Dare I say it ex chairman sad for Mr Moyes should of been given more time love sugar but what a hypocrite after stating A V B was useless did not want to give him same, probably put a couple of nails in his coffin, We are slowly by the media being drip fed, Mr Moyes for spurs been leaked by spurs sources to let us down slowly and get used to it, all to familiar Mr Moyes good steady manager but not a spurs Man . If u see this Levy out of all the wannabes' and give us a chance personess . Would rather have a safe pair of hands an a spurs boy at the lane who is not a Arsenal fan, Mr r Glenn Hoddle is our man no one out there is worth a punt with freund as no 2 Hoddle knows spurs, tactically excellent and knows what how we like our football great coach and deserves another shot . Coys under Hoddle anything else is complete gamble Levy .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Levy wouldn't get Hoddle back, no chance.

The manager Levy wants is De Boer, he will be our next manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoddle achieved nothing as the previous Spurs manager, and does not have a great track record in coaching. It's easy to be captain hindsight on the TV and sound like you know what you are talking about, but doing it is another story.

Hoddle would be a huge punt - when was the last time he achieved something with a big club? How would he be any better than Sherwood? What evidence is there to demonstrate he is a great football coach?

He was a great player and I have a huge respect for him, but wanting him as manager is narrow vision. We have to be more ambitious than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wulf

You are so right mate. Hoddle was a useless manager, has not got a clue. He could nt motivate anything. Great player terrible coach. No way he will ever be on the bench at WHL

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes would be a total and complete disaster. WHY WHY WHY is Levy considering this guy. When did they ever finish above us up til now.

I am so sick of this Club being run by someone who has no concept of what type of person is needed and keeps appointing men woefully not skilled enough.

You know what, I would rather have Tony Pullis manage our team that Moyes or any of the others being mentioned at least we would stop leaking goals week after week!

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris, partly agree there mate! I would rather have Pullis than TS or Moyes too!

Hi Eds

Do you really think there is
any chance that TS will be retained?

Do you believe the club is hellbent on change whatever?

Because were we to beat Stoke and West Ham and Villa ( Not likely I know) Then TS would have reached 72 points, equal to what AVB reached WITH Bale.

Can someone explain to me why? we seem so determined to sign either a known head case or a proven failure as our head coach?

LvG is well known to have serious issues at previous clubs, is elderly and has never managed in the Prem and why do we want someone for whom Spurs are not his first choice?

Now the web is on fire with talk of Moyes to Spurs. Another AVB if ever I saw one. OK maybe he was given a bad hand at Man U. But he has never won anything of note, qualified for the CL once and got knocked out in the Quals. Levy reported as gagging for him.

Why does this club aspire to Dross. How many more rubbish coaches is Mr Levy going to visit upon us? let's face it his track record to date is terrible.

I know TS is not perfect BUT I believe that if we get back the excellent players we have on loan and let our ragband Baleites have another season we might just surprise a lot of our critics and our own fans.
What good is yet another close season of disruption going to do to benefit the fans or the squad?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There was never any intention of Sherwood staying beyond this summer.}

Eds 02? Why? What was the point of offering him (TS) a longer term contract if there was no intent? Just a wind up then?

Levy knows he's inexperienced so why keep messing about?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It was so that the fans would stop bleating - I told you a long while ago that Sherwood was simply a stop gap to the summer. This should not be a shock.}

Chris, you are right, TS is not perfect! He can't man manage top players, he has a fixation with the younger players that he coached even though he knows they aren't good enough, he has a fixation on British players ( fair enough ), he can't keep his mouth shut in public, probably picked that up from Arry, he can't change tactics when needed, his substitutions stink, his high back line is destroying our team! If this isn't so, then why are our players looking for a way out!
You also have a fixation on our loan players returning, please tell me who we should look forward to retuning with anticipation?
Levy needs to get his thumb out of his A**E now, sort out this managerial situation urgently, so our players know who is going to be leading them! It's no wonder they want to jump ship when they know that TS and his dodgy decisions might be at the helm!

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent loan players?!
What on earth, is Bale only on loan? Maybe Modric, VDV?
Livermore might end up steady/ok as a squad player. Carroll seems to be rated but not even impressing in the Championship and is tiny, Ekotto - give me strength. Holtby maybe but he never actually did a great deal for us, people like him and he has promise but it's far from being realised to an Eriksen or even Dembele level yet. Even Siggy delivered more.

Agree0 Disagree0

TS is killing the squad morale. You notice how when things go right for us TS takes the glory (playing Adebayor), and when things go wrong he blames the players (too numerous to mention).

And was bringing Ade back a master stroke of his? Or is it more likely that Lev told AVB to play Adebayor and that is why AVB left the club, so Levy found someone who would play him? What exactly has TS done to make Ade score all those goals?

We had a glut of goals after AVB left. People hailed TS for it. But since then the goals have started to dry up. Can we conclude that the more time TS has had the worse we have gotten? What exactly has he achieved?

On the flip side he plays people that are not ready (Bentaleb who is often 3 seconds behind the game), he plays people out of position (too numerous to mention), he has no idea about the tactical side of the game, and at least Harry was a good man motivator. TS has lost the dressing room bar the couple of kids he has given chances to.

Verts doesn't want to play. Sandro is making public comments. Eriksen is laughing at him.

Yes spurs don't have any mental strength right now. But that comes from leadership, and leadership starts at the top. You believe you are going to win when you believe in the people leading you.

But then TS was only a stop gap. He didn't want to be a Benitez caretaker manager so Levy popped an extra year on his contract (when was the last time a manager was given just an 18 month contract, look at Moyes who was given a 6 year one).

The reason we could get 72 points again is because we have a better team this year than last. Last year we struggled to get any goals at all in the 2nd half of the season, bar one guy. This year the danger comes from more places, but it is our defence that cannot cope. The big difference is that last year we took points off the top teams and dropped them to lower teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Wulf, why is it so hard for people to see the damage TS is doing?

People point at AVB as the cause, but didn't hear too much about player unrest under him and the defense with a couple of exceptions held firm, with the exception that other teams may have been slow to realise its failings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of negative about TS and I can't understand the attitude.

At the end of the day he is the coach and he has a team of guys. He has a lot to learn I accept that. So what is wrong in bringing the younger players through how are they going to get experience? Look at Bale, he was a nightmare most of his time at Spurs but we kept faith with him.

Carroll deserves his chance and the young lad at Millwall who my Lions mate tells me has done so well. Fryers, Livermore Pritchard, we have talent but it has to be brought on otherwise we never going to find out if these guys have what it takes?

We can't keep on shelling out for players who are just no good.

I want a manager like Sherwood, who does nt keep his mouth shut who gets stuck in. I work hard to buy my ticket and I think I deserve better. As far as I am concerned Verts is not interested let him go to City or Liverpool and screw them for £60 mil or more and loris, he is over rated big time. We should get Krul.

Rose, we tried him and he's a liability let him go. Really don't think Naughton has got it and totally agree about BAE .

We do have a lot of great talent but we have to take a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris, you say you don't understand the negativity towards TS! Have you watched us recently? Are you happy paying to watch the dross being served up because I am not!
TS HAS LOST THE DRESSING ROOM! and I don't mean the directions to it! Players like Sandro, Vert, Capoue, Soldado don't lose it overnight . They lose it because they lack faith in the manager, they are played out of position, the tactics are unplayable, the list is endless . Many supporters of other teams looked at us when we brought these players with envy, so what's gone wrong? The managers that's what! If TS a problem with one or two players fair enough but he has managed to split the whole bloody lot of them! You say sell Vert, there seems to be a lot of TOP TEAMS interested, if he is such crap, then what's the interest? Sell Lloris, over rated? Once again, if he was up for sale then a lot of TOP TEAMS would be there with their cheque books! Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see the cause of the problems at our team, it starts with Levy and ends up firmly in the hands of TS . Levy was on a no lose bet when he brought in TS, if he did well, brilliant, if he cocked up ( which he has ) then just a stop gap manager!
I don't know the answer or who we need, but as a supporter of a PL top six team, I know for one that its not an egotistical person with no experience of handling top foreign players, who has ARRY's habit of not being able to keep his mouth closed in public . I want a manager who doesn't think he is bigger than the players or the club, and who can work with the club and all employees instead .
Rant over!
PS, sorry a bit more!
You talk of our good loan players returning and giving them a chance . I agree that we need to bring our youngsters through, but NAME some of our loan players that you think are good enough for a top six PL team . We have two at the moment that feature in the team or squad, neither are top six players, but were coached by TS . Livermore isn't good enough, Carroll could be but is he setting the Championship alive, don't think so! Obika, do me a favour! Isn't he 23 now? 2 years older than Lukaku, same age as Benteke, I know who I would have!
