Why don't we try for RVP at £25 mill he is in budget, proven goal scorer and although I doubt he will sign might be impressed by our ambition... COYS!!

Believable3 Unbelievable3

You spuds are deluded, he says hes leaving us to win trophys, so why would he think of going to you?

DL should start the process to sign Jack Butland Monday morning, he had a great half game performance against Brazil.

Forget about Lloris. Butland was brilliant tonight. He will only get better as he matures. I would pay whatever it takes to get him.

Anyone who says that Jack Butland aint old enough needs to think again! We should be offering big money for this lad, he could be our goalie for 15years. Forget Lloris he is nothing compared to Butland.

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Just saw Butland for team GB and the lad looked top notch great saves would be a brilliant signing for the club and def think he could hold his own as first choice keeper

Agree6 Disagree0

Butland has one season of professional football in League 2 and half a good game against brazil. Conversely Lloris has proven himself to be arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the world, consistently the best gk in ligue 1 and captains his national side. Yes butland is good, and may go on to be a great player, but to say Lloris is nothing on him is laughable

Agree3 Disagree6

I for one never said that Lloris has nothing on Butland. What I was employing in my post was that Butland is brilliant, he is young, will only get better and he should cost way less then Lloris.

Do not want Leandro, I repeat do not want Leandro at spurs! The most over hyped average player in a long time. Just my opinion but I think there better realistic targets out there! huntelaar anyone?? COYS

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I'd like him, but he's said not interested ...so if we did get him it would probably only be a matter of time before we had another Berba or Modric situation on our hands. Don't get the impression AVB and Levy are creating a squad for that.

RVP is a quality player and both the Manc clubs want him so why dont we put the £25mill they are after and show our intent?? NOT SAYING HE WILL join our club but worth a try as he is pure Quality......... {Ed008's Note - Tempted to delete this but watch the hate come in

Believable3 Unbelievable3

There is always one. I just feel sorry for the main poster, he needs help!

Agree2 Disagree1

We got more chance of swapping stadiums.
Can't believe they would Ben take the time to write that post

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with you. Pity you did not sign your post. We are talking about £38 million for Hulk/Falcao etc when in my opinion RVP is better then either. Table an offer for £25 million and see what happens. Gooners might sooner sell him to us then to sh--y or United. He would be awesome for us.

The Don

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes he is a quality player. It makes me chuckle really, all those Spurs fans choking on their toast at the mere thought of signing a Gooner YET would welcome back Berbatov like he is somesort of long lost son, forgetting of course, that he royally f****d us over to get his " dream move" to the Mancs. Hey, if we dont mind Berbatov having to rough it by rejoining us.....
RVP? Tell you what, If we had secured Champions league Football this season, he would have been worth a bid, he is World class and, personally, I dont give a flying f**k that he played for them, that would be another good reason to cherry pick their best and make them look even more inferior to us.
Supr Y*d

Agree6 Disagree2

Ben = even lol

Agree0 Disagree3

Even more inferior?? In what universe have Arsenal ever been inferior to Spurs....never

Agree0 Disagree1

Never? Course they have!!! In the eyes of all genuine Y*ds the Gooners are inferior to us!! Whether that is factually correct or not is absolutely not the point you dummy! My point was about additional psychology. If we took their best player, it would send out the worst possible signal to the Gooner massive that they were losing their best to their most hated foe. Now , im not sure what part of that would not make you feel psychologically inferior ( If you were a Gooner) but anybody that didnt would not be human. Fact is we wont be signing him so its all hypothetical. The real fact tho, is that the Gooners will, yet again, lose their best player.

Hi arsenal fan I was just wondering how you picture the spurs line up if everyone is fit.
And I also just wanted to say that Ledley has had a great career and probably would have been a starter in the england team if he did not have injuries.
Also what do you make of the Modric saga.
thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Nice to see mr wenger posting

Agree2 Disagree0

With no more signings, the squad probably lines up like this:
Friedel
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen BAE
Sandro Gylfi Huddlestone (Modric if he stays, or his replacement)
Rafa/Lennon Defoe (or Ade if he signs) and Bale
433 with rafa and bale as wide forwards and 3 of sandro, thudd, gylfi, rafa (as a sub) livermore, modric (if he stays, or his replacement) in the middle

Hi all,

I am an Arsenal fan but I just wanted to say that you should be immensely proud of what Ledley King has done for your team over the years.

He is the epitomy of the word loyal and will always be regarded as a legend in not only Spurs history but also English football history.

If he had stayed clear of his injury worries, he was without doubt one of the best, if not the best, centre backs in the country and it is a shame his career could not be prolonged.

He is Tottenham's equivalent of our Tony Adams, a captain who would put HIS team before anything or anyone else.

Good luck this season, sure to be a great one to watch.

Glenn

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Thing is if he'd been fit he'd probably be a man utd or barca player by now. For the start of his career at least he was far too good for us

Long time reader/1st time poster. Why is everything one banging on about us signing adebayor the guy is toilet! I watched every spurs game past season with the exception of 2,3 games and I was not impressed by the Togo Peter crouch. Yes he ran he socks off but for what? Poor 1st touch, gave the ball away every other pass, poor finisher he is not what we need. I no everyone will go on about how many he scored set up etc but his chance to goal ratio is shocking for us, JD wud have scored double. If we want to be up there. Hallwnging then we need to look at sum1 like lorente, we seemed keen on him a season or 2 ago but it's all gone a bit quiet on that front. Well I'm glad adebayor is showing what a money grabber he is at the moment, if he truly wants to play for us then he will take the pay cut! Come on u COYS

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Cos he will only cost about 9mill (after signing on fee). He had prem experience, and with Defoe, they will be our only senior strikers.
Good bench warmers for our £30mill striker lol

Agree2 Disagree0

9m which wud b better spent on sum1 of quality. If we can now afford 2 pay 100k a wk wages lets get sum1 who is deserving of it. I have no doubt if he is to sign then he will not b as keen 2 run his socks off as he did last season.

Agree0 Disagree1

Who else would you sign for 9mill?
Not someone with the experience or quality of ade.
That figure is perfect for a 2nd striker (which we need IMO)
If you name me better for that figure, I will whole heartily agree with you

Agree1 Disagree0

Demba ba? Berbatov ? Mayb spend a few more million & go 4 sturridge?

Agree3 Disagree1

Demba ba is most overrated player in the league. He went to pieces when he got some competition.
DL will not go anywhere near berbatoss, he received too much bad press when he left.
Sturridge, chavs will not sell to us. Not a chance. Will be a lot more than 9million anyway He is no better than Defoe anyway, greedy, selfish, self opinionated.
So, anyone else

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you think no one has done the 7mill release clause for demba ba? He is not worth it.
My opinion, injury prone, fell apart when not top boy.
Ade and demba ba not even in same bracket. Can u name ba's clubs?
Def not real Madrid, ars nil, man city, us

Agree0 Disagree0

Not, 3 above still not better than ade. Sturridge would be no where near 9 million to us. Berba off to Italy (rumoured), demba ba dont want him anywhere near us, Another one not near good enough for our shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Demba ba proved his quality in the 1st half of last season & with the same service as Ade got he wud have scored double. Wat about a cheeky bid for little pea, united don't seem 2 want him?? But please please not the overated mercenary adebayor!

Agree1 Disagree1

Even after going 'off the boil' he still scored more than ade

Agree0 Disagree0

AVB says he wanr full marketing price for modric the fee is believed to around 40 million - 50million

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Get lost is he worth that!

Agree0 Disagree2

He's only worth about £20 million. Badly overrated. Doesn't score enough goals and does not do many assists.

Agree1 Disagree2

Gooner alert !
And RVP is worth what ?? End of contract , nearly 30 , will give you two dozen used tea bags and a bin to put them in !!
Davo

Agree1 Disagree0

Does not score goals or many assists. Neither did gianluigi Buffon but he cost 50mill.
Goals and assists aren't his game. He makes teams tick. Runs the midfield and controls the pace of the game. Spurs fans would know that. He I not worth 40 but not worth 20 either.
Typical gooner. Brainless

Agree1 Disagree0

Technically a player is worth whatever the club values them at ..... End of story
