every body i speak to is doom and gloom regarding thfc/avb.
i dont get it.
avb has the potential to be one of our most successful managers ever,he seems to have a touch of class[unlike barrowboy harry who's started the inevitable sniping thru his media luvvies] and some passion.
sure, his media interviews are a little hard to unravel at times but he seems like a determined, focused manager which is a positive in my eyes
give the guy a chance, you never know ,you might be surprised!
bucks/spur
You've got to love the passion on the touchline as well
Yea did he well at Chelsea!
Although HR should keep o ut of it the 70 page dossier prior to game will go over the heads of most of the players.
Yes you need to prepare but you can take that too far and we will see i the next few weeks if he and the players are able to take the club forwrad.
For me I wont put any money on it working out
I know I should be optimisitic and give AVB every chance to prove himself, but I am finding it hard. For one thing, there already seems to be unrest in the squad, with Huddlestone, Lloris and Adebayor going quasi-public about their concerns.
The performances have been poor. This is the easiest start to a season we have had in many years, but one win and two home draws is not much of a return.
More importantly, in the two home games AVB has had to abandon his system in order to get a goal, but then watch as the team lost its shape and gave away chance after chance. Having dominated the first hour in each case, we were lucky not to end up losing both those games.
AVB's preference for an ageing, slowing, Gallas over Dawson also worries me. It smacks of ego. Having pipointed Dawson as someone who doesn't fit his system, he doesn't want to be proved wrong.
I fear we will soon look back on Harry's time in charge as a Golden Age for Tottenham. In fact, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him returning by Christmas.
I very much hope I am wrong and I will be happy take everything that other Spurs fans can throw at me if I am.

Perhaps it is match fitness as well, hence why Abebayor and Huddlestone have not featured much this season also.

KM - Whilst your entitled to your opinion, your post is exactly the kind of stuff that is not needed at the moment. Where have Lloris, Adebayor etc voiced concerns? The Media spin every word they can to make it sound how they want it too, and seeing as they are fond of Arry, they will continue this vendetta against Spurs, just so that if they get the chance they can say 'we told you so'. They are 2 faced s**m, look how quickly the papers change from supporting Labour to Tory and vice versa, whowever is wining, or from being in favour of Fabio Capello as England Manager to against him or how they handled the Hillsborough tragedy and failed until now to apologies for these errors and the lives they affected. FFS ignore the claptrap the tabloids spout and get behind your Team, Club and Manager. I like you have been dissapointed over the 2 draws, but any new style will take a while to gel. As for the Golden Age of 'Arry.... really? I thank him for the CL year he gave us, but that prat would have walzted off to the FA as soon as the judge said 'not guilty', had the FA not come to their senses, and whilst the players must hold some responsibility for the lose of form last season, Redknapp must shoulder a large part of the blame for our lack of CL. Granted he couldn't do much about the luck of Chelsea, but all the other stuff that went on from Spurs persepective was mostly he's doing, and to top it off, the golden age of Arry was highlighted by the Aston Villa game, a game we were dominating, a game we needed to win after the dropped points, and would have left 3rd place in our hands (subject to beating Fulham) When we were drawing 1-1 with 10 men, do you a) go for the win or b) take off VDV and put on...... parker and try to consolidate the point! Tactical Genius that Chap!...... Sorry for the Rant, just fed up with the section of Spurs fans writing negative comments all the time. COYS!
