Any one know if Tottenham are any closer to signing Fazio?
{Ed002's Note - I understand that the money has been paid to the Spanish FA so it is simply down to paperwork etc..}

Thanks for your response on my previous post. Now that we are now down to the last week of the window, can you shed any light on who might be leaving and who might be arriving?
PS Great start for Spurs, let's carry it on this weekend and beat Liverpool.

Holtby will likely leave but Hamburg think they will be priced out of him. Then there is the strike situation - Remy, Welbeck .... we'll see. That is all I can confirm right now.}

heard a rumour that mata spurs possible? maybe as chelsea just sneaked in for one of our targets and they still want rooney so would like to raise some cash. I think he would be a good player for spurs. {Ed008's Note - No chance.
1.) Chelsea don't do business with Spurs and we don't do business with them. If there was any hope there won't be now AVB is pitting his wits against Mourinho.

He wasn't playing tonight. There is a Walker-Peters playing for us but he didn't score either!
Walker is said to be at least 6 weeks away.

Im hoping to find out if anyone knows why lambert wasnt called offside for the saints 2nd goal?
The ball is headed forward by one of there players and he's offside. kyle shouldn't be under any pressure even if kyle toches the ball as lambert gains an advantage be being stood offside. So I see it as still the same faze in play so offside should be given.
1.) It's a rule which needs to be set in stone, as it varies from ref to ref and game to game.
I was watching one of Liverpools goals at the weekend, and Suarez was in an offside position by the 6 yard box, after making a run and not being picked out, I think Sterling was then played in behind the defence, who passed across (so not offside) to Suarez. Surely Suarez gained an advantage by being stood offside?
Not taking anything away from Liverpool or Suarez, just think the rules need to be clearer
2.) Offside is now (2 or 3 years I think this has been in place for) only counted for the last pass when you touch the ball.
So although he was in an 'offside position' twice when the ball was played forward from his own team he did not receive the ball directly from either pass.
Naughton then touched the ball miscuing a clearance, which then put everybody including Lambert back onside.
It is a rule that should be addressed I think as it can be horribly abused, although so far that only seems to happen at free kicks when some players will stand offside knowing that they are invincible. If the ball comes to them from a defender, or from an attacker that is playing it square, he gets an advantage as the defending team cannot mark him or risk putting everyone back onside.

Good news Townsend is on his way back to fitness. Still will be good when jan is back. I still would like a striker in like lyon's gomis and a left back any suggestions on a left back tottenham could sign?
Would be nice if that's true.

Chiriches never won a header last season when he was challenged his tackles always seemed to be last ditch and he got him self in to afew problems with bad touches. I would say I best cb pairing at the moment would be dier and verts.

Hello fellow spurs fans just thought I would put my view point on transfers on here, which I think need to be sorted sonner rather than later.
Players to leave kaboul I personally really like him but he just hasn't been fit enough to play enough games and we have been left short in defence because of this. naughton who just isn't good enough to play for tottenham but maybe an ok back up for walker. gomes may as well go. To be honest I don't rate fryers either well not as a left back he's not fast enough and just looks better built to be a CB. benny who has done well for Tottenham but I think he's burnt a lot of bridges with the club
Players to come in I would like to see another CB a left back as I do not believe in play jan LB when he's by far the teams best CB I would also like another big striker to come in and that man should be Baf�timbi Gomis he got a great work rate and I think he would do well.
I think tottenham have the strongest midfield in the league when all the players are fully fit. Hopefully Hugo gets confidence back soon he's still doing some right things but some odd things when not catching and rushing out. I still think he's the best keeper in the league.
Would like to get some fellow spurs fans ideas just to see if were all on the same wave length.

Zeki fryers is a left back and also jan has played there for us so maybe tottenham think we've got enough in that postion

Even if Ade does go and we keep Soldado we are still in massive need for a striker. i'm impressed with all the deals done so far but if levy doesn't sign a top striker we will end up falling further behind and think we will finish 6th.
Reason rose started fresher legs to try and keep up with the pace of hazard as I couldn't see davies keeping up with him. Fazio again mix bag did well in the air made some saving tackles but cost us a goal by trying to play the ball out like he did. January will be an interesting month will we see some comings and goings?
The man has tunnel vision abit like Arsene. I would of sent him to the stands he carries on and on at officials. glad we stuck it to them about time. Time to push on. COYS
We maybe rebuilding or what ever but the players need to show there giving there all and some games this season we just have not been at the races. and home form has been shocking. We need to play wingers like an above post said get at teams cross the ball get the preasure building on other teams. Bring Back Hoddle he will sort the team out. person ARMY!!!
Why clyne. we've got walker coming back and the american is coming so don't need him. bertrand maybe a half decent signing but we won't as we've splashed cash on davis.
CB needed as I can't see fazio making the grade vlad is the same and kaboul isn't great.
