Well heres what I would love to see from the rest of this transfer window.

INS:

Bring in Lewis Holtby NOW (£1.6m)
Then a new striker, The damaio deal seems to be gathering pace so fingers crossed. (£18-20m)
Then a very contraversal move for Modric on Loan
A new CB not sure who maybe Hummells(£10-15m)

Outs:

Gomes (£3-5m)
Bentley (Free)
Livermore (£2m)
Gallas (Free)
Parker (£4m)
Dempsey (£4m)

Total Spend £16.6m - 21.6m

I feel if Modric and Holtby signed in Jan then Parker could go whilst he still has market value and the same can be said a Dempsey. I think if deals like this can be concluded in January then a top 4 spot should be well within our reach this season.

Demp is getting better and parker is perfect to bring on and see a game out, which AVB loves to do! the team looks settled so too many ins and outs at this stage can alter the dynamic! if livermore and gomes etc go then fair eough but we need to get the balance right!

No way sell dempsey he is now settling and scoring and we shall see more of him rest of this season. He now looks happier too. parker back up for sandro. livermore on loan janus bently gallas gomes can go along with hudd.

I have seen a few people saying we should cash in on Parker now. This is crazy talk considering we are chasing a top 4 spot! what IF sandro gets injured? I pray he doesn't however parker is the only man to step in! whats 4m when you consider the prize at stake not to mention the cup comps we are still in!

You are crazy to think we will sell Parker and Dempsey.

Parker is a terrific player who brings in experience to see out games and also to get stuck in.

Clint is a great player. He just needed time to settle in new system and club!

Don't be so deluded.....Dempsey needs time to settle in?? ha this is a Pathetic excuse used by Spurs fans. Almost 30, been playing in the prem since 07 and you want us to give him time to settle in? This excuse can only be used for foreign players. top players like Van persie don't need time
to settle in, nor does aguero, Tevez, Carzola, vertonghen, Dembele And why........because they are quality players. Dempsey is an average player and that's all he is!

If the opportunity is there to sell and replace him with a better, younger player you would do.
Dempsey or Damaio?, Dempsey or Jovetic?, Dempsey or VDV?, Dempsey or Eriksen?..........

Dempsey, huddlestone, Jenas, bentley, Rose, Gomes are players that can be replaced to make our squad stronger.

Dembele, Vertonghen, Bale, Lennon, Lloris, Kaboul, Walker, Sandro are all irreplaceable.

Can you see the bigger picture now?
