Ibra is quality and although a transfer seems unlikely don't write it off, one of many possible avenues.

Kaka, is very much a target, despite city and chelsea after him, with wages an issue. He may be past his best but he is only 28.

Srna, perfect player for the role set, but richards is someone i also lke as a player.

. . . . . .
your right i should not really right off them sort of transfers because you just never know with tottenham. the club is on the up.
ide prefer someone who will put a big shift in. you know who ide love their.

hutton and bassong look set to be sold in the summer(thank god) so we deffo need someone. srna is a good player, but personally ide take richards because of his versitility.
Sime Vrsaljko is a young top croation defender we could sign and help him develop. linked with him in january. (modric recommended him)

. . . . . . . . . Gomes. . . . . . . .

Srna. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Bale
. . . . . . .Sandro(Hudd). . . . . .
. . . . Kaka. . . . . . .Modric. . .
. . . . . .Van Der Vaart. . . . . .
. . . . . . .Ibrahimovic. . . . . . .

Van Der Vaart may move to Man Utd for 24mil, therefore we may sign Sneijder to replace him.

. . . . . . . . .

VDV will never move to utd as he has recently expressed his love for spurs and life in north london. he says his family are so happy were they are. so that will not happen my friend.
kaka will not sign for spurs, good player but not the player he once was. can't see him hacking it in the prem just like ballack.
hudd. .after watching sandro protect that back line in recent games, ide choose him over hudd any day. we have players in modric and vdv who can pick a ball out of nothing.therefore hudd can sit on the bence. .well that's my opinion.
ibrahimovic is a good player but overated. very lazy.
ive heard rumours of srna but in all honesty richards is the man. has everything.

Altough bale and vdv has taken the limelight this seaon. aaron lennon has put in some vital solid performances. not only does he attack but does his defensive duties very well, which alot of people are forgetting.
juventus are bankrupt so they will never sign aaron.

guv where are you dude.

thoughts on sandro?

I don't see why you rule out aguero. we made an offer which was not rejected by aguero but by the club. athletico madrid will need to sell at the end of the season.
do you think the presence of VDV and bale at our club could tempt him to move because i can.
after the bid was made everything was kept quiet. no response from aguero saying its a rumour and he will never leave, so you never know mate. all he said was HE will decide when he wants to leave and who he wants to join not athletico. he himself said he will see what his future holds at the end of the season.
we could obviously afford his price tag and his wage other wise we would not have made an offer.
you can never rule it out.

With harry i don't know who he will sign but i can pretty much assure most tottenham fans that the likes of bale, modders, and lennon will not be sold. like harry has said if we are to move to the next level we need to keep our top players. 70 million for bale is alot of money but we are such a well run club that we are in a position to reject that bid. we are not in debt to have to accept it.
what tottenham fans need to understand is that we don't have to sell all our big players to generate money. 48 million is a big sum of money. with the likes of Keane £6m, Bentley £8m, O'Hara £5.5m, Bassong £6m, Hutton £6m, Jenas £6m and Pavlyuchenko £8m all sold, that sum would significantly increase to around 95 million. in addition to that we have £18.8m Champions League payments, £20m TV rights, additional £10m from under Armour and approx an additional £10m from Investec etc. this is a massive kitty if you do the math. approximiately 150 million
this is why we don't and will not sell our big stars.

now onto the transfers.
respectfully i take in your comments but heres my opinion.

lass diara?. .i think the majority of spurs fans would raise there eyebrows over this signing after watching sandro perform. only 21 has bags of ability, still learning and already proving his worth on the field. palacios and huddlestone as back up replacements.
rob green?. . the guy makes blunder after blunder, the most overated useless goaly england has ever seen.
joe cole?. .gald we never signed this useless, overated 3 step over joke. wanted to go to a club were he felt love! he can not even cut it in the liverpool team. would be the worst signing of the year if we sign him.
Taye Taiwo?. . contract is soon to expire, but is it worth signing a left back when we already have bale for cover. would just mean more pointless money on the books.
shawcross?. .absolutly no. the worst defender i have ever seen in the premiership. slow, late on tackles, foul mouth and over rated.
fabiano?. . ageing, has no time to learn in the premiership due to his age. and has already said he will finish his carear in brazil.

ins
richards. .everyone can see his ability would be a top top signing for tottenham. has strength, very quick, his presence itself scare the opposition. could play in the center of defence to. . .top signing.

aguero. . the player every tottenham fan dream of coming to WHL. just his name on the team sheet would scare the oppositions defence. incredible signing.

gabreil heinze. . cheap, good coach for ekotto and bale, has bags of expereince and usually if harry signs 1 argentine he will sign another for comfort. as he did with luka.

total 50 million.
promote the likes of bostock, kyle walker, townsend back to the first team to replace those who have left. all 3 players have bags of ability and still very young.

i agree that the future of spurs is looking up with the stadium and all but. .keeping the likes of bale, modric, lennon is essential to our club in moving foward. bale is only 21 and still has not hit his peak, still learning, we must keep him. i just wish he would come out and declare his love for spurs and honour his contract as the likes of ryan giggs, frank lampard, gerrard and other legends have. these players love their fans and the club and wouldn't dream of moving elsewhere. i just hope bale turns out like that, the amount of respect he would gain is astonishing.

Spurs season looks likely to be touch and go at best for Champions League spot, and therefore the scouts are preparing a complicated two fold transfer target plan. Harry is still adamant that Spurs will qualify by securing fourth place, and there is still an outsider chance that Spurs could actually win the Champions League outright. For those who do not understand how the qualification works let me explain - We have Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs left in the competition. Should the winner come from one of those teams, then they automatically get a place and if outside the top 4 in the league they replace the 4th placed team who move to the Uefa Europa League. So if we assume Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea will all finish in the top four, then Spurs have two chances to oust Man City - One by finishing fourth in the Premiership and the other by winning the Champions League itself.

I think we need to start with the financial affairs and cover the available funds. Firstly there was a transfer fund pool of £48m and was prior to any Champions League and Premierships monies for this season. The Champions League has currently generated £18.8m regardless of the next game. If they were to go further then you can escalate that figure again and again. In addition the TV revenue works on a games played , the commercial value of the team home market and league position. Looking at last years awards if is highly liekly to exceed £20m for this alone. Then there is the Premiership payments themsleves which are considerable, we will assume the same as last year at £13.6m. Lastly the sponsorship commercial value increase significantly and the new deal for £50m from Under Armour and the current negotiations with Investec will undoubtedly provide additional revenues or they will find themselves being replaced. In summary there are the following sums: £48m existing transfer kitty, £18.8m Champions League payments, £20m TV rights, additional £10m from under Armour and approx an additional £10m from Investec, Autonomy or whoever else wants to play ball. A total warchest of around £115m ignoring any additional progress in the Champions League or any sales of players.

Now onto the scouting transfer acquisition plan. If Europa League is the fate of Spurs, expect Keane £6m, Bentley £8m, O'Hara £5.5m, Bassong £6m, Hutton £6m, Jenas £6m and Pavlyuchenko £8m to leave. Also expect hostile bids for Lennon from Juventus for around £25m, Bale from Real Madrid £70m and Modric from Man Utd for £35m. The view is that only Bale at £70m would be sold. This would mean £115m in transfers in addition to the £115m warchest explained above.

I don't need to tell you that Harry is extremely pragmatic. Whilst he would try to hold onto all his best players, there has been suggestion that Hazard for Lennon, Robben for Bale and Sniejder for Modric would provide similar results with significant transfer savings and therefore money to strengthen in other areas.

We could discuss a thousand permutations and speculate on many more. I think the best thing to do is look at the transfer targets in each position against the current squad.

GK - Gomes - Cudicini will be released in the summer, Pletikosa is a safe pair of hands in reserve, but expect Rob Green to join as the Hammers seek to find the £6m funds to pay for Robbie Keane.
LB - Assou Ekotto has won the hearts of more than half of the fans but expect Taye Taiwo to join and provide a watertight solution.
CB - Dawson is seen as an automatic selection, Gallas, King and Woodgate are all likely to stay due to their ability when fit. Whilst ageing anyone of the three alongside Dawson is formidable. With Bassong off and Kaboul & Khumalo likely to remain squad players it is Shawcross £10m who is being lined up to partner Dawson.
RB - Many Spurs fans will be surprised to hear that Corluka is not seen as the right solution, and Hutton being sold due to a post match bust up with Harry. Our scounts are vigilantly watching Kyle Walker to report on his suitability for first team selection, but is seems that Harry is far more interested in Micah Richards for £8.8m.
LM - The big question is whether Bale will go for £70m or stay. I expect he will be sold to Real Madrid who have already made an informal approach to test the ice. Pienaar is proving to be half the player that Harry thought he had bought, and he is very interesting in rescuing Joe Cole from Liverpool as a more permanent solution. Cole and Pienaar would provide backup as Arjen Robben £24m will be bought in as a direct replacement.
CM - Sandro looks to be maturing fast, and Modric is likely to stay unless a really silly offer comes in. Huddlestone will be back soon, and Palacios is a good squad player. That said Van Der Vaart is trying to convince Harry to buy his mate Wesley Sneijder £26m and also his old team mate Lassana Diarra £13.5m from Real Madrid. I would expect both purchases with Jenas and O'Hara leaving.
RM - Lennon provides a great option but with Bentley leaving expect the brilliant Eden Hazard £14.5m to push Lennon for his place.
ATM - Van Der Vaart will continue to provide a brilliant option, but the view is Harry would us him deeper in a true attacking midfield role if he can secure the right options upfront. However expect Douglas Costa to sign from Shaktar for £14.75m. Sandro has been singing his praises and Harry is keen to listen following Sandro's recent performances.
CF - Defoe and Crouch will stay as they offer a different dimension. Aguero £38m and Fabiano £9m will both sign.

In summary Aguero £38m, Fabiano £9m, Hazard £14.5m, Sneijder £26m, Diarra £13.5m, Robben £24m, Douglas Costa £14.75m, Micah Richard £8.8m, Shawcross £10m = £160m.

I am sure many will look at this and laugh at the ambition of the acquisition plan. Just remember two things - 1. Spurs will have circa £230m if Bale were to be sold & 2. The £70m net saving will help support the new stadium investment capabilities.

The future at Spurs is amazing and with a new Stadium set to hold 60,000 which is worth £60m more a year in revenues compared to the current ground capacity. The loss of Bale will annoy many supporters but I doubt any will look at the squad come next season and think that Spurs are not a real title contender at last. {Ed001's Note - where are Juve going to get the money to bid for Lennon? They are skint.
