We did play well but need to stop conceding late goals.

Agreed. If we were a bit more clinical it would have been a rout. Defoe was a nice surprise as well

Hi all.. Just spent £88 on a spurs kit for my 3 yr old... He wore it for about 3 hours and it looks a year old bobbles and fraying... Anyone else having the same problem with there kits.. When to get an exchange and was told it's wear and tear ( and it was bought from the spurs shop )

I have brought my boy and me kits this season and it just seems to be the boys/kids kit that does this, as my tops are fine, but I returned my boys top to the shop with the receipt and got an exchange, the second one has done the same thing just not as bad, just wash it inside out and it lasts a bit longer. Not impressed tho because its alot of hard earned money to spend on a top that looks old and scruffy after 1 wash.

I have been hearing a few rumours from a friend of mine who works at WHL (as I have previously mentioned) She has heard, that several senior players and staff have already had enough of AVB and his lack of inter-person skills. She has also gone on to say that AVB has a clause in his contract that allows DL to sack him if europe is not achieved this season. How true any of this is I don't know just passing on what I hear, however she has no need to tell me crap, so there may be some truth to it.??

On to todays game Vs Reading (a bit pi**ed off that I couldn't get there today, bloody work!!)

Obviously hoping for 3 points, and in all honesty would probably been somewhat of a gimme based on last seasons start not meaning any disrespect to Reading, however since every game this season has got progressively worse, I would now take a 1-0 win with a 91st minute own goal and a more positive performance.

I would start with a 4-4-2 formation, but think AVB will go with something like 4-2-3-1, with 2 of the midfield 3 dropping in when we are defending.

Hoping the starting line up based on the 4-2-3-1 will be:

Llrois, (I know Brad has been good, but this guy is the future for another 10 years and is the france number 1 and captain)

Walker, Caulker, Vert, Naughton

I have chosen Caulker, as he is young quick and hungary and IMO Gallas is to old and slow to perform the high line that AVB likes. Also I have gone for Naughton as I believe he is going to be a fantastic player and feel he is a lot less mistake prone than BAE.

Sandro, Dembele

Lennon, Dempsey, Bale

Ade.

Subs - Friedel, BAE, Dawson, Siggy, Thudd, Livermore, Defoe

If my 4-4-2 was played would be same team just with Lennon and Bale at RW & LW respectively and Dempsey playing just off Ade.

Feel free to critise and change as you all see fit just my opinion, but one thing is for sure WE are all hoping for a win, COYS COYS

Just interested to know why you picked dempsey ahead of sigg? I rate sigg so highly and thought he would just edge out dempsey for a start. Just askin :)

I give up on spurs, a must win game today and avb sees fit to start naughton, gallas and siggs! I'm shocked! Gallas to old and slow, naughton too inexperienced and Dempseys head and shoulders above siggs! Sort it out before its too late, we're falling behind

Agree2 Disagree9

You give up on spurs? Hopefully wont hear from you again. Oh and did you see the result? Solid comment

Jimbo,

I went for Dempsey for 2 reason, 1 is he already has a partnership with Dembele who MUST be a starter IMO, and 2 is I think he has more goals in him at the moment, dont get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Siggs and if we had picked up more points so far this season would have gone for Siggs instead.

To the guys who doubted Naughton starting, firstly how can he to inexperienced, he started 32 league games last season for Norwich in the EPL and if he is to inexperienced how the hell is he supposed to get it if he never plays?? If hes good enough he ready surely!! and he is defiantly good enough.

Fair enough mate was impressed with siggs and dempsey today and naughton looked quality. I wanna see Caulker in the mix as well although i thought Gallas put in a captains performance today. Great win for us. Hopefully the boo boys will pipe down a bit now. COYS

Naughton was great positionally and with his distribution but his tackling left a bit to be desired, although that might just be because he's a right footer playing on the left

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallas played well compared to the last few games and didn't make me curse for not
Seeing caulker start ....
Siggs passing and movement today was fantastic vision to see the run for Lennon was great and he's still young he's going to be top top class in the years to come

Dembele .... Just great cant really say much more given more time to gel and we really will be saying modric who ?

Sandro is great ... His touch is something to be improved on a bit though

Those three in the middle were great ...
Wether it was because it was reading ... We will have to wait and see

Defoe - on fire his touchs today I almost creamed when he recieved the ball from freidel and just missed the goal probably would have needed new trousers and boxers
Had that been a goal xD

Naughton did very well barring the first 15-20 mins or so until he got his barrings ...

The rest did well as we have all come to expect ....

My one problem .....

It's the last 5 mins ...... We really need to work on this as 3 games in a row conceding in the last 5 mins isn't good
