Was proper positive yesterday, now it's back to same old spurs

Just got to stay positive for 1 more day, we have already had a decent window really (last Jan we did nothing, the window before that we only spent 5mil on parker, this window we have spent about 40mil on 4 good players)

But we have lost a class player 2

If we don't sign 2 more quality attacking players we will not finish 4th, probably not 5th. No way will we have the balance or cover to sustain a good enough campaign. Goalkeeper cover ok, defensive/holding midfield players we have, goalscorers.....not enough.

Another transfer window full of high hopes and reported signings of world class strikers and another window with none, surely if we had no hope of getting these players why not go for Berbatov or Carrol or Dempsey of Fulham

Yes my hopes are higher would love Llorente or Falcao or Hulk but we can't and won't pay 150,000 - 200,000 per week and rightly so. Surely Berbatov and Dempsey are better at the moment than Harry Kane

I like how at the start of the season everybody is say "on levy we trust" and levy is great. Then no signings for a while had people start saying levy is a joke and needs to go. Then we sign dembele had he is a genius again but 2 days later when we don't sign someone the comments start coming saying levy is rubbish.

He has made some great signings and is obviously trying to do the best for the club, I know we sometimes miss out on big signings but I'm sure if levy had the money to spend he would at least he tries to get quality players. I think that people should at least wait till the transfer window is done (in my opinion we have already had a good transfer window- I was especially pleased with dembele!)

I fully agree .... However I've always been firmly in the camp of DL .... The guy is a genius when it comes to buisness ...
I believe people get worried and stressed to see others strengthening and us not strengthening key areas so they panic and worry just a thought
Even if this is it for signings im happy we have signed very good players and I think stronger than last year if the window closed this second

i know theres 1 day left, but Levy will have dropped a b ollok if he does not get at least 1 more forward in. stumbling starts from Arse and Liv, chance of top 4 still alive, but with only defoe and ade up front it spells trouble.

So much bluster of Hulk, Remy, Mourtinho,llorente - if no one big arrives i want answers!

Hi my fellow people and yidettes,I don't think we will sign anymore players ie Lioc Remy and lloris, due to Remy price tag of 15/17 million and lloris price tag is 12million and people saying that we after moutinho 24 million levy will not pay ova 15million gys and girls so I just think this is all talk like the kaka talk from last transfer window :(

? Whats happened to the Llrois deal then? and why will Moutinho not happen, there have been very strong links with him signing later today or tomorrow, Eds no anything on the likely hood of these deals?

Fiorentina president released a statement saying that berba flew to italy on a flight paid for by fiorentina. And instead of signing a contract, went to juventus to have talks with them and then flew back to have talks with Fulham. What a see you next tuesday. No wonder saf doesnt want him.

I have to say, while not happy with Modric antics this summer (or last), After watching the match tonight, I think he is definetly a fit for Madrid. His first match he gets to play in the Super Classico, and win and hoist a trophy. Although he came off the bench with only a few minutes of play, he had a great first touch and given more time, his creative play will have a big impact for Madrid. I also enjoyed seeing him embraced by Ronaldo after the match. Yes Modric wanted to leave Tottenham and that sucks, but I believe he will go down as one of the greats who played for Spurs.

I dont believe he will. Because of his antics over the past year or so. Once his head was turned by the Chavs last year, he was never the same player, for us anyway. Would you say Berba was a legend too then?

He will NEVER be a legend at th Lane, Legands are players like Ledley King, players who give their all and stay loyal or at least leave in the right way inspite of all the money being waved under their noses. Modric was an outstanding player for us yes, but legend def not.

I never said Modric was a legend but will be one of the great midfielders to play the game. He has been a key to Spurs success (as have the likes of Bale, Ade, Parker Freidel, etc). Modric never has spoken out negatively about the club publicly (unlike Charlie and others). You have to also ask yourselves how much of the negatives have been played up by the likes of The Sun, Mirror and other daily rags. Modric left on good terms with the team and his Spurs teammates have had nothing but positive things to say about his character. All this being said. My original point is that Modric will go down as one of the great Midfielders to play the game, he played for Spurs, and I was happy to have him for the time he was with us, we would have been a very different team without him. Comparing what Modric did to Berbatov is a bit of a stretch. But at the same time there is no way you could compare Modric to the Legendary performance, sacrifice, and dedication of Ledley King for Spurs (I will admit that indeed would be an insult) so my apologies if that is how my comments were construed.
