Pepe Reina, Glen Johnson, Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Raul Meireles, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll or Gomez, Gallas, Bale, Modric (uncertain), "VDV", Lennon and Crouch, who would you choose?

Regarding LFC fans being "stopping/being stopped" posting "bollocks" here, well, that's simply not going to happen, I'm afraid cause there's no reason it should.

To begin with, this site for writing about and/or discussing Spurs-related content, not a "Spurs' fans site".
So any fan, Spurs or not, will post on here, as and when they want.

And secondly, only obscene/offensive/libelous etc posts should be deleted. I myself for one haven't posted material of such nature.
And in the rather short time I've been here I haven't came across one offensive post.
I'm pretty certain that the moderators of the site wouldn't allow any such posts through.

Moving on. I and the like have been said to be "worried" and "obsessed" about Spurs. . that apparently evidenced by our being on this site.

Well, I can assure, lad, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is the least of our worries.
Why? You're no threat to our short to long-term objective. Which are those? A top three (if not higher) finish nxt season and a extensive epoch of sustained success domestically and international.

Our main opposition, we expect, will be the last season's top 3 and potentially Arsenal in the long-term.
All of those teams' long-term competitive ability will immensely improve far rapidly than that of your club.

(I've already detailed the reasons why in my earlier post and needn't reiterate myself.)
The problem with you Spurs fans is that, having taken LFC's place in the CL and finished above us again this season, you've led yourselves to (incorrectly) believe that you're part of the "big boys" and are getting "close" to the "Promised land".

You do this without having due regard to the one major factor which influenced how you did the past two seasons. . and that factor will again influence how things pan out for you.
But not just you, at the top of the table as well.

That factor is twofold, Liverpool Football Club 2009-2011 and Liverpool Football Club 2011-.
Perhaps I should leave you to ponder it all.
I shall be back in due course.

For someone who doesn't beleive that Spurs are a threat, you have taken a long time on OUR fansite trying to convince everyone.

Spurs are a well run club who are well in a position to make one or two shrewd signings to consolidate the direction of the club. These signings will be made by Levy and not Redknapp.

Liverpool are owned by an american investment company who have no previous ties to Liverpool. Having closely followed the Boston Red Sox over many years they will do a very good job of stabilising the club but will also be ruthless when it comes to it.

Lets embrace the future of both clubs and realise that there will be a lot of very good teams over the coming years with Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs all up there playing good football.

And whilst all you Liverpool fans Hail Comolli as your scouting saviour, just remember that he signed the following spurs players - Andy Reid, Hossam Ghaly, Ricardo Rocha, Didier Zokora, Pascal Chimbonda, Malcontent Mido, Chris Gunter, Gregorsz Rasiak, Gilberto(the crap one) So lets not get too excited!

A simple question was put to you: "what is your unique selling proposition?". No satisfactory answer to the question was provided, only a few irrelevant points and insults.
And I'm not surprised, really, as you've nothing bigger and better (than CFC, AFC, LFC, MCFC and MUFC) to offer players of the calibre of Hulk, Mata, Rossi, Aguero etc.

You're, with respect, all delusions and reside in cloud-cuckoo-land.
The sad thing is that. You're not just saying you're a big club, you actually believe it.
It's fine when someone bigs themselves up for the purposes of bushliness and ebullience. But when they start believing crap even when it's evidently clear that it's crap, it's a sad situation (note the poor fella who last night posted that LFC are no more recognized than Spurs).

You:
- your revenues pale in comparison with LFC and the other big teams like CFC, AFC MUFC
- have a small, bargain basement, aesthetically bankrupt stadium
- pay relatively paltry wages
- uninspiring history
- derisory recognition and global appeal
- small time manager with no impressive track record
- only one, two at a stretch, world class player
- have your only truly world class player doubting if staying with you would do his career any good

I know you'll immediately point to van Der Vaart as proof of that you have lure.
Well, before I get into "VDV", I'll have regard to an incident preceding the signing of "VDV" by a coupla months.
Luis Fabiano.

Spurs had (confirmed) interest in him. Fabiano, however, moved to quickly knock back your overtures, stating that (this is a paraphrase) "there's no point in me leaving Sevilla for a small club. I might as well just stay here."

Fabiano had hoped that one of Milan, Manure would move in for him. But it didn't happen.
Realising this later on, he changed his stance on Spurs and was now open to a move to you. You were his last resort/option.

As you were van Der Vaart. Obviously the dynamics in Fabiano and "VDV"'s cases had slight differences. Nevertheless, the bottom line was the same: you were the player's last option.

His agent had hawked around most top clubs like Bayern, Manure, us (Roy Hodgson even confirmed this when he revealed we had turned down the chance of signing him).
Madrid then contacted you on deadline day. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fact of the matter is that Spurs aren't big enough (with prestige and/or wages) to sway big players like Aguero, Hazard, Rossi etc.
The best you lot can hope for is another Modric (when you bought him).

I'm not saying we ourselves would be cast-iron to get these players. Some we would, some we won't.
Regardless, we've got a much higher chance of swaying a player to come to us instead of, say, Chelsea, than you lot do.

I mean, look. If you were Aguero/Rossi/Hulk right now and had to choose between playing with:

Look, the point is that, Spurs are small compared to Liverpool, prestige-wise, money-wise, growth and success prospects-wise.
You lot can best and very correctly be described as "a flash in the pan". And that's no winding-up.

Your finishing above LFC the past two seasons was attributable to our own troubles.
It's not because you were good yourselves, no.
Any honest person can tell you that.

It may rub you up the wrong way, but it's true, Tottenham Hotspur is NOT a big club, let alone bigger than, or even equal to, Liverpool.
Just like Juventus. They've had their troubles as well recently, but they remain a force to be reckoned and are most capable, far better than Spurs, of attracting some of the best players in the world.
They truly are a huge name, just like us.

It's true that a) we came on the brink of administration. It's also true that b) Anfield needs a major rebuild/revamp.
Regarding a, as we all know, we survived that storm, as we always survive adversities. So that point is irrelevant.
With regard to b, it's common knowledge that right now we are looking at either redeveloping Anfield or building a new stadia.
Either way, Liverpool will have a 60 000-70 000 plus stadium by at the very latest 2015.
This will just add even more to our already growing revenue streams.

We've got very good owners in FSG. In terms of taking the club forward, on and moreover off, the pitch, they're potentially the best there are in the Prem.
Excellent businessmen who a) love the club, b) are willing to sufficiently back the manager and c) are proven winners in sports.

LFC is on the ascendancy, quicker than your club.
You'll see that yourselves in the coming weeks.
Now you just worry about MUFC swooping for Modric than fantasizing about Aguero. Lol!

Valencia is bigger than Spurs? Really? Well if we use the Forbes list ( which im not the greatest fan of) Valencia don't even make the top 20! So how are they bigger? So let me clarify for you:

I'm pretty certain luka modric will be a spurs player next season but the rumours won't go away and he keeps giving the politician answer where he says who knows what might happen bale didn't say that he said he as no intention of leaving no matter who comes in for him and will be at spurs 100% next season. .I think modric is covering all bases not saying enough to upset the fans if he stays but not being made to look a lair if he moves. .but it will be hard for spurs to get champions league football next season the usual suspects will be there chelsea united city will get stronger so will liverpool and arsenal might struggle if they lose fabregas and nasri and with spurs in the europa league they could find it a uphill battle even tho I would prefer to see them in the champions league
