Where is the Adebayor that scored and assisted 4 against newcastle? Really hope he regains his form from last season.

No chance, has his contract now like the rest of the deadwood! About time players were paid for effort and results on a sliding scale!

I personally think the dramatic improvements in Bale and more so Lennon is down to AVB. We are in a better position that last season and have an arguably lesser squad, it's very different from last seasons for sure! What's your thoughts?

I'm more than happy! I also love to see the passion of AVB and Steffan freund, really does give us fans the sense of a very focused team
Agree6

Agreed! The appetite for every game this season is greater and I think there is a genuine belief that every game can be won (not saying we can beat everybody!) but the belief is refreshing.
Agree2
Disagree2
Actually, we are currently 5 points behind where we were last year, but at this stage last season we had just embarked on a run where we took only 6 points from 9 games. I hope we can soon overhaul last year's points total and finish strongly.
As for AVB, he still makes some decisions that worry me, but so did all his predecessors. If we qualify for the Champions League, I will be happy to aknowledge his contribution to the club.

Aargh, Kevin returns.
Hey big fella, you are in no position to comment on managers.
If avb was still at the chavs, you would be a lot better off than you are now.
Your club won't settle down until all your old guard has gone.
They run your team, not any manager.
Avb has found his place and I doing a very good job in a well run club.
How is rafa by the way?
I've seen your tears on your own site KevinCFC. Heart wrenching I must say.

Avb didn't run your team, that was plain for everyone to see.
Decent manager, at the wrong club.
Before you go shooting your face off, he as only failed at one club, a badly run club. What does that tell you?

RDM won the CL Kevin,
'Where did that get him?'
Stupid comment.
Being manager of the chavs is like no other job. You are born to fail. its just a matter of time.

If you compare this season's results so far against last season on a team for team basis, replacing the 3 that went down with the 3 that came up (Bolton for Reading, Blackburn for So'ton, and Wolves for West Ham) then we are 3 points ahead from this time last year.
To finish ahead of last season's point tally we have to have a good run in. From equivalent fixtures last year we would take 24pts in 12 games to end on 72pts.
Wins: West Ham A, Arsenal H, Fulham H, Everton H, Wigan A, So'ton H, Sunderland H
Draws: Liverpool A, Swansea A, Chelsea A
Losses: Man City H, Stoke A
This seems achievable to me if we start to find our scoring form outside of Bale. Arsenal, Everton, and Chelsea seem the most likely places we will lose points vs last year, but Liverpool, Swansea, and Stoke could all be converted to wins if we play well.
Arsenal are having a torrid time compared to last year, being 12 points down on the equivalent fixtures. That they are only 4 points behind us shows that the majority of games they did poorly in last year they have still to play this year. This is a double edged sword - although it means that their projected points score is low, it does give them a great opportunity to turn these games around and 'catch up' on their previous year. Currently they are projected to only score another 14 points.
Wins: Villa H, Everton H, Reading H, West Brom H
Draws: Norwich H, Newcastle A
Losses: Spurs A, Swansea A, Fulham A, Manchester United H, QPR A, Wigan H
Last year they had a pretty dreadful time away from home (Newcastle being the only away game they still have to play that last year they got anything from). You'd imagine that they could turn that around this year (current form this year is 24pts in home games vs 20 in away games in equal games).
That makes the game between us critical - I know, that's not news to anyone here!

Better manager my ass. You had £250 million worth of players on the field.
So you should win, nothing to do with the manager when the on field payers pick the team.
Kevin, you are just sore because you are stuck with a fat waiter and every decent manager is turning you down because roman will ruin their career.
I see you still harping back to past glories. Well done beating the bees today. You must be over the moon.

Someone has just posted on the goons sight.
'Would you swap bale for Wiltshire'
Wot are they on. now spurs fans 'would ou swap bale for Wiltshire?'
My answer. maybe Wiltshire and £30million!
I guess wilhire would go for £30/40millon tops
Bale. well. how much? {Ed008's Note - Wilshere not Wiltshire.

Its not about if they are the same players or not.
At the moment, I wouldn't even swap lloris, sandro or bale for wilshire.
Wilshire is good, but we can cover that position easily.
When 2 players swap clubs, they aren't always the same position on the field.
