Vertoghen. Has not become a bad player but a player who is unhappy and feeling it most was outstanding untill as S.I.T.D states Sherwood took over .There all Good players at Tottenham just not managed correctly soldado great player great touch and can be deadly in front of goal like the rest of our players not played to their strengths . Can anyone tell me if harry had them for six games these players would not be better . Awaiting response, Sherwood talks the talk and I think he has conned levy . I hope not but I think the club may go down the path of Sherwood disjointed disgruntled are the players and so are we the fans .

Bobbybox, you're right he hasn't become bad overnight, but you can see that for weeks now he hasn't wanted to play and the injury at liverpool was a joke. IMO let him go and rot in the reserves and put his world cup chances at risk, see if that changes his attitude.

I think he has give up because of Sherwood some people need leading and we have no leader, too lead on or off the pitch, his form coincides with Sherwood's appointment its obvious there is problems in our changing room you can see that through Vertoghen, doesn't mean he wants off I think he does. Not thrive in present regime as do many others come to think of it . Maybe he knows sherwoods dead man walking or worse knows he is next years manager in which case yes he is off.

So Mr Vertonghen, looks like your Barca move isn't a given anymore. Will you bother turning up for us in the last few games or, planning to save yourself for the World-Cup-Shop-Window?

The lad is gone one way or the other, clearly doesn't want to play for Spurs anymore and gave up pretty much as soon as Sherwood took over! In my opinion was never injured at Liverpool just didn't fancy it so for me one I would make an example of.

YOU DON'T GET YOUR MOVE SON, ROT IN THE STIFFS UNTIL YOUR CONTRACT ENDS OR ATTIUDE CHANGES, just my opinion

Just drop him for the rest of the season, let Vlad or Milo get some PL experience. 7th is preferable to playing Europa again next season for me. I'd rather watch Utd and or Everton try to cope with it.

Totally agree about making him stay - player power is a joke when fans like us paying our £'000s to line their pockets are left disrespected so badly. I can understand him being frustrated by the junk around him but, no excuse to lower yourself to that. The second he started hobbling I knew he was going to go off, very questionable whether he was really that injured because of how he's acted lately.
Also, stats speak for themselves, Europa League hinders teams, particularly in year one if not used to it. Manchester United and Everton in instead of us will give an edge over them in the league next year, hence why it would be brilliant if Woolwich $cum dropped into it.

I agree that he should stay, but show him some sympathy. Saying he should rot in the stands because he's disillusioned about the club he works for I think is going too far. I'm sure we've all had jobs where we got a new boss and then we became disillusioned and did not perform to our best. Especially when that boss publicly calls you lazy and untrustworthy (although not by name, but in a passive aggressive way).

With a new manager I think he can get his head back in the game. After all aren't most of us also feeling the same as him right now?
