Rijkard is one of the highest paid managers in the world around 13ml a yr he's on, Don't waste your money putting a bet on him taking over.

I have been waiting to see if the press picked up on Hodgsons interview when he said that following HR sacking he had sent a text to HR and hadnt had a reply

Nothing you would think strange in that other than under oath HR said "I can’t work a computer, I don’t know what an email is... I’ve never sent a fax and I’ve never sent a text message

Can people stop posting rumours about Hulk, he is valued £40 million, we couldnt spend that much on one player.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Spuds couldn't sign David Banner let alone Hulk. Try the Penguin or the Joker.

Real Madrid always get Marca to do their dirty work when they want to sign someone, eg Modric. Levy will win and get what he wants. Marca and R Madrid good luck with Levy you will need it.
There is no chance that Levy will accept anything below 40m. He has 4years left on his contract which is as good as a new contract.
I hope we sell the lil sh@t, i will never forgive him for last year. Lets cash in and spend and move on.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Yes levy does play hardball in regards to transfers..but that cuts both ways you can price modders out of a move to another club but do want a player who is not going to give 100 percent?
this saga has been ongoing for awhile ..cash in modders while u can cause he aint worth 40 mill

Word starting to filter out is that non qualification to the CL plus pressure put on finances through hugely increased wages over the last 24 months and the continued need to budget for the new stadium means that the board are facing a huge dilema in terms of transfer funds being made availabe.
Two distinct views emerging in how transfer activity to be financed.
The first is to sell one , two or maybe even three of THFC top players namely Bale, Modric and Walker the other to increase borrowings something that is not popular at all.
Although no manager in place like most clubs THFC have a player wish list many are slowly but surely committing to other clubs and once the 1st July here many of those previously identified will have already committed or in the case of a couple whose value has increased at The Euros.
The manager will have a little say but the real possibily exists there will be little activity untill quite late in the window. Listen out for the new manager to roll out the phrase " I want to assess all the players here and give them alll a chance before I make changes"
I dont think people have quite grasped how big a dilema the club faces nor do I think people realise how much the real cost of a player is when you take into account agents fees, signing on fees, accommadation costs and thats before you even get to their wages.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

There is no point talking about financial realities, people don't want to hear.

I think we should sell Modric and Bale for £50m each and sign Messi.

Over the last 24 months, the wage bill has remained pretty much the same, with signings like vdv balanced out by the sale of big earners like keane (on the wage front). Also, the club wouldn't specifically budget for cl qualification, so don't expect that to come into it. All in all, the situation is no where near as bad as you believe

Agree2 Disagree2

The club are at a croosroads and all this talk abou the vey top players coming is no more than a pipe dream.
Harry going was more about him talking to the press and not being able to keep things "in house"
I wonder if Spurs have had their 15 minutes because I cant see how the fans can expect anything more than mid table unless someone digs deep

Agree2 Disagree0

Wake up , apart from pimp myself to anyone who will listen Arry , and Ade , and Corluka who was on loan anyway , we have the same players as last season who finished 4th . We dont have to sell , and if we do its on our terms , so why the long faces ? Are you all feeling a little horse ? Ha , ha , get it !
Seriously , as fans we can do nothing except put black bags on our seats , so wait till we see what Levy has up his sleeve ! ( no gooners , not his armies ) . Its not the 1st July yet so no-one can sign anyway , just promise things . Cheer up fellow fans , things will get better !!

Really must dispute you comment that wages have reamained about the same. In 2009 the wage bill was £60 million that jumped to £91 million in 2011 in reality since 2005 when the wage bill was £33 the wage bill has just about tripled. Also in the same period despite massive increase in revenue the club went from a surplus to about a £60 million deficit.
Its back to the point without CL income or furher indeed increased revenue and with higher wages the club is faced with either increasing its debt base or selling its players.

Hi Eds Reading alot about AVB,Blanc and now Cappello whats tacking Levy so long to make a decision. I know alot of people dont rate AVB but what he did at Porto was quit amazing (underfeated). AVB likes to play attacking football (the Spurs way) in a 4-3-3 formation, lets face it Cappello is to old and poor english Blanc would be good but surley we need to sort out asap and France could go all the way and then lose to England in the final.

Please tell us whats going on

COYS {Ed001's Note - Levy wants the manager to have limited power, no manager wants to come in and have their hands tied. It was the same issue at Liverpool, the board ended up giving in, to a large degree, to Rodger's wish to have more control. Levy will have to concede ground too, I feel.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I can't see how a manager can have a vision without having control of transfers, I do agree there should be people in place to discuss but overall it should be the managers decision! If this back fires on Levy then he must think about telling Joe Lewis to sell up.

Agree0 Disagree0

In SAF and AW you have probably the end of the line in terms of managers that wield near enough total power at their clubs. When these two are pensioned off then that will just about be that. Most elsewhere in the world the dont have managers they have coaches and either a DF r Sporting Director.
The business of keeping on top of all matteres football including contracts, scouting management, fitness aspects etc is much too big a job.
When it comes to transfers that really is no longer the domain of the head coach, yes they may well draw up a sieable wish list but in the main thats where their involvemnt ends.

Robert Green today officially signs for QPR - proof (if any more was actually needed) that oracle knows bugger all.

Green, Damiao and Vertonghon sign for spurs on July 1st was your latest BS. Thought I'd forgotten? unfortunately for you, i havent. 1 out of 7 if your lucky. Tick tock oracle, tick tock.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Who is this oracle? it seems from what i've read he looks up to mystic Meg.

Saint.
