well glad to see we r starting to turn things around and play some good stuff also to all the people slagging off defoe personally don't think it is any coincidence that we start wining when he plays and he may not lethal but to say soldado had more of a chance of scoring as he has been anything but lethal and has missed a lot of opportunities even though service has not been good and at least defoe is getting into scoring positions but also thought dembele and Paulinho are starting to look very good as is kyle walker who I thought played fantastic hope loris gets his form back as I believe he is the best in the prem what is everbody else's thoughts on the game?

Thought it was a very solid performance, should've have been less of a nail biter but like you said atleast we was getting into scoring positions. Did you see how many times we got into their box? Something we've struggled to do this year. Agree with the comments of the players just add to that how good Holtby was as he doesn't get much recognition for the work he puts in (could be bias as I rate him so highly). Saying that though it was only Sunderland and they are bottom for a reason. The true test is against a Liverpool side who are looking amazing this year and scoring for fun. We are back on the up COYS.

Can't argue with 7points from 9 but you have to keep being realistic and constructively critical to improve. I think the positives are:
We're definitely creating more chances in the past 3 league games, we had a ton against Newcastle at home as well and, we actually had a couple early doors against Man City but there's no way we can take any positives out of that fixture. Overall, we're creating more.
We've had some really key injuries in the past couple of weeks and still managed 7 from 9 points after a real battering at City. That shows some decent depth and resolve too, particularly when we'd been behind twice - can't knock the application or attitude of the players.

Concerns and negatives (let's not get carried away):
We have given away some very soft goals - United have gone on to prove in 2 games since playing us that they can't even score at home so, the defensive lapse and kamikaze Lloris challenge gifted them a point at WHL. Because it's Utd it's a 'good point' apparently but play the team not the club-name, they were there for the taking and even though Rooney was excellent they hardly created a thing except the goals we gave them and a Chiriches slip up.
Lloris blunders - can easily get to be a problem picked up on and intensified, look at Joe Hart. Hopefully just a blip but he's got a bit prone to these costing goals in the past few games.
Clinging on - ok you'll always concede some chances against any side and can only beat what's put in front of you but, Fulham definitely has us on the rack and we got lucky, then Sunderland were let off the hook because we failed to convert so many chances and could've nicked a very undeserved point.

It's back to the early part of the season again, picking up results without playing at the top of our game and hoping that can carry on until we really click. It went wrong once already, it needs to go right this time from now on because otherwise it could mean being out of cups and out of touch in the league by the middle of January. A huge 5-6weeks in our season is coming up.
