Use our rumours form to send us spurs transfer rumours.

15 Jun 2012 21:54:15
Well i for one am looking forward to the upcoming activities at the lane, the last few transfer windows have promised so much and ended up fizzling out to nothing much, cant see club not having a plan to take us to next level, when Ramos tried his best to relegate us Levy ditched him and installed Harry overnight! our most talented players like Modric,Bale and Walker have signed long contracts to get best price for them if they were to move on..... In Levy we trust he has best interests of club in mind where as Harry's looking out for no.1

You spurs fans make me laugh. When you were playing brilliant, redknapp was a king. When you started losing, redknapp was the devil. Now he's gone, everyone is saying like he's the saviour. Make up your mind!

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Hypocritical gooner.
Was you not doing the same before Xmas??
You gooners trying to be clever makes me laugh.
Go back to your morgue

Agree4 Disagree4

Bit hipcritical isn't it? Coming from a gooner who most of them were calling for wengers head at the start of last season?

Agree5 Disagree3

Gooner ? If so you absolute bloody frakking hypocrite ..... Except the when he left part

So are you a hypocritical fan of king Lenny or arsen whinger or any recent chavski manager.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Middlesex is N. London because the borough only exists in name only when the GLC was created in 1965

A.K you're absolutely right. Some fans flew away to cuckoo land when we had an amazing start to the season. They expected it to continue forever and inevitably we had a drop in form. It was a pretty significant drop in form, which has been entirely blamed on Redknapp. As an outsider you will recognise that doesn't make a lot of sense. Apparently he is also to blame for our lack of signings, despite the club (not Harry) making uncompetitive offers for quality players and leaving it too late in the transfer window.

These days an English manager wanting the England job is a criminal offence and often hypocritically many were outraged by his "lack of loyalty". Harry's s**t-talking to the media is just the icing on the cake.

Some fans have simply lost perspective on the situation, seemingly forgetting the last few years have been the best in the last 3 decades for Spurs. Any one outside of the club, including every professional football player and pundit agrees that we've played great football under Harry. For some reason this is seen by many as coincidental.

Everyone recognises Harry's weaknesses but the simple facts are that he got us the results we aimed for. We're all open to improvements but now we have to rebuild a team that came 4th in the most competitive league in the world, on a limited budget and without many options for a new manager.

In terms of the chairman's decision, I think we just have to assume that something happened behind the scenes that we're not aware of. Hopefully Levy's got something special up his sleeve.

Good luck for next season! (my bros a Reds supporter)

Hi to all Spurs fans.Although new to posting, have watched this site for the last 2-3 years.Reason for post,is have just googled Leandro Daimiao and on a few websites he is quoted "turned Tottenham down and happy to stay at International".
Does anyone know if we were still pushing this deal through or are all transfers on hold till the new manager is on board.I think we really missed out on a superb player.Look forward to Views.
Just to put my two pence in regarding Redknap-He's been great for the club but his only loyalty is to his pocket and his tactical substitutions are horrendous,so 50/50 only time will tell.AVB would be my choise based on Morinho's(spell)opinion of him.As for me he IS the best manager in the world!
Sell Modric,Chorluka,Bently,Jenus and anyone else whos not proud to wear the shirt.
King for Defensive coach!!

Sick and tired of you Spuds using the only thing you seem to have against us Gooners.

"Spurs were in North London first, get back to Woolwich you Nomads" blah blah blah. So I thought I'd come and educate you just a little bit.

Tottenham was a borough of Middlesex until 1965...

Arsenal Football Club, moved into Highbury, in 1913...

So, next time you go to use that little myth against a Gooner, have a little think about it, eh?

And middlesex is north of the river.......

Agree0 Disagree0

But has tottenham physically moved, or has Middlesex.
So what is the problem with wool which?
That is where you are from, you should be proud of it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well its obviously got you bothered if you have researched it and then logged onto a spurs page to "enlighten" us all. Its not the only thing we have against you though is it? as we have won a trophy in the past 7 years. You have your own page use it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Silly Gooner check your facts straight before you start posting rubbish. LET ME EDUCATE YOU.

Arsenal moved into "highbury" in 1913 yes! However it was on the site of St Johns hall. St Johns Hall was part of the borough of Islington which was a rural out skirt of the City of London at the time exactly the same as Middlesex was.

They both joined the Greater Borough of London in 1965 when a train line was put in place and people moved out of what was east London into larger "country Homes"

Therefore both Middlesex and islington became part of the borough of London at the same time.

With that in mind before you were in islington you were called Woolwich Arsenal FC because you came from? You guessed it. Woolwich.

Therefore in terms of being in Location Longest we were here first.

Lesson over.

Silly Gooners

Agree1 Disagree0

The gooners had to move from woolwich because in 1910 they went bankrupt because no one was going to watch them play because they couldn't afford to cross the river.

Police are hunting 2 men who broke into the arsenal trophy room.

Arsenal moved to N. London because at the time the owner saw the chance of making Arsenal bigger in that part of London.

Scouring through a few chelski sites, it seems most are quite
Worried about the possibility of AVB becoming our coach.
They wher actually praising our squad too.
I'm pro AVB, he would want to prove chelski wrong about him.
I think whoever get him will get a coach who could turn out to be very good.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Trust me im a chelsea fan and am not at all bothered by you getting avb infact id luv to see him a your club none of you lot actaully watched his teams selection last season he was given a great chance to manage londons only team who have won the champions league and he messed up big time and i hope he does the same to you but if he turns out ok then good luck..........ktbffh

tattooblue

Agree1 Disagree0

IMO the only reason AVB got such a hard time at Chelski was because his team selections were based on the type of football he wanted to play. However, the reason for his demise was that because "fan favourites" ie Lanps was left out because they didn't fit his ideas the players and fans turned their back on him.

Look at England. Every manager chooses the same squad by choosing the fan favourites and we don't win a thing. Woy comes along and changes the squad leaving some fan favourites out such as Rio and there's up roar.

Agree2 Disagree0

You didn't win the CL. The other teams you played threw it away.
Fair play to you tho for lifting the trophy when you was so outplayed in your final 3 games in that tournament.
Chavski supposedly being the best team in Europe is boring now. Laughable tho.
No manager can manage your club, and you know it. Even if you win the double you get fired.
Is your site that boring that you have to come on here and post all over a spurs site.
Anyway, I love it when the chavs come on here spouting off.
Just do easy to wind up. Like taking candy from a baby.
Anyway, better not say too much 'tattooblue' sounds really hard.
Good times ahead fellow yidsters.
Even the chavs are worried.

Tatto blue ...... The fact is you fluked it .... I don't care If you say you won it yes wow good for you never again .... Fact is tottenham and arsenal are better then your team .... Did you suddenly also rejoin supporting Chelsea after you won ? Now you will go back to man city after you fall away
I'm a full on spurs supporter
But arsenal deserve to have won the cl more than you they didn't buy their way into the top teams .... Just f off

Agree2 Disagree1

No. im pretty sure we won the champions league. I don't mind having a change in manger every one or two seasons as it seems to be working for us. Mabey you guys might get champions league football with this change in manger. Have fun in europa league.

Just my opinion:
AVB in with top targerts been:
Butland
Vertonghen
Affelay (Replaces Lennon - but covers for Bale if something happens)
Remy (replaces VDV behind the striker)
Modric out with VDV taking his position
Modric fee would cover most of the new signing with the board been able to splash out on a striker or 2!

WHAT A JOKE... I really can see the direction Levy is going he has a poor record of getting top managers to our club, the only one who has got up on the map over the last 4 years was harry. We started to become a force in the prem.He introduced the director of football. What a mess that was.The sale of Berba the last day of the transfer deadline with out bringing some one in we sold pav for 12 mil in jan no replacment.Didnt papa gp to newcastle then for 9m hmmm.Harrys made mistakes GRANTED er so did wenger the drumming of utd and city. His hands were tied by levy as this guy clearly knows nothing about football but like to go off and do his own thing like the signing of vdv harry didnt know nothing about him coming.PPL talk about rotation who was the one that let half of the team to go out on loan. We have failed to sign a striker over since berba, a ft one not a loan striker.Saha, ryan obv was not harry wish list is was who was available for free whatch levy mess our club up watch.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Harry was his own worst enemy, he said Saha wasa gd signing and had spoken with fergi about him and that ryan nelson was a great pro who will add something. Now he saying they had nothing to do with him. Yet they are hallmark harry signings. levy on the other hand got us vdv. harry got us parker which was good and pinaar..not so good and friedel good but not long term. Harry plans short term we need to look long term. Levy knows this why we go bale & walker at the club with naughton who i hope stays. Buying potential is what has made us good not buying big stars who want huge wedge and give nothing back. Sign damaio good young and quick, and others like him. Good young and full of potential.

Hey all Spuds fans

KB, thanks for the respect mate, I only went on one because a lot of you guys were slagging everton to f**k and trying to decide whether to have Moyes or not, as if it was your (Tottenham's) choice, totally disrespectful to everton the way a lot of you guys have been going on "let's take Moye's, Felliain, Baines and Jelavic off them"

Anyway guys my rant is over from last night now that someone sensible like KB has shown the respect to us.

Here's something from me - Spurs are a great club with a great history and are known throughout the globe, oh yeh I also really like your club, a lot

I hope you get the right guy in and push on from where Harry left off, shame letting him go as he was probably the one and without him you may struggle with Bale/Modric, VDV, I really hope you guys don't lose anyone because you were the closest thing we had to breaking the so called TOP FOUR up, and also some great football to watch

Good luck guys and I personally dont think Villas Boas is the one, Klinsmann would have been nice

Good luck

Degsybluenose - Everton fan

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I think it was merely a debate on who would be best on taking us over, I personally don't like the fact we are having to contemplate a new manager. Moyes has been great for you guys, I completley understand why you don't want him to leave and it's only the press and bookies who are tipping him, we're all in the dark

There is an erry silence around Tottenham Football Club PLC. It seems that Levy is playing his cards very close to his chest, but has an air of supreme confidence in his manner. One can only assume he has already received a positive agreement in principle with his desired replacement.

Looking at the options it would appear that AVB is the rumoured favourite now with Martinez, Moyes, Capello and Benitez all in the wings. Then there are those who believe Klinsmann, Hoddle, Poyet, Terry Venables & Sherwood are more likely candidates. Then we have the long shot discussions linking managers like Guardiola, Louis Van Gaal, Lauren Blanc, Didier Deschamps, Marcelo Lippo, Frank De Boer, Gus Hiddink , Frank Rijkaard & Ruud Gullit. Further still we have a few medically insane editors posting articles linking Steve McClaren, Martin O'Neill, Curbishley, McClaren, Gary Neville, Mick McCarthy, Stuart Pearce, Mark Hughes, Brian Clough and David Pleat. One thing is likely it is probably going to be one of them Mr Flippit!

I have to be honest I will be delighted if we get a high profile manager like Hiddink, Guardiola or even Lippi, but it does look increasingly likely that AVB are the cards Levy was holding. I would love your views and EDs regarding AVB and anyone else you feel we could or should get. One thing is certain there are loads of managers out there and many with more tactical and professional attributes than Harry Redknapp. My jury is still out on AVB but I doubt he will be caught in the headlights twice of given his chance again.

The one thing we need to do is get Vertonghen, Foster & Damiao and keep the likes of Modric, Bale and Van Der Vaart. Perhaps AVB will unlock some talent from Portugal and open a new chapter in Spurs history and lead us to the title.

The Oracle

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree1

I would luv to see avb a spurs he will do such a good job wrecking the club for every other decent footie fan out there

Agree0 Disagree1

Interesting article Mr. Oracle. Allow me to recap if you will.
in your post you mention the following managers - AVB, Martinez, Moyes, Capello and Benitez. Klinsmann, Hoddle, Poyet, Terry Venables & Sherwood. Guardiola, Louis Van Gaal, Lauren Blanc, Didier Deschamps, Marcelo Lippo, Frank De Boer, Gus Hiddink , Frank Rijkaard & Ruud Gullit, Steve McClaren, Martin O'Neill, Curbishley, Gary Neville, Mick McCarthy, Stuart Pearce, Mark Hughes, Brian Clough and David Pleat.

Quote - "One thing is likely it is probably going to be one of them Mr Flippit!"

Sounds like youve got all bases covered then. Cant think of anyone you've missed, all though i do believe that Ossie and Hoddle are free (lol) - No matter who is appointed, you'll now be able to tell us you got it right.
How about putting your head on the line as I have done and actually give us a name - JUST ONE NAME, on who its going to be BEFORE it is confirmed on SSN or the Spurs website. While your at it Mr. clever clogs, lets also have the winning lotto numbers, a cure for cancer and lets have world peace too. Just as likely as as you being right me thinks.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree2

Failing to gasp your last point. but did notice that you havent answered the question AGAIN.

All children that's enough!

I believe that we will not get Moyes as Manager. Levy will not want to pay that much compensation for a new manager so we will get a manager with either one year left on his contract or that they are free. I beleve that this probably leaves AVB in the frame although my outside bet would be Rijkard. I would not be surprised to see Sherwood as the assistant manager (ie I think he will get a promotion as he is well respected).

Team
I believe that we will sign a young goalkeeper to come through the ranks, as we are building for the future and Friedal has one last year left in him.
King will take up a place as a coach and do his coaching badges.
We will sign Vertonghen and the West Brom defender (can't remember his surname).
Modric will go but we will get Kaka (this is just my opinion before people jump on the what your sources bandwagon! You know who you are!)
Bale will stay
We will not sign Damiao.
I believe that we will get Huntalaar (teams up well with Van Der Vaart and would keep VDV here and solve our striker issue at the same time).

I'm still IN LEVY WE TRUST.

The Rabbit

Agree3 Disagree0

Young gk through the ranks ? we just got rid of 3 ? 4 ? young keepers ... who do we really have left youth wise ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Olsson west brom defenders last name

Agree0 Disagree0

....... ummmmmm am i the only person to have noticed the rabbits cock up ?
MOYES ONLY HAS ONE YEAR LEFT!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We got rid of the other keepers cause they were not good enough. If they were good enough a premier league side would have taken them on loan.

The Rabbit

Agree0 Disagree0

It was not a cock up. We will not get Moyes as Manager was my first point, the reason was not cause of he has one year left on his contract (sorry me not explaining the first point). I think we are looking for a bigger and better manager than him. Also, it's very rare that the bookies get the odds on manager correct that early (yes I know there is the exemption but look at when the england manager job was vacant!).

The Rabbit

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree5 Disagree1

Last point to the all seeing, all knowing oracle. Do you remember this? -

Last year, chairman Daniel Levy said that the listing of the club restricted the its ability to secure funding, and that delisting from the exchange would be good for the club’s finances. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has delisted its shares from the stock market and gone into private ownership, in a bid to raise funds for a new stadium. The north London club confirmed that Friday 13th January 2012 was the last day of trading in its shares on the AIM index.

This means that Spurs are NOT a plc. More evidence (if any was needed) that you sir, know jack s**t about anything to do with Spurs, the players, training ground or boardroom other than what you can google.

So ladies and gentlemen, next time trush declares that he can catargorically confirm this or that is going on remember that the daily star gets its stories beforer this person and is correct more than him - and that is saying something!

Rest assured I will be vocal on July 1st to remind the readers of your latest claims. I cant wait for Green, Damaio and Vertongen to show you up again. Tick Tock.
