Remy was class tonight. Definitely better than adebayor. First goal showed his heading skill. Good for when lennon and bale cross. Second Goal showed amazing pace and pinpoint finishing. Quality player, would fit perfectly.

Ok calm down! Look at goals again how much space had he ... ask yourself would he get that in England.. French LG is dross none of the teams know how to defend , Even pool rejects Cole & poulsen look good in that division.
Anyway doubt remy will move country with Euros on horizon will want to cement place in French side. Rafael Honningstein reckons weve scouted mandzukic a lot this season so he could be a target. Have you heard anything Ed? Personaly i think he's not bad would prefer us to sign doumbia or papisse Cisse
Espur
{Ed008's Note - I've not hear anything from Spurs.Seems like a decent player theirs the Croatian link.

Bet Harrys at the game in France to see joe cole not remy

Believable2 Unbelievable1

No point watching Joe Cole unless loan deal means he can be released to be sold. Not seen enough of Remy to really know but can't recall him terrorising Premier League defenders in the Champions League.

I think everyone is getting carried away yes we drew wit wolves obviously we expected to win but it didn't happen and everyone including ed are all doom and gloom I hope you all remember your posts next week if we beat city. it's not over by a long shot both manc clubs will be playing Sunday,Thursday, Sunday pretty soon let's see what happens then. Lots of points to be won and lost yet. Irish yid
{Ed008's Note - I'm not even thinking about the title. Have you seen our fixtures in the next 2 months ? Gotta beat teams like Wolves simple as that. Harry+VDV should have kept their mouth shut always happens we get carried away.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes I have trip to anfield ha have you seen there home record and the wat there playing. Man utd at home come on even you must agree how lucky have they been against us in recent years due to beat em. Chelsea I'd take a draw which is a good result for any club. Newcastle and Wigan at home expect wins. City next week IMO best time to play them missing key players. How can are club loose it's stigma when it's supporters keep goin on about it. Man u lost at home to Blackburn the other week. Can't win evert week mate even at home Irish yod by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 008 , agree with you on this . Keep your traps shut and keep playing football , thats what you are paid for .
Davo

You don't take a man when he is down. Enjoy it while it lasts. See you next week after the Manchecter city game. At least we are at home.

P Gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep P gunner , but after that you will still be 10 points behind even if we lose . No way are you going to beat the reds , I will hope for a draw so when we beat the blues I can give you even more sh**e on your banter page . What is it now , 3rd best team in London , or is that QPR ?

Looks like our draw was a decent result now. Up the Swans, gooner losers!
Mo
{Ed008's Note - Regardless of the result today a draw isnt good enough against teams like Wolves.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed - only as long as it is the exception not the rule. Think about who we've dropped points to, only 3 teams out of the top 7. provided we kick on I'm prepared to let this slide

Agree0 Disagree0

Also the circumstances, only conceded in 85th mins for 2 draws and Stoke was ridiculous with 3-4 cast iron game-changing mistakes by officials but mainly the ghost-equaliser 2-3yds onside, yesterday everybody knows that was a goal-kick or foul for us.....small margins between current excellent run and an impossibly good run that would've seen us top. That's how it goes, huge game next week with Pav or Defoe needing to do the business and/or time for Rafa's big game goal/s!

I would like Samba, dimaio/Llorent and Robben to sign.

Doubt it would happen, but I believe these 3 strong signings will make a big difference and only then could we consider us as a world class team and real title contenders.

At the moment I do not think we will win the league or even come second but i'm 99% sure we will at least finish 3rd (and to be honest I will be happy with third, we have improved so much in the last 3 years, more than I could have hoped, well done Harry and the boys)

that is all

Not rumour or speculation but WHO would you prefer:
Llorente OR Remy, both are reportedly available for £14.5-20M max and on between £65000pw-75000(Maybe worth it, maybe not).

Llorente:
This season
League
Apps - 14
Start - 13
Sub - 1
Goal - 5

Champs/Europa League
Apps - 5
Start - 5
Goals - 2

Euro 2012 - Qualifiers
Spain
Apps - 5
Start - 2
Subs - 3
Goals - 3

Remy:
This season
League
Apps - 18
Start - 18
Goal - 7

Champs/Europa League
Apps - 6
Start - 6
Goals - 2

Euro 2012 - Qualifiers
France
Apps - 1
Start - 1
Goals - 1

Looking at the stats for this season both players are similar with Llorent just edging it IMO and he also has the more international experience. Also both players are suited to the way that we play. There is 1 years difference between them, Remy is apx 6'1" with Llorente 6' 4"

Both players are available at the right price in January and we have been linked to both players over the last 18 months or so. Remy is a more adaptable player by that I mean he can play on the RW where as Llorent is the better Striker acting as a lone striker or with a partner.

IMO I would prefer Llorente but Spurs will probably choose Remy as he is cheaper.(IF we get anyone at all striker wise)

foxspur {Ed001's Note - Redknapp tried to buy Llorente last January, he offered over 25m and it was rejected. Liverpool offered the 35m they ended up splashing on Carroll and Bilbao rejected it. I would be very surprised if they would now sell him on the cheap, they are trying to sell Muniain(sp?) right now instead. What about a move for him? He is young, fast, skilful and can cover the wings and play up front.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We shouldn't get rid of Freidel ever! His experience is priceless, he should be a coach to help Lloris (preferably) coz he's got the natural ability/speed/reflexes whereas big brads been in the prem for so long he can help with positioning and when to come off his line. And he knows the opposition that he'll have to play against.

I feel spurs could be in with a real shout of the title this year even after dropping points today, I feel 2-3 transfers could really push spurs to be a force not omly now but years to come. I don't really see samba as the cb we are crying out for for one his wage demands are rediculous and every year he is always asking for a transfer and never gets one there must be reasons no managers are willing to take a risk on him, I feel maybe jagielka. Or shawcross would be better options 2 players that always fight the cause to 100% just like dawson, I would also like to see somebody coming in like. Young mark albrighten he is a player that has all the qualities to play the way spurs do he has pace a good delivery and fights for 90minutes would prove good cover for lennon or bale and be far better at playing the spurs football than pienar, as for a striker the usual names are always thrown around which include remy and de jong! I think somebody such as levezzi from napoli would fit the bill perfectly who can play either flank or down the middle and play with a really high tempo and counter fast with bale and lennon as he displayed against city in the champions league, also another striker who is emerging would be roberto soldaldo he would demand very much around the same price and wages as remy but is proving himself on the big stage, also he is pretty much carrying valencia this season so a player who can thrive under pressure. Sorry about the text with no caps and poor punctuation this is done on my blackberry in bed at almost 3am
