Spurs Fans!

What Happened Too Souleymayne Coulibaly?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

His still in the youth squad, he was sent on loan to a serie b team for the end of last season. But hopefully this will be his break through season and be better than kane and Obika

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe he has struggled in seriea b and not established him self as a first team regular.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe the team were bottom of the league and for the life of me I couldn't work out what he would learn there. We need to loan him out to a championship side if he is not going to be used this year so he can learn about English football and also get a chance to impress.

Williams of Swansea looks the part, 10-12m would be bargain and good cover

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That would really stick it to the gooners. they've been talking about him since june. do we really want that? just saying we could do better and not deteriorate our relationship with arsenal fans any worse than it is. Besides it would really be rubbing salt into their wounds following our string of brilliant signings, 2 summers worth, and their nothing this summer.

The schalke defender papadoupoulos at 15m euros is a better buy for me

RY

Williams good at team like Swansea we need a better option, shawcross subotic, kjaer.

Right Here it is from the horses mouth,

My son goes to a play with Bale new born baby and she has quite clearly if I understand the Goo's and Gaa's properly said that Daddy wants to go to Spain but not right now maybe in a year or 2, when I am older.

But on a serious note, It is obvious that Bale wants to go to Madrid, but I believe that despite everything that is going around Bale will stay for at least 1 more season. He is the focal point of the team, a team that is improving fast, a team that is building as we speak, he has to know that the grass is greener at WHL for now. that's all be honest he will go but not now IMO.

With Paulinho, Chadli and Soldaldo already signed and Bale staying, another 1 or 2 signing (CB & Creative Mid) next season will be interesting, we will have a relatively settled team, whilst Chelsea, ManC and Man United all have new managers and LeArse have signed no one of note as yet, I firmly believe that the league is wide open and is going to be the most interesting it has been for a while and we will be amongst it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed. No reason we cannot keep Bale for another year. As you said a CB and a creative central midfielder and we have just about put all the pieces together for an exciting year!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can give several very good reasons why bale will not stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Go on then, don't just say it do it!

I follow a few different spurs community websites, one in particular which has a section for people supposedly connected to the club (im sure there are a few others on this site who know the site I mean) they are all saying the same thing, that Bale isn't going anywhere.

I haven't got a clue who to believe, papers with an agenda to sell, the supposed people 'in the know' who probably love the attention, RM who go about their business in a despicable way or Levy and AVB who will want to get the best price.

I just hope it ends soon so we can either spend the money replacing him or avoid further disruption so the lads can settle and get ready for the start of the season.

I think we have done great business so far 3 quality signings, Caulker was a strange one which we will need to replace. But all in all i'm excited about the new season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe this is the way the partnership works, possibly they already know the deal will be next year app 85 mil. He has another good season he goes for that we make champs league and see some of theirs in return. Politics in football. Bring on the games!

All this crap about Bale, will he or won. t he, tbh, I wish he would go, somebody said tha Soldado, had no experience outside spain well Bale has no experience outside England, will he cut it, I don't think so, we should just forget him, and build a team without Bale in it, at the moment we are going in the right direction,

COYS,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed so bale worth no more than 50m

Im a saints fan but really like spurs, and just wondering what the consensus is on Bale and whether you guys would be happy to take 80-90 mil for him or would rather keep? Also who would you like to see that money spent on? Suarez?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we did sell bale for 80-90m I definitely wouldn't spend 50m of it on Suarez, especially now that we have soldado. I would go for either Eriksen or Lamela or both as they would probably both cost around 20m

ED can you tell me the situation with coulibally. i'd like to see him given more chances any idea on what's happening?

Ant {Ed008's Note - I would think he would be in the reserve squad until January maybe some game time in the Capital One cup then he could be loaned out in January or promoted to the 1st team

I remember a poster on here saying we won't spend over 12 million on a striker well welcome saldado

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great signing, let's all just hope that it wasn't done with potential future bale funds.

Lots of different opinions about if we would be better or worse without bale. Personally I feel that selling him might reep rewards in the future, but if he stays for another season will will be far better set at the beginning of this season and imo have a better shot at top 2/3/4

OFFICIAL

Spurs have announced that everything has been agreed to sign Roberto Soldado and the move should be completed subject to a medical.

WE HAVE A STRIKER!

Hopefully Bale can see we mean business and we can push on. And if he goes, we'll replace him. We are looking more balanced than the last 6 or 7 years for me so far!

Dom

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dom,

We ain't going for 4th place now me old son. Another 2 world class signing & we'll win the f***ing league. ha ha.

lol get real. soldado has never had any experience outside of spain, for 25 million for a 28 year old is just a huge risk, I like the player to be honest but I can't see him doing as well as he does in spain.

maybe i'm wrong.

winning the league is a step too far, champions league maybe, man city and chelsea for top two. then I honestly believe its a straight fight between man united tottenham arsenal and liverpool for the next four spaces, and it will be tight.

we will see.

Kinsmann was 30 when he came to us and scored 21 in 41. He didn't have any experience over here when he signed. Suarez had no EPL experience. Berbatov, Modric, Drogba, Aguero, Mata, Oscar, Fabregas the list goes on for foregin players that came here with expectations and excelled. So I'm happy to take my chances with Soldado. I don't think AVB, Baldini and especially Levy would've spent that sort of money on a player they weren't confident could cut it in the EPL.

I still like Liverpool are a season or 2 away from breaking the top 4 again. I think a few more signings of quality and if you can keep Suarez then you could be looking at challenging the top 4 in a couple of season, but at the moment, I think your fullbacks, right wing and another striker need to be looked at.

Dom

YAWN

that being the case why were you chasing him then ha ha another player prefers us and all you can do is whinge please go back to your own page and discuss the dispicable suarez

dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Had Torres any experience outside of Spain when you bought him?
Reina? Alonso?
Speculate to accumulate my son.
We are proof that you don't get anywhere by just sitting on your hands like in previous windows.
You have to take a chance every now and then, like you did with Carroll and Henderson and £60million.
Enough said really. COYS

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see the straight fight between arsenal, utd, city, chelsea and spurs but where liverpool comes into it I don't know. I am more wary of everton than you lot. I mean come on

Agree0 Disagree0

Dom, none of those you mentioned were old when they came to EPL and they ALL needed time to settle in.

Hi, Eds

i just wondered about what possible replacements there could be for bale e. g. lamela, fischer, etc {Ed001's Note - Chadli has already come in to replace him wide, so he could play more centrally. So it would be more likely a forward, who could provide cover out wide, so maybe Viktor Fischer would be a good shout. Personally though, I think a move will be made for Eriksen, just my opinion though, because he has indicated interest in a move to Spurs previously. Since then, he has said rather too much about other clubs, but I would still think he has to be an option.}

Ed's can you confirm that there is a buy back clause on the caulker deal, a great young player going to waste in my opinion. {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry. It wold be uusual.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This coulda very clever (again) by levy.
Apparently, there is a buy back clause if Cardiff get relegated.
So, if they get relegated and its a big if, we can get caulker back after a season of premiership football and it wint be for £9million. If this is true, it's also very devious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol i've never cheered for a club's relegation before. I guess there's always a first time for everything lol

This should probably be in the banter section, but here goes:

If we sell Bale for whatever the amount + Morata, and we then turn around and buy at least of couple of players (hopefully one of them being Lamela), then I don't think this is that bad of a transaction all told. In fact, if we can turn Bale into Morata, Lamela, and one or two other highly rated players under 22 or 23, then I think we can potentially (key word, obviously) come out ahead.

And look further on the bright side: Arsenal can't seem to figure out the transfer market and Liverpool is still a train wreck.

It's all tosh. Bale is staying

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Open your eyes, he is leaving us for £87m. It's a great deal in fairness as long as we get cash up front.
