Davo, I had Ian Ayre in my cab last Crimbo. He introduced himself as liverpool CEO. We chatted about football and chairman and signings. I joked about players we 'knicked' from under their nose, then I mentioned Erikson. He said they had looked at him but for £8/10 million, was too much of a risk for a player that only plays once in every 6 games. Bet he eating his words now. I read they have been linked with a £30+million bid for him this week, paper talk mostly. Did make me chuckle though. By the way, he couldn't speak highly enough about Levy.
