moring eds I see your poll today is would negredo be a good signing have you heard anything about this I though he wanted to go bk to spain maybe a mardid thanks

paul1982

{Ed001's Note - he was linked in the papers, but he wants to go back to Spain if he leaves City. The only reason he would leave is if it increased his chances of a place in the Spanish squad. Hence the preference for playing in Spain.}

some one called agent 1 has posted this on the main football rumour page.
Jamaal lascelles has signed for Tottenham with a fee of 8 million pounds agreed

paul1982

1.) Psycho Pearce dismissed this, have you got a link to the website?

06 Jul 2014 08:44:32
rummours say we have bid 6 mill for Jamaal Lascelles do you know anything about this eds also Ben Davies is suppose to be going on a tour of usa for 2 weeks today with swans have to see what happens.

paul1982

{Ed008's Note - Ed001 has mentioned on the Liverpool page that Spurs have made an offer for him. A player can easily fly back from a tour to sort out a transfer.

1.) 06 Jul 2014 16:03:54
thanks ed008 I've had a look, ed001 do you have any more info about that bid thanks ps that walkers sounds like a fantasy nut like the orcale how do u put up with so many peolpe who know everthing.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think he is a fantasy nut, he just has his blinkers on and assumes everyone wants to join Spurs. Some people find it difficult to step back and think about it from the viewpoint of someone who is not a fan. He does have a point, in that Lovren was very keen to work with Poch again, but that was before Liverpool bid for him. He wants to prove himself in the Champions League and Spurs haven't got that carrot to dangle.

Spurs themselves have moved on anyway, they know how he feels, so they have gone for targets that would like the step up. Lascelles was the subject of a bid that was rejected by Forest, but the question is how the player feels about it. I am told he would like the opportunity to play in the Prem, but is not going to push for a move, as things stand. With the FFP ruling, Forest's owners can't bankroll huge spending, without increasing income, so they are willing to sell, in order to raise funds for team strengthening, if the price is right for them. I don't believe Spurs value him highly enough to make them sell though.

As for Davies, he would be happy to make the move if the two clubs agree a deal, but again is not looking to move on. They already have Taylor wanting a move because he is not playing, I expect them to sell him and hold onto Davies, unless Spurs significantly raise their bid. If Oviedo was fit, the Costa Rican left back who is Leighton Baines understudy at Everton, then I would have expected a bid for him. Poch rates him very highly and wanted him the previous summer at Southampton. I do expect Spurs to move on from Davies though, unless he can be persuaded to force a move. The young lad at Newcastle (is it Haidara?) is one very possible option, he has been monitored by Spurs, and he hasn't had as much first team football as he wants.}

2.) So, Ed 001, I gather from your post that spurs are planning to buy young academy graduates mainly, no completed players.

{Ed001's Note - Poch likes players he can mould into his system, so he will be looking for younger ones to work with - mainly.}

3.) 07 Jul 2014 20:27:58
Young is one thing, going after all unproven and/or academy graduates if it's not a financial necessity is a wishful ideology rather than a philosophy in this day and age - you need class and some experience or kiss the top 6 goodbye. A lot of noises so far make us sound Villa-esque! We're not going to get superstars but we need to buy quality in those key, weak positions and have the right blend in a system they understand and can play in the positions required.
Agree totally with the comment about ending up in a situation where you might as well have kept Sherwood and gone for anybody 'trying-hard' as our main mantra.

Morning eds according to a couple of papers we have bid 8 mill for Swansea lb Ben Davies, do u know if this is true or guess work by the papers thanks

paul1982

{Ed001's Note - that is news to me, you are after more than one left back (which suggest Poch has already seen what Tim Sherwood didn't, that Rose is not good enough for the role at Spurs), but I was told the second target, as a back up, was Taylor of Swansea. So it could be a mix up by one or the other. I was told it in conversation over the phone, I honestly can't remember whether the words used were just 'Swansea left back' and I filled in Taylor because he came to mind, or if they specifically said Neil Taylor. I have emailed them to ask. It could easily be that the papers are guessing because Poch had Swansea watched a fair bit. They do a lot of that. They have a list of the games that Southampton had scouts at, they will be cross referencing them and making guesses about the players that were being watched. That is how a lot of the rumours they start come about.}

1.) 29 Jun 2014 23:31:33
Thanks for the reply lots more strong rumours tonight, that fee has been agreed 8 mill and personal terms to be discussed then medical, only time will tell do u know if he is any good or is one for the future as I've not watched him thanks

Paulinho says the only offer has come from Tottenham and that he will make a decision on his future after the Confederations Cup this weekend.

"It's not true about Real Madrid, the only offer that has come is from Tottenham, But I have already said that I will only evaluate it after the Confederations Cup. hopefully we get him and maybe villa nxt week

paul1982

1.) David luiz has said that 'paulinho is a great player. He can come to England and he is ready'
With the paulinho comment about us being the only club, I'd say its already sealed and paulinho is a y*d.
Happy days. Should allow us to clear a few off the wage bill and get our squad down. I'd say he replaces scotty, Hudds and Livermore.

Rumours on tv Defoe is out for Nxt 3 games with a muscle injury

paul1982

1.) F***ing typical! let's hope Levy's tightness doesn't come back and bite us on the arse!
Time for Ade to earn some of the mega money he gets paid, has done nothing so far this season. If not perhaps its time to play six in the midfield!

2.) Well not scored since before xmas, so no big loss. barb

lucas lb is critical and I agree rose needs to go and we need a first class lb, at cb we have verts,chirhes,kaboul so if daws goes which looks likely whoever comes in will be young and cheapish and 3rd or 4th choice cb, naughton is 2nd choice to walker, who is goona come in and be happy to sit on the bench not goona get much better and when naughton was played at rb and not lb he was not 2 bad for a 2nd choice player, townsend is young has lots to learn let poch try and work with him for a season he has already said he needs to muture and perform better, kane is not good enough yet but can improve but again unless we sell ade or solado who is goona come in and hardly play and sit on the bench like naughts, I think we need a lb and left winger/ left forward and replace daws, don't forget levy spent over 100 mill last year and is not renound for being a big spender anyway. what do you thing eds?

lloris

walker daw/kab vert ? rose

sandro dembele

townsend remy
bale

striker?

what does everyone else think we have been linked to every striker u can think off, if u wondering why no lennon he would b on the bench as cover he has improved this season but is not good enough for what we want he gets himself in such good areas but can't shoot or pass townsend and remy could come in off the wings and scores lots of goals and create lots of chances? imo guys
