Tonight's game shows us that Bale is better just staying left wing!
Giving him a free role doesnt unterlise him properly and he is wasted.

Yidddoooooo

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Agree completely ....
It worked well what ? Once ? Twice maximum ... But they were poor teams .... We can't have him anywhere but the wing .... Also i say whilst the win would have been great we can take solace that we had the draw considering
No vdv , Lennon , Defoe ... And kaboul
Vdv's attacking play was sorely missed ... As with Lennons pace ....
What did people think of Saha ?
For me didn't get much time on the ball to see what he can offer ...
But back to the original post ...
Agree to bale not given a free role

Agree0 Disagree0

I kinda agree, he shouldnt have been given a free role last night. with injuries etc he should have been playing a more discaplined role that said someone has to win the game and much as i love him it isnt ade at the moment. i thought with most of out attacking prowess out we did really well

Gareth Bale is a disgrace to the game. Disgusting dives all game.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Good. Go away and cry scouser. Go and find a goalscorer.

Agree4 Disagree9

He does dive a lot!
And is far better wide left than a free role

Agree7 Disagree1

Bale a discrace, half a team out, suares should have seen red the same colour red as the blood or bae leg. amd u still coudent beat us

Agree2 Disagree2

And Martin Skrtel never put the boot in

Agree0 Disagree1

'Good' that he dives? Lol you must be a Spurs fan. Looks like Harry is teaching his team how to swindle.

cozinoz

Agree4 Disagree0

You go on about bale jumping about last night but steven gerrard is a possibly the worst in the prem for going down too easy, its laughable to see how selective your memory is. come monday morning the gap could be 14 points........stick to your jokes guys

Agree1 Disagree1

And you lot have Downing ! nuff said , the worst player to play the game of football ever ...FACT , how much £ ? lets all laugh at the deluded dippers !

Much Love

Agree2 Disagree1

Im a spurs fan, I dont like Downing, but 'worst player to play the game of football... FACT' really?

Agree3 Disagree3

In all fairness we still have one of the worst players in the prem on the books ....
2 in fact in Bentley and JJ
But he did cost them a rediculous amount for how average he is

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep , the little mummys boy is the worst ! Amazes me how he got an england cap ! Only good thing was , it wasnt us that forked out about £19 million pounds too much for him , good old kenny , 3 top class english players , 3 other clubs rich and in heaven

Hope levy and Arry are watching , god do we need a decent centre forward and cover for the wings ! Hate to say it but nico is to slow and isn't up to it !!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I thought nico played alright ... But I really don't see him as a wing player...

Agree1 Disagree0

Niko was awesome defensively, but unfortunately liverpool pressed us so hard no one could really create anything, especially not niko, one of the slowest players on the pitch

Liverpool lost to a team of underage kids in the Nextgen and then blackmailed Tottenham into pulling out! How low and desperate can a team get? How can underage players be seen as an advantage? Its like banning a snooker player for cheating whilst he is tripping on acid. {Ed001's Note - actually it is a huge advantage, simply because Liverpool have a number of underage players they would have loved to put in the team. They were not able to because they abided by the rules. If your staff are not professional enough to abide by the rules, then you can hardly complain when it gets pointed out.}

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Lovin it Ed001 some people just dont like the truth

MJ

Agree3 Disagree2

Ed - its hardly fair to put it like that and make it seem like they did it intentionally. Everything I've seen has suggested Liverpool had nothing to do with it and that it was a simple misunderstanding at executive level that was smoothed over when we realised and pulled out. That article in the mail (I think) that said we were annoyed at liverpool over it was just trying to sensationalise a nothing story before the big game between the senior sides! {Ed001's Note - I wasn't saying that, I was just saying it was ridiculous to have a go at Liverpool because of an error by Spurs. The clerical staff needs to sort themselves out, it is such a simple thing and they should have checked and double checked it. Shame really, Spurs had a big opportunity and you never know when these kind of things will come around again.}

All i keep reading on our spurs site is comments from gooners or scousers, going on about history . yeah you have all won trophies, but so have spurs, and thats not forget the first team to do the double, win euro cups etc, but that aside thats look at the present, spurs are a team in the
asendtancy while liverfool and arsenil are in the desendancy, these are the facts guys, and whether or not harry goes, whoever comes in will have a kings ransom at his disposal and a very special team so to all you liverfool and arsenil fans go back to your own sites and cry to each other cos your only trying to score points on our board, practise getting some in the league

THFC4EVER

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Have arsenil ever won a european trophy..i dont believe they have..never will either..liverfool live off your history cos you got no future.

Scot parker 30, ledley king(amazing but f***ed) 30, brad friedel 40, defoe 30, adebayor (loan) and can't afford his current 'full' wages come next season because of your wage strucutre, modric-has he signed a new massive contract? chelsea will be back come summer.....and finally gareth bale massive respect to his development but he freely admits he will go abroad. that's the spine of your ascendancy. as an lfc fan who has grown up appreciating good football i would love to see spurs go on and win the premier league infront of manchester x2 but ascendancy is still questionable?
p.s, player for player i would honestly rate your 1st eleven infront of ours so anyone screaming bitter lfc fan, far from it, i think you're a joy to watch. just think ascendency is getting a bit carried away given the age of the spine of your team. good luck tonight, it should be a great game.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ahem. Scott Parker - replace with sandro who will be better in 2 years time and is only 23. Ledley King - replace with caulker, kaboul, or even vertonghen if we buy him (we could easily). Brad friedel - goalkeepers are easy to get, we'll probably get krul in the summer. Defoe and Adebayor - first off defoe is not the spine of our team, he is very much second choice to van der vaart who is younger. Its also very easy to get a big cf to play on his own. Llorente, Remy etc. Modric may not have signed a new contract, but the reason we could keep him in the first place is because he has 5 years left. Do you think he would go to chelsea if they finished 5th? very real possibility. Bale, will definately stay one more season, and almost certainly two. The reason we haven't spent any money is because we are stockpiling cash for the new manager in the summer when redknapp goes to jail/gets the england job. That has us set for at least the next 2 years by which time only an person would try to predict where teams will be. Who'd have thought a couple of years ago that spurs and man city would be challenging for the title? And while were on this subject, two of your best players, bellamy and gerrard are older than all of those mentioned above! So I think ascendancy is a perfectly reasonable way to describe it, and your arguments are all invalid.

Agree1 Disagree1

'probably get krul'? yeah and ashley will fly him down for nothing too as he's generous like that!
sandro will never tie parker's laces, can't be bothered to argue that point. loic remy isn't good enough, end of. and didn't you already get knocked back for llorente, it's pretty common knowledge that spurs and lfc were heavily fighting for his arrival...both to no avail. he hasn't been interested in leaving spain.
as for modric, football has changed. money will eventually turn his head and i wouldn't blame any foreigner for leaving one english club to another for an extra 100k a week, it's not like they live and die for the shirt like local players may want to(adebayor is a pure example leaving your arch rivals for 200k a week). footballers are a changing breed and i'm afraid to say unless your club and ours finally agree to pay extraordinary wages then we will be a constant shadow behind the finances of man city, chelsea and the income man utd.
as for kaboul/caulker in regards to king? that's sheer stupidity, the stats tell spurs fans how great he is when he is in your team! his talent deserved so much more than his knees allowed him and he's one of england's greatest but unluckiest player's alongside gazza. irreplaceable.
as i said spurs are stronger than lfc right now but bringing gerrard into the arguement is pointless as he has barely played for a year and we have still progressed in that year. as for bellamy, he like ledley king can only play every other game, he has only been at the club for 6 months and has only played since suarez's ban so no real point there either. we are improving while reducing the age of the squad and your fate lies in who eventually comes in and replaces harry and how long you can stop bale from fulfilling his ambition.......

Agree1 Disagree1

I was never denying anything about King's legacy, I am one of his staunchest supporters! As a supporter of another club you haven't had as close a look at who we've got potentially coming in as spurs supporters. Caulker is ridiculously highly rated over here as the next big thing, and anyone whos watched our games will know how good Kaboul is getting. Perhaps the cf's that I used as an example are not the best, but there is no denying that when a club as big as tottenham doesn't make a marquee signing for 2 years its clear they're saving up for something when a new manager comes in and wants to make his mark. Again, with regards to Sandro, as a Liverpool supporter, how can you claim to know more about our players and how good they are than me? You say Krul wouldn't come, but then go on to say money talks, disproving your point! sure he wouldn't come for nothing, but we are hardly paupers and could afford the 15m that Ashley (a spurs fan who in general sells cheaper than expected) would want. Here's a scenario for you. We finish 3rd this year, and liverpool 4th. Redknapp goes to England, and we get in Mourinho (just speculation, insert another manager if you want). We then make a marquee signing for him to make his mark and augment an already brilliant team, with the added bonus of champions league football, which would mean we would be pushing for the league. Tell me thats not fulfilling bales ambition?

Agree1 Disagree2

NUFC are in the process of preparing a new contract for Krul so expect him to cost a lot more if you do try to come in for him. Even Ashley can work out that if De Gea can move for 20 million, Krul will easily be worth more than that. Also Krul has come out and stated he doesn't want to leave NUFC.

Agree1 Disagree0

I didn't think you was 'brilliant' last night(as you described them) and thats before i even begin to start. i thought that a team so close to the top could of played a much more counter attacking game with such pace in the team that you have but you just didn't come for much more than a draw. it was 2 fairly even matched teams with both clubs having 2 of their strongest 11 starting players not in the squad (spurs-VDV and lennon, lfc-enrique and lucas). you may add kaboul but i believe dawson will eventually keep him out the team and for us, suarez had to start on the bench-not match fit. a realistic fan would admit we both started with 8/9 of our strongest possible 11.
as to my simple process of sandro not being good enough it was made by the fact that you chased parker all summer! a great buy i freely admit it's just a shame for you spurs fans and us england fans that it's taken so long for the lad to be recognised at such a late age. he was immense last night.
as for ashley, he is in the process of developing one of the youngest, strongest squads in the premier league himself and krul will not be allowed to leave any time soon, don't fool yourself. add to that de gea's value, if he did leave then you're talking easily 20million plus, kitty wrecking figures.
as for stock piling cash, have you actually considered the fact that like the rest of the league spurs have to conform to the new rulings and can only spend what they earn under financial fair play. i think you are looking at spurs and their cash flow with a slightly rosy view! harry had to reduce the squad and wage bill(like lfc have) because the books aren't adding up! the owners of both clubs are cash rich i agree but the rules aren't allowing either of us to frivolously blow it anymore unless it's spent on youth development.
as for mourinho arriving, a dreamy scenario of the highest order i must say. you also have to consider this, history has a nasty habit of repeating itself. in itself the downward spirals of bournmouth, west ham, southampton and portsmouth after harry's departure should be considered. people put it down to finances but the players run through brickwalls for the man. i'd be hugely concerned if you couldn't find another replica manager to get the same out of the squad. as a final note, martin o'neill is the closest thing to him but he's now gone.
don't think i missed much else.
good luck for the rest of the season by the way.

Agree2 Disagree0

You have zero chance of landing Krul .

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with your Redknapp comments, going to be very difficult to replace. Kaboul has looked as good/better than Dawson this season, awesome in the air, lightning quick and concentration is improving and needs to stay that way. Don't get me wrong, Daws has been a rock at times but is still slow and usually looking better because of Ledley alongside him (mind you who wouldn't be). Yes we have to play by the new financial rules and have spent quite a lot in recent years but not very recently; only Sandro, VDV, Pienaar and Parker are signatures of note in over 2years and all cheap, some junior movements and players out/loaned. In that time we've finished 4th and 5th for prize money, made the Quarter Finals of the Champions League and pretty much sell out every week. We have a season ticket waiting list (£5 fee to join it would you believe!) of over 35k. Champions League football is a very real possibility again for next year as well which would be more revenue. The issue is the new stadium and raising funds for that, will it be mostly borrowed or will there be an effort to make up to a silly £120-150million of it from selling Bale and Modric and trying to 'start again' !? Very tricky call to make as if team goes in decline in the meantime then what will be the need for a 55-60k seater stadium, catch 22 and understandably very difficult for Levy.
This year with a bit more luck the title was possible, most things even themselves out but the goals allowed against and disallowed for against Stoke, Chelsea and Wolves have all stacked up and Man City's Balotelli debacle was the writing on the wall. Levy couldn't really commit in the transfer window with Harry's trial going on and a very real possibility of him serving time if found guilty. £300million and some luck makes City champions, sickening to hear them all playing the victimised card already - they've spent all that money and still aren't exactly great and claiming their hard done by and not buying the title! Their Champs League failure was put down to it being their first attempt....well same for us last season without 4/5 x £30million+ strikers on our books and without an average wage bill of £150-200k+ per week!

First time on for a couple of days after operation and thought I had come onto a comedy site , or something from the past ! I see the curly haired shell suit brigade are dragging up their past triumphs again to try to boost themseves before the game . I thought it was the gooners that liked living in the past , but after all the money wasted at the shed called anfield , they are desperate enough to cling on to anything possible .
