Hey Eds is their any truth in the paper talk about us putting a bid in for Isco? Would be a brilliant signing!

SpursRob

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid made Isco available summer 2014 - although priced at a level where all but a handful of teams could afford him. They also offered him to Chelsea at the same time as a part exchange for a player but Chelsea were not interested. Bayern Munich and Arsenal made an enquiry regarding Isco's availability last summer. In addition to Chelsea he has also been offered to PSG and Juventus - and Juventus put a significant offer on the table last summer but it was not accepted. Arsenal looked again before the January window closed - but Manchester City and Milan, both of which have been interested in the past, stepped back at that time. Right now there is no interested from Chelsea. Spurs have spoken to his agent knowing the Real Madrid are looking to move him on this summer. Juventus are keen but are not confident anything can be done.}

Looks like my man was right after all Jerrylee!

2.) 29 Aug 2016 09:23:16
What did your man say Ellis? Are we confident of getting this one over the line?

Hi Eds seen on the Southampton site that if they let any of their centre half go they would be interested in Wimmer, Surely deal could be done for us to sign van Dijk with Wimmer plus cash. Playing him at the back with Toby and Jan would be awesome. Any thoughts?

Also would like Isco as I have already said a couple of times and I would take a punt on Sturridge.

SpursRob

{Ed001's Note - swap deals are difficult to set up mate, it is not that simple.}

1.) 16 Dec 2016 13:35:27
Liverpool, Manchester United and Man City are all looking at Van Dijk, aswell as big European clubs.

2.) 16 Dec 2016 20:35:36
We are big Ellis.

Now just wait for the trolls! Ha ha.

3.) 17 Dec 2016 20:58:24
You are not big rob ha ha, you are, a, small time club lol lol. You've only won 3 European trophies ha ha and were the first club to win it All what a embarrassment lol, am I good at doing a wodbod boys lol.

I think we could get some decent back up players who could add competition to the squad from relegated teams. Krul from Newcastle, Redmond from Norwich and Grealish from Villa all fit our criteria.

Just my opinion what does everyone else think?

SpursRob

1.) 24 May 2016 13:02:32
I think our transfer policy is to get players who will improve the team/ squad. Those players you mention don't. Krul would be an upgrade on Vorm though.

2.) 24 May 2016 13:20:34
I agree Rob we need some good back up players, but we also need some experience as well, maybe Gerard Deulofeu, also test the water with Ross Barkley.

3.) 24 May 2016 13:37:21
Redmond has got potential, him with Kante, Schurrle, Michy Batshuayi and Jonathon Calleri would be an impressive window. Just hope the club shows more ambition than the likes of Wanyama and Berahino.

{Ed001's Note - do you really rate Redmond? I don't see anything good about him other than pace. He is a poor man's Aaron Lennon, and Lennon wasn't good enough, so why get a worse version?}

4.) 24 May 2016 13:59:45
This window has to be about upgrades, with experience if possible, we have a young team with a couple more possibly stepping up next season from the academy.

So if we are offloading the likes of Mason, Nabil and Carroll more of the same doesn't cut it. Barkley would be an interesting addition.

5.) 24 May 2016 14:14:54
I think sissoko from Newcastle is a good player, I also rate josh king from Bournemouth another player worth a shot is hatem ben arfa from nice he has been one I the best players in France this year. the ones to go is Davies, bentaleb, Carroll, mason chadli, and Clinton njye . I think son should stay as I think he is worth another season.

6.) 24 May 2016 14:16:03
My opinion only but a move for Carrick would be ideal. Loads of champions league experience and could help Dier make the next step and would see Dembele move further up the field. Grealish has got to be worth a punt though. Think he just needs a manager to put his arm around him a bit.

7.) 24 May 2016 15:00:33
Jack grealish bossed the England u21s last night, I think he scored a hat trick and set a few goals up also. I think he us worth a shot, won't cost much and will only get better with age.

8.) 24 May 2016 16:29:42
Sissoko is a good player, when he decides he actually wants to show up - I'm not sure his attitude will gel with the team that MoPo is building.

Which apparently is something being questioned by some in the squad about Son, which would explain the speculation around him being moved on quickly - we know MoPo has a low tolerance level.

Hi eds with Turan possibly being available for loan to a non-champions league team could he be a option for us? We also need to beat Newcastle to Austin as well

Thanks

SpursRob

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

1.) 17 Jul 2015 12:39:38
Was thinking the exact same thing SpursRob, Barca president has made it clear he wouldn't be allowed to go to another team competing in Champions League, Barca will be desperate for him to play and keep up to match fitness so would definitely be worth looking into

Hi ed's is there any truth in the United 40-45 million bid for kane?

Does anyone else think that Micha Richards would be a really good buy for us? Fits the mould for everything we look for still young, cheap, experience and can cover various positions at the back.

Thanks

SpursRob

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but I am not answering any questions related to Manchester United.}

1.) 15 May 2015 09:25:20
Richards is injury prone but if he can stay injury free then yeah he would be a great signing. Bale once said he is the hardest opponent he played against.

2.) 15 May 2015 09:28:05
How comes?

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

Hi this is my first post on here but I've been reading everything on here for a couple of years now!

I'm just wondering with Chelsea putting a bid in for Rooney would it not show a statement to everyone else if put a big bid in for him? To me we would recoupe most of his transfer through media and sponsorships and he would fit our style and be a big fish in our squad, something he isn't anymore at united. Imagine Bale and Rooney, it would be like the old Rooney ronaldo partnership!

SpursRob

SpursRob

1.) Hi Rob,

As much as I would like to see Rooney come to the Lane, unfortunately, until we have finished the new stadium, we're not going to be able to attract the likes of Rooney because of the salary. We can't afford £200k per week, we could probably do £140-150k but I know I wouldn't want to take a £75-100k per week pay cut especially when there is someone else willing to pay me that amount of money. Such is life at the moment.

Dom

2.) Levy has previous for this, pretend we are in for Aguero, Cavani, Llorente to excite us and then let the fax machine break down at the last minute.

3.) Why not try for mata he is clearly surplus to requirements at the chavs and we wanted him when in spain. he is bettr I feel than rooney.

Ant

Welbeck to the gooners.
Hope we have something up our sleeve, looked too short going forward yesterday.
Wonder if Defoe is on his way home?

I personally like it when The Oracle posts on here, just so I can dismiss the signing straight away and have a chuckle. But he is entertaining and makes me keep coming back on here

I think Isco would be a good signing maybe a cheeky 1 year loan with option to buy depending on madrid transfer embargo.

Totally agree rayray. Would be a shame for our agreement to benefit them again and set us back AGAIN. give us Isco, Ramon and James and we may ghink about it.

I would personally prefered to stay in the f. a cup than progress on the Europa because long term would help us a lot in the league ie no silly 5000 mile trips midweek! Europe means more to foreign coaches than winning the best domestic cup.
