If we were to sell Adebeyor, Soldado, Lennon, and Chiriches, we would have squad space and with all the other sales nearly enough to buy Berahino, Bolasie, Sissoko and Austin, just saying! That would make me actually optimistic too!

Cant say i'm surprised!

22 Sep 2019 11:10:48
If we are looking at future managers how about Eddie Howe or Nuno Santos?

1.) 22 Sep 2019 12:10:18
Not convinced it’s time to dump Poch yet . though my doubts are definitely growing. I’d give him to end of the year, get everyone fit and up to speed (hopefully) . I’d like to see Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele string a run of games together.

2.) 22 Sep 2019 15:17:38
If we look to get rid of Poch I’d look at these 3
In that order. Can’t see the 1st one coming to spurs if I’m honest

Massimiliano Allegri
Brendan Rogers
Gareth Southgate

I’ll judge the wolves man this season. Of which they aren’t looking to impressive this season.

3.) 22 Sep 2019 18:41:04
Gareth Southgate ha ha, he can't keep a clean sheet against Panama. Howe and Santos well out of their depth. Julian Nagelsmann is the stand out candidate. But until we get new owners it just does not matter who it is. Why can't Enic, Tavistock, Levy or who ever it is take their tight wad policy to any other club. Why do we have to be stuck with them. If his six million a year depended on us signing Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window that deal would of been wrapped up before July. #ENICOUT #LEVYOUT.

4.) 22 Sep 2019 19:09:27
Did you watch the World Cup Lucas. At least England now try and score goals furthermore that have a style of play.

Would you not say England have improved under Southgate, playing better football.
Not always picking the so called big players. He’s happy to drop players.
Perhaps you don’t see what I see me old son. I’m not saying we’re going to win the league if we made that appointment. He’s impressed me since he’s taken over.

5.) 22 Sep 2019 22:19:57
Allegri would be an interesting option.

Eddie Howe also . Rogers certainly seems to get the most out of his teams, as long as he learnt his lesson at Liverpool and doesn’t let the bright lights of London distract him.

Nuno and Dyche seem to do well, when their teams don’t have to deal with Thursday nights.

How about Erik ten Hag from Ajax?

6.) 23 Sep 2019 19:43:23
Please, please never let Brendan Rodgers anywhere near Spurs!
Mr ‘I won’t make the same mistake Spurs made with the Gareth Bale money’ Rodgers, did exactly that that summer with, I think it was, the Suarez money 👍
And don’t get me started on his teeth 🦷.

18 Sep 2019 23:35:43
Winks aside, the whole team need to take a serious look at that performance, none of them looked capable of passing water let alone a football! Ndombele looked like he had never played the game before, Alli was rustier than my Nans old gate and Eriksen wouldn't fetch 70p let alone 70mil on that shocker of a performance.

We stank the place out tonight can't sugar coat it. Also as we all know Sanchez will never be a right back, a blind man could see that! Only positive is we didn't lose but the opposistion were distinctly average and would get buried by all Prem teams most weeks. Raver save me a seat in the Subaru!

1.) 19 Sep 2019 16:47:04
Poch not concerned about Eriksen’s commitment cause “he ran a lot “.

If that’s how we’re going to measure our players we are in more trouble than I fear. What about the 22 times he lost possession, in one game! Made Sissoko look good with ball retention.

2.) 20 Sep 2019 18:53:42
Mv wheels there's always room for you in the Subaru mate, give me a shout I will take you out😎.

25 Aug 2019 20:45:37
3 games in and i'm so bored of watching us play. We are so predicable and poor. We do nothing when we have the ball and the minute the opposistion get it they look like scoring. Sanchez is so unaware defensively yet compaired to Rose he is streetwise. Its all well and good having loads of pace to get out of trouble but why not notice it earlier so it doesn't come to that. We have played 2 teams at home against 1 lone forward and yet one long punt down the middle and both them caught out each time. Then we have all the ball and continue to get to their box and just play sideways and backwards. We have no creativity whatsoever, its been like this for some time, i'm not sure what Poch can change with the current squad but we have to show more cutting edge in posession, any ideas?

1.) 25 Aug 2019 21:17:54
Spot on Mvwheels, I'm done with pochetinho and he should be shown the door in May,4 years in charge and its the same story every season and we look like a mid table side at the moment, very poor against villa and Newcastle and and were chasing shadows for 90minutes against city.

2.) 28 Aug 2019 03:15:28
Levy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. 100% agree with these posts. We are shambolic it's just awful Pochettino is well past his sell by date. Nice Guy and a great coach who has achieved much but look at his body language. No other Premier league coach with our record in 2019 would still be in his job. No one. There is no team spirt hardly any of the players celebrated Lamela's City goal. This team will struggle to finish top half never mind top four. I fear its going to get a lot worse before Levy pulls his head out of the sand and figures that Poch's compensation fee is a small price to pay. You can t all keep blaming it on Eriksen just because he has ambition. Eriksen realises what most of you realise that this team and this coach are going to achieve nothing. Sorry but facts are facts.

3.) 28 Aug 2019 13:17:54
Fully agree with you post chris.

4.) 28 Aug 2019 17:05:04
Is this not the virtually the same team that got to the CL final and qualified for the CL again without spending a single penny.

Get in the real world
It’s 3 games in. Calm down.

10 Aug 2019 15:21:21
Glad we loaned Clarke back to Leeds to continue his development and gain experience. 2 games already under his belt (watching from the bench for the full 90) !

1.) 10 Aug 2019 19:23:46
I would think spurs would have an agreement on how many games he’ll play throughout the season.

Yes I get all that Guvnor, but why do we always continue to turn the screw for so long? I am glad we have a solid base and are a properly run club, for which Levy is to be congratulated, but haggling over a couple of mil until the 11th hour when you are talking about a 50 mil plus player makes me think he isn't that interested in the player and will end up with the usual club statement come the 9th, we tried our best but it wasnt possible etc.
On the other hand if we do get it over the line it will have been so dragged out that he probably won't be ready for selection until september. I just would have loved a year where we buy whoever our genuine realistic targets are early in the window so they can prepare and be ready for gameweek one, not gameweek 4. Perhaps I live in a fantasy world!

I am sick to death of us leaving transfers until the 11th hour and then missing out. It stinks of Levy penny pinching again, even if we get Lo Celso he won't be ready for the 1st few games as he will need time to settle in.
Currently from our tiny squad from last year we have got rid of many more than we have added and the contract situation of the ones we have are nearly terminal in some cases, why leave it to drag so long. If they are showing no signs of extending contracts just move them on for the best price you can actually get and stop pissing about for the sake of a few mil and get the players you actually know are available and you want, is it really that complicated?
Im guessing Levy is now planning on signing Sessegnon in jan on a tribunal to save another few mil, risky business!

{Ed002's Note - Embarrassing.}

I think the reason you finished below us was because again you got less points than us! Your arguements are always based on ifs, well here is one for you Oddbod, IF my Auntie had balls she would be my Uncle!

I suppose you have forgotten what it is like to see your fans celebrating taking 3 points? 😉.

I can't see us buying a replacement any time soon. It will mean more minutes for Skipp this season so we may see a bit more of him and what he is made of, he seems to have great potential.

The one thing we desperately need is a CM that can go past a player which then opens up space for the front 3. This is what Dembele has been brilliant at. When he goes past one or two and then gives it we create so much more. We need to have that as in my eyes Dier Wanyama, Winks and Skipp are really all competing for the same posistion and currently Sissoko is the only one for the other CM spot if Dembele goes.

I really like Sissoko in terms of speed stamina work rate and dribbling but technically he isn't good enough and has little to no end product. He does a lung busting 40 yard run, goes past 3 and then misses a 5 yard square pass!

I would also like to add that Dembele has been my favourite player to watch live for the last 3 years and he has completely bossed many of the games I've been to. The guy has such strength and technique, made it look so easy at times, and I will miss him!

Raver I sent a post yesterday and it never went up on here. i'm not saying Poch out just yet but basically my post was pointing out that in our last 25 league games we have only managed 34 points. That points per game ratio wouldn't be good enough for the likes of Everton or Leicester, something needs to change.

{Ed001's Note - did it go on the discussion page? I didn't deal with it so not sure, but it might have been put there by the editor who did. If not then let me know so I can tell Ed033 there is an issue as I can see the post in your posting history and it shouldn't have been deleted.}

Oddbod finally I actually agree with you, we couldn't afford to pay the wages you do, no way could we pay £350k weekly to a guy that offers nothing in almost every game except the Dog and Gun at home and has smaller bollocks than my 9 week old puppy!

I had a rant about this on the rumours page a couple of days ago and the Spursguvnor gave me a very belittling response. I just don't see why Levy tries screwing teams down by a couple more million all the time. To me all it does is piss other clubs off, waste time and risk the whole deals. Its going to be the end of Poch as he can't continue to get top 4 without more backing, let alone compete to win.

Even if we do get Lo Celso over the line it will probably not be until next Thursday which will mean he won't be ready for a while after that. I think Levy just goes too far trying to prove what a tight negotiator he is and although i'm not suggesting we should back down and pay full asking price I think bending a fraction would get deals over the line loads quicker keeping everyone happy and allow us to actually prepare in time for game week 1!

Oddbod, we spent a portion of the £175M that Levy got off the NFL on the retractable pitch, once again proving what a good business man he is. We made moe on that one deal than you have to spend on replacing half a squad of dead wood!
