Simmo my friend, are Dawson and Walker not part of spurs first choice back 4? thought so, so by my reckoning that would make the number of back 4 player missing for you and us = 2, unless of course you play 6 at the back? I didn't disagree over spends I just pointed out in the last twenty years we have won a lot more than one cup, finished higher than you (except the last couple of years). Your right it is December and things may change, but when you get pasted at home just accept it and try not to slag the opposition, that makes your arguments look daft!


Crafty Cockney and the rest. you boys do realise we were missing 4 first team players yesterday, Enrique, Stevie G, Agger and Sturidge and yet still managed to make your expensive team/squad look a very poor team. Just thought I'd clarify that little point for you.

Not 4 first team players across the defence alone though was it?!
And, as for expensive squad, pot and kettle or what - Liverpool have spent fortunes in the past few years and look how long it's taken to finally look decent and be high in the table. However, it's December, not April or May.

Why don't you have a quick poll on here as to who thinks Dawson is even our 3rd choice CB if all are fully fit? Kaboul and Vertonghen all day long and for me it's Chiriches next, Daws getting slower and more exposed all the time - AVB was happy to sell him. Rose would be left back or Vertonghen so we had Walker as ONE first choice member of back 4 then the above FOUR players missing plus, Naughton then went off injured as well.
We've finished above you for the past fpur years. I didn't state anything that wasn't true mate, you have a higher net spend for a few years and this season Man City, United, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton have all changed managers or had a big influx of new players - big upheavals. Liverpool and @R$enal haven't and are fairly consistent compared to that group but hardly miles ahead of them.

Oh, and as I also spelt out in black and white that Sandro (one of the best DMs in the league) hobbled off early then Paulinho (remaining DM) was sent off on the hour mark when it was only 2-0. Yes you were worth it but, tactically AVB has had it wrong, he's changed the team constantly and had all that to contend with in this fixture as well. More a measure of his ineptitude and the extreme circumstances as opposed to Liverpool suddenly being majorly superior as a club again. Apart from bigger wages and spending more you have nothing but history over us for now.
Let's also remember that you only have the FA Cup and League to play for as well so, not even had fixture pile up, we played Thursday and many extra midweek games already (because of finishing higher than you again).
