We may of won but yet again we are pathetic. No tactics, our players look all over the place we have no shape to our team. Half of them are clueless. Even with ten men they looked more compact than us. It really is painful to watch aswell as embarrassing. There is no way Sherwood is good enough to manage or coach us, he couldn't wait to bring loverboy Bentaleb on could he.

Also, when we went 3-1 up our players tried showboating and tried to play like Brazilians which didn't look clever, why didn't we carry on as before surely Sherwood should of told them to carry on as before.

Another slow start, but at least we didn't wait until the 80th minute to create our first shot on goal. There is definitely talent in the squad, but finding the tactics and line up to allow it all to come together seems to be eluding TS much as it did AVB.

Agree0 Disagree0

It feels like we need 30 minutes for the players to remember we're not playing under a rigid AVB system. First half was shocking, players standing still and not stretching the oppo defence made them look better than they were. We up the tempo and we look like a different team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bentaleb was a good chocie to bring on when sandro was signaling to the bench he needed to be subbed. give TS a chance he had to play open to try draw dnipro out else it would of been a 0-0. if we played compacted and shapped like they did we would not of scored.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if that was us playing open, please let's shut the door! We were slow, dis jointed, lop sided . Didn't Sherwood learn from AVB about playing wingers on the proper side! If you play 2 forwards, you need two wingers, not a winger one side and an attacking midfielder who strays in behind the forwards!

Sorry Tim, you got it right with Eriksen, but Townsend, no and we have no width on the left . Eriksen is playing behind the strikers, and the strikers are getting in each others way .

{Ed008's Note - Everyone now starting to see how overrated Townsend is?

Most people always saw I think Ed. Although the silver lining is that he once got around a full back and did deliver a sweet cross in. Maybe it was a fluke, but I'd rather he were doing that than cutting inside.

I'm just shocked that Davo managed to post something without slagging Dawson off.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed008's Note - He's very average for me predictable with his all round game when playing from the right, really needs to start on the Left from now on to see what he can really do their's a reason he was loaned out so many times..

Wulf, you must be a family member, I think most spurs fans agree he is no longer good enough for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausspur - unrelated as far as I am aware. But what I am aware of is the difference between judging a player as no longer at the same quality as he was / his team mates (to which I agree), and slagging someone off every game needlessly.

Ed - I agree that he needs to start on the left and that he is average. But I'm also willing to accept that he may be looking worse than he is because he's playing on the right not the left. If he was on the left and kept things simple by using his pace to get into crossing positions I think he'd look better than he does currently. I actually laughed out loud when his commentating namesake said he was dangerous when he cuts in on his left foot. People remember the one goal he scored doing that for England and forget the million (I may be exaggerating here) times he has done that for spurs with zero effect.

Hoping he gets a couple goals at the WC so we can sell at an inflated price. We can afford to lose a midfielder and we know the areas that need to be strengthened.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wulf, good god I agree with your Townsend comments .
As for Dawson, I only slag him off, as well as a lot of others for that, because he plays and very badly at that! Yes he has given his all for us in his time at the club, but his level now isn't good enough! If he doesn't play I can't slag him off, if he plays well then I will praise him, ( not much chance of that ), and if he performs as normal, then whatever!
Still, we both want what's best for our team so let's agree to differ . If you was picking the team from a full squad, would you honestly pick him?

Just one question, can anyone answer this?
When playing for England Townsend takes players on, gets to the byeline and try's to cross, why the f**k can't he do it for Spurs?
